Palestinian Presidency affirms that Palestine is not for sale
Ammon News - The official spokesman for the Palestinian presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said that Palestine, with its land, history and holy sites, is not for sale, and it is not an investment project, and the rights of the Palestinian people are not negotiable and are not a bargaining chip.
Abu Rudeineh added that our Palestinian people, who have made great sacrifices in defense of their legitimate national rights and in order to preserve their independent national decision represented by the Palestine Liberation Organization, the sole legitimate representative of our people, will not give up an inch of their land, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine.
He continued, "The Palestinian people and their leadership will not allow the repetition of the catastrophes of 1948 and 1967, and will thwart any plan aimed at liquidating their just cause through investment projects whose place is neither in Palestine nor on its land."
The official spokesman for the presidency pointed out that the Arab and international response to the US administration's plans to displace the Palestinians proved that the entire world speaks one language stemming from international legitimacy and international law, while the US administration alone speaks a different language, and there are American voices, members of Congress, and Israeli voices that consider this project unworkable.
Abu Rudeineh reiterated that achieving peace, security, and stability stems from Palestine, specifically from its capital, Jerusalem, with its Islamic and Christian sanctities, and not from anywhere else, nor by any decision from anyone.
He pointed out that President Mahmoud Abbas, in an official statement, praised the positions of Arab and international countries that reject calls for displacement or annexation, stressing that there is no alternative to political solutions based on international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative, for a lasting and stable peace that achieves security and stability for the countries of the region. He reiterated that Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety of 144 dunums, is a solely Islamic holy site, and that the Jerusalem Awqaf Department, affiliated with Jordan's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, is the sole legal authority responsible for managing and overseeing all affairs of the mosque and regulating entry to it.
