EverGen Infrastructure Reports Q1 2025 Results

Business Wire2 days ago

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- EverGen Infrastructure Corp. ('EverGen' or the 'Company') (TSXV: EVGN) (OTCQX: EVGIF), today reported financial results as at and for Q1 2025. All amounts are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated and have been prepared in accordance with IFRS.
Financial Highlights for Q1 2025:
Revenues of $1.9 million for Q1 2025 decreased 41% compared to the same period last year, primarily driven by reduced volumes (due to unexpected operating disturbances) resulting in lower tip fee revenue at the Company's organic waste and composting facilities. These declines were partially offset by increased RNG production and associated revenues from FVB and GrowTEC, as well as tip fee increases at the Company's composting facilities.
Net loss of $1.2 million for Q1 2025 improved by 11% compared to the same period last year, primarily due to lower direct operating costs, depreciation and amortization expense, and finance costs, partially offset by lower revenues and a decrease in insurance proceeds.
Adjusted EBITDA of $0.5 million for Q1 2025 decreased by $0.2 million compared to the same period last year, primarily due to reduced revenues and lower insurance proceeds, partially offset by a decrease in direct operating costs and an increase in non-recurring general and administrative expenses.
RNG production reached a new quarterly record in Q1 2025, driven by the continued ramp-up and stabilization of the FVB RNG expansion project. The FVB facility achieved monthly RNG production record exceeding 12,000 gigajoules (GJs) in both March and April 2025, surpassing the previous high of 11,186 GJs in September 2024. A daily production record of 640 GJs was also set in October 2024.

Mark Carney signals ‘the imperative of making Canada an energy superpower' on eve of first ministers' meeting

SASKATOON—Building bridges — and possibly pipelines — while battling barriers. As Prime Minister Mark Carney meets Monday with the premiers, he wants to fast-track 'nation-building' infrastructure projects and eliminate interprovincial trade barriers to strengthen a Canadian economy under attack from U.S. President Donald Trump. 'Partnership is a theme for our discussion this morning,' Carney said Sunday in Calgary at a roundtable with leading figures from the oil and gas industry before the first ministers' meeting. Prime Minister Mark Carney met with oil and gas executives in Calgary to get their input for his plans to make Canada an energy superpower. Carney, in his first visit to Calgary since being sworn in as prime minister, sat down for a closed door roundtable with several representatives of the energy sector. (June 1, 2025 / The Canadian Press) 'It's a critical time for our country. The world's certainly more divided and dangerous and the imperative of making Canada an energy superpower in all respects has never been greater. We will do everything we can at the federal government level to support those partnerships,' he said. In a letter to the prime minister released Sunday, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith said her province wants to get its products to market while reducing dependence on the U.S., meaning pipelines to tidewater must be among Carney's nation-building priorities. 'Failure to have an oil pipeline on the initial list will perpetuate current investment uncertainty and send an unwelcome signal to Albertans concerned about Ottawa's commitment to national unity,' warned Smith, referring to the potential for a referendum on secession in Alberta. Ontario Premier Doug Ford — who signed a memorandum of understanding Sunday with Saskatchewan's Scott Moe to remove barriers to trade and labour mobility between the two provinces — said it was 'encouraging' that Carney was in Calgary earlier in the day to meet with energy executives. 'This prime minister is really sending out olive branches across the country. He understands the previous prime minister (Justin Trudeau) totally ignored Alberta, totally ignored Saskatchewan. That was unacceptable,' said Ford. 'Let's get rid of all this regulation and red tape that's prohibiting us from moving forward at a rapid speed, because it all depends on the speed right now,' he said, noting Trump 'wants to annihilate our economy' with tariffs on Canadian products. Prime Minister Mark Carney is huddling with the country's premiers in Saskatoon to find a consensus on what major industrial projects Canada should prioritize and quickly approve. (June 1, 2025 / The Canadian Press) With Carney pledging to lift Ottawa's hurdles to internal trade by Canada Day, just one month from now, Ford stressed Ontario has also inked accords with Alberta, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. 'I'm confident we'll come up with a deal (with Quebec, British Columbia and Newfoundland and Labrador),' he said, pointing out internal trade barriers cost the Canadian economy $200 billion annually and can add 15 per cent to the cost of many goods and services. Quebec Premier François Legault's government tabled a bill Friday to get rid of some interprovincial trade barriers that have limited labour mobility for workers from other parts of Canada. 'What we're doing is sending a signal that Quebec is open to interprovincial trade. If we want to have better access to the Canadian market, we have to accept to open ours,' said Quebec Minister for the Economy Christopher Skeete. But Quebec, which has a shortage of construction workers, plans to keep in place labour barriers in that sector. Saskatchewan's Moe said the leadership change in Ottawa is palpable among the premiers. 'Credit to Prime Minister Carney. He is aware that there's … a feeling of alienation in certain areas of the nation, and Saskatchewan almost certainly would be one of those areas,' he told reporters. 'I would say that it's a reactionary feeling due to the layering of policies that we've seen over the last number of years. That the feeling is, is that it has cost Saskatchewan communities and industries jobs.' To that end, Moe said 'a port-to-port corridor throughout Western Canada … would essentially open up not only the Asian market, but advance our access into the European market as well, for many products.' British Columbia Premier David Eby, who has headed on a trade mission in Asia and will miss the first ministers' meeting, said 'the asks of Alberta are very predictable' in terms of oil and gas. 'Premier Smith has been advocating for this pipeline access for a long time. I'm not surprised that she is continuing to advocate for it,' Eby said Saturday. 'There's no project yet currently — of which I'm aware — and so if finally a project is proposed and financed, whether private or public, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.' Some First Nation leaders and environmentalists have expressed concern about new pipelines at a time when the world is trying to wean itself off of carbon-emitting fuels. Before flying to Saskatoon, Carney announced Marc-André Blanchard, Canada's former ambassador to the United Nations, will be his new chief of staff starting next month, succeeding interim chief Marco Mendicino, who is considering a Toronto mayoral run . He has convened a major summit here for the first time since 1985 to signal to Western Canada that Ottawa is listening to its concerns after a decade of his predecessor's policies that rankled many in Saskatchewan and Alberta. The confab comes as the U.S. president's tariffs aimed at Canada are helping to clear the logjam of interprovincial trade barriers that have left regions competing with one another.

