Internship Details and Eligibility
To apply for the internship, applicants must be at least 22 years old at the time of submission. Each candidate is allowed to submit only one application, and multiple entries will lead to disqualification. Incomplete forms or late submissions are not entertained, and any inaccuracies in the information provided result in immediate disqualification.
The selection process involves various stages, including application forms, video resumes, and short interviews. All communication with applicants is carried out through phone calls, WhatsApp, emails, or SMS. By applying, each candidate agrees to the platform's privacy and service policies.
A Trend That Began in 2019
The sleep internship first began in 2019 as an offbeat idea but has steadily grown into a popular initiative that blends wellness with innovation. Every season, participants—known as 'sleep interns'—are expected to get at least nine hours of rest each night for 60 continuous days. Their sleep quality is tracked remotely through contactless monitoring devices and Wakefit-provided mattresses. FDA shuts food units over hygiene, licence violations
Panaji: The directorate of food and drugs administration (FDA) in an inspection drive at Tiswadi and Bardez, directed six food outlets to cease operations. These included a biryani outlet in Agacaim operating in unhygienic conditions without an FSSAI licence, and two cloud kitchens in Sangolda for poor hygiene and structural issues. A kitchen in Mapusa and two food outlets at Assagao were shut for unhygienic conditions. One of the food outlets was fined Rs 5000. Nine chicken sellers in Varca, Orlim, and Carmona were found operating without FSSAI licences and issued stop notices. 'Some units were found operating in temporary structures, lacking basic hygiene, such as no tap water connection, no proper sink/drainage facility, and sanitary cards of food handlers not provided,' director of the FDA, Sweta Dessai, said. A food outlet at Colvaddo, Varca, was also found selling expired food items. Items worth Rs 9000 were destroyed, and food samples were taken for analysis. Expired food items destroyed included 47 containers of chocolates, six containers of fruits, and two packs each of coconut sweets and churma. The FDA also acted on a complaint against a hotel near Khareband, Margao, for illegal cooking on the footpath. The FDA found violations, including the lack of sanitary cards, inadequate pest control, poor kitchen hygiene, the use of iron knives, a faulty false ceiling, the absence of well water test reports, and the use of synthetic food colours. It obtained an undertaking to shift frying from the foot path to indoors, and the outlet was given seven days to comply and submit a report.

Technical staff gives wrong treatment to doctor on train
Patna: A senior govt doctor was allegedly administered the wrong treatment by a technical staff member, not a qualified physician, during her journey on the New Delhi-Patna Tejas Rajdhani Express, raising fresh concerns over the quality and oversight of medical assistance provided to passengers on trains. Dr Divya, head of the eye department at Bulandshahr District Hospital in Uttar Pradesh, was travelling to Patna on Saturday. Midway through the journey, she began experiencing gastric discomfort and dialled the railway helpline 139, requesting urgent medical assistance. According to Dr Divya, she received a call back from an official of the Prayagraj division under North Central Railway (NCR), who informed her that a fee would apply if she wanted medical attention. However, at Kanpur Central station that night, she was shocked when a technical staff member, not a qualified doctor, arrived to attend to her. "He administered an antibiotic, despite my symptoms being clearly related to gastric discomfort. "Even after repeated persuasion, I was not given a bill for the so-called doctor's visit," she said. Responding to the allegation, NCR's chief public relations officer Shashi Kant Tripathi said on Sunday, "The Railway Board has fixed Rs 100 as a nominal fee in some cases for a doctor's visit to attend to a patient on board. There is no such fee like Rs 350 for a doctor's visit. The railways will inquire into the matter." Dr Divya has lodged an online complaint with the Railway Board and NCR authorities. "I have demanded fair treatment for patients on trains and a complete check on this kind of extortion in the name of medical aid," she said.