Faraday Future Holds First Annual Stockholders' Day, Company Provides FX Product Updates, Confirms FX Super One Launch Timing, and Secures 600 New Deposits from Multi-Channel Network (MCN) Agencies

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) ('Faraday Future', 'FF' or 'Company'), a California-based global shared intelligent electric mobility ecosystem company, held its first Annual Stockholders' Day on Saturday, May 31, at the Company's global headquarters in Los Angeles. Attendees included stockholders and other Company guests who experienced Company presentations and updates, and personalized FF and FX vehicle ride and drive experiences. The event also offered an open Q&A session with FF executives and a special private dinner after the event for stockholders, offering an exclusive opportunity to engage directly with Company leadership. Words of encouragement from some of the Company's newest B2B partners were also delivered at the event. 'I want to personally thank all of the guests for being here at our very first 'Annual Stockholders' Day. It was a genuine pleasure to extend a welcoming hand to everyone who attended this event,' said Co-CEO YT Jia. 'This was more than just another Company event, it showed our unwavering commitment to stockholder engagement, long-term value creation, and full commitment to our 'Stockholders-First' principle.' FX Product and Brand Updates The Company plans to host the first exclusive offline product launch event for the FX Super One on June 29, tailored for five key groups: FF stockholders and investors; B2B sales partners and prospects; global supply chain partners; media, influencers and KOLs; co-creation officers and celebrities. Subsequently, FX will host a large-scale public launch event on July 17, the 'Super One Online Global Product Launch,' targeting retail consumers and opening up the large-scale online B2C paid pre-orders. FX Super One has now officially entered the parts procurement and production preparation phase. Internally, we've already started the countdown sprint toward having our first production vehicle off-line by year-end. Development of our second model and future products is also progressing steadily and according to plan. The Company is seeing strong momentum with B2B pre-orders for the FX brand. With the latest paid pre-order agreements, totaling 600 units, signed with two MCN agencies: CreatoRev and Good Deal, total binding B2B deposits for FX Super One now cover over 2,500 non-binding pre-orders. This marks significant progress toward FX's goal to disrupt the market dominance of some leading market players such as the Cadillac Escalade. CreatoRev and Good Deal will also collaborate as paid co-creation partners, enhancing the AI-MPV experience. This deep co-creation with leading American MCNs marks a breakthrough and key innovation in FX's Co-Creation Ecosystem Online Direct Sales. Through this, we broke away from influencer advertising and pioneered an end-to-end B2B2C co-creation ecosystem model between an automaker and MCN-affiliated creators, a model that's never been seen before in the global auto industry. At this point, FX's B2B pre-orders now expand to three major categories: FF Par (Partner) program; commercial rental and livery companies; and livestream ecommerce MCN agencies. In the first phase, we are planning to expand our reach across eight U.S. states (California, New York, Florida, Texas, Washington, New Jersey, Neveda, and Massachusetts). FX is expecting to unveil the FX 4 product plan in Q3 2025 and begin accepting pre-orders before year end. Positioned as 'the disruptor of RAV4 in the AIEV era,' the FX 4 is the planned model with the greatest potential to become a true blockbuster and unlock the mainstream market within FX's current product lineup. Company Operation Updates On the user operations front, the Company is accelerating the digitalization, systemization, and IT integration of its user engagement ecosystem, a key accomplishment for the mass production and delivery of FX next year. On the after-sales service front, the Company is advancing the FX Service Par program, working to quickly establish collaborations with major automotive service providers, dealerships, and aftermarket partners. The Company is building a robust internal R&D system, especially centered on bringing much of the software and AI, bringing the core technologies, software, and AI capabilities in our $300,000 flagship FF 91 to the FX product line. In the second half of the year, our voice interaction system based on large language models and the full FF ecosystem of services could be deployed in the planned FX Super One and FX 4. The Company is working to complete the full-vehicle engineering, supply chain integration, testing and validation, mass production readiness, and U.S. regulatory compliance for the Super One and launching the hardware development of the FX 4. FF has successfully built a complete cycle for the FF 91—from product definition to after-sales support. Leveraging our 'Light, Swift, and Empowering' model, FX is able to complete this entire process in less time than the industry average. Middle East Updates As part of FF's global strategy, the Company's Middle East facility in Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) is now ready for occupancy. The local team will be taking over shortly, bringing international production capacity another step closer to reality. In the second half of the year, and contingent on available funding, FX aims to begin production of the FX Super One in the Middle East. The Middle East strategy presents four key values: Faster and more streamlined compliance processes; A high concentration of high net-worth users with strong demand for luxury business-class vehicles like the Super One; A critical opportunity to train our teams and validate our operational systems in preparation for large-scale U.S. market execution; and Visibility from FX's production, sales, and delivery, which will demonstrate our value and could bring strategic investors to the region.
