Telegram CEO Pavel Durov on Tesla CEO Elon Musk: We are very different

Time of India5 hours ago

Telegram
co-founder and CEO
Pavel Durov
has said that Tesla CEO
Elon Musk
is "very emotional". Despite both men being compared for fathering multiple children — Musk with at least 11 known children and Durov claiming over 100 via sperm donation—Durov noted that they have fundamental differences in temperament. Durov, with a net worth of nearly $14 billion, recently stated that all of his children would inherit a portion of his fortune. This detail emerged during an interview where he also weighed in on the personalities of his prominent tech counterparts, including Facebook founder
Mark Zuckerberg
and
OpenAI
CEO Sam Altman.
What Pavel Durov said about Elon Musk and other tech leaders
In a recent interview with French publication Le Point, while talking about the world's richest man, Durov said:
'We are very different. Elon runs several companies at once, while I only run one. Elon can be very emotional, while I try to think deeply before acting.'
He also said that what some people see as Musk's weaknesses may help make him stronger in some ways.

When asked about Zuckerberg, Durov said that the
Meta
CEO
'adapts well and quickly follows trends, but he seems to lack fundamental values that he would remain faithful to, regardless of changes in political climate or fashion in the tech sector.'
This comes after Durov recently criticised
WhatsApp
to be a
"cheap, watered-down imitation of Telegram."
Durov also highlighted Altman's social skills, noting that they have helped him form important partnerships connected to
ChatGPT
.
Meanwhile, referring to Ilya Sutskever, OpenAI's co-founder and former chief scientist, Durov said:
'But some wonder if his technical expertise is still sufficient, now that his co-founder Ilya and many other scientists have left OpenAI.'
He also mentioned that it will
"be interesting"
to see if ChatGPT can maintain its lead in the competitive
AI chatbot
space.

Trichy startups get branding support from AU incubation centre

Trichy: The state govt-funded Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation (ABIRF) has extended branding support to nine promising Trichy-based startups in various sectors to enhance their visibility. Under the Startup Brand Identity Launch programme, the foundation, which operates from Anna University Trichy campus, has extended suggestions and designed logos with brand names for the identified startups at a concessional rate. Officials said that all nine startups, which are in their early stage of their business ventures involving technology, are run by youths aged less than 32. The startups are from property technology, food, automobile, and robotics sectors. By using one of the startups nurtured by Anna incubation centre, brand logos and names for nine startups were designed by the centre. "Proper logo and brand names will enhance the startup's visibility, build brand equity, and accelerate market presence for early-stage ventures. It is quite expensive if done outside, so we utilised the help of one of our home-grown design startups to support others," Vinoth Malaikani, chief executive officer in-charge of ABIRF, said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo The newly designed logos that explain the roles and fields of each startup were launched by J Innocent Divya, commissioner, Directorate of Technical Education, at ABIRF office on Friday. "So far, our startup did not have a proper logo, and consumers were not understanding our domain. The new logo and brand name designed with the support of the incubation centre was cost-effective, and customers now understand our operational areas," Vinothkumar Palanivel, founder and CEO of LandMarket, a property tech startup, told TOI. The incubation centre provided suggestions in branding and outreach initiatives for the startups to attract their target consumers. ABIRF, which is supported by Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) of Tamil Nadu govt, has provided infrastructural support, mentoring, product development assistance, and investor connect services to the startups.

Best Russian Infantry Units in Broken Arrow

Image via: Slitherine Ltd In the real-time tactics game Broken Arrow, Russia's infantry dominate their times on offense as well as defense, providing players diverse, powerful, specialized units that their infantry outclassed. Split into three shock formations VDV Brigade, Guard Tank Brigade, and Coastal Troops these ground forces offer tactical depth, mobility, and firepower that can help place a battle on a favorable trajectory. Here's a deeper dive into what makes these divisions' ranged infantry units such standouts, and where they fit into battlefield dynamics. Airborne Might: The VDV Brigade The VDV (Vozdushno-desantnye Voyska) Brigade is symbolic of Russia's elite paratroopers, known for their quick deployment and maneuverability. VDV AGS-30 used as a high mobility suppression unit, raining explosive rounds onto dismounted infantry and light vehicles. Where the M240L really excels is in urban combat and choke points. VDV Kornet and VDV Metis: M retrofits give sharp bite to airborne and amphibious tactics. The Kornet team provides longer range advanced anti-tank firepower for harder targets, while Metis-M routes fast-moving elements into more mobile heavy-hitting fire support. For anti-air defense, VDV Igla arrives in battle, downing enemy helicopters and low-flying aircraft with the Igla-D man-portable surface-to-air missile launcher. VDV DSH, armed with RPG: 7Vs and field-expedient smoke grenade launchers, excels in close-quarters ambush scenarios, though perhaps most significantly it's versatile enough to engage lightly armored threats. UPDATED FIRST LOOK at ALL RUSSIAN units and customization! | Broken Arrow This trifecta of units only really flourishes when played in concert with one another, an overwatch providing cover from afar while another unit pushes on the objective while a third unit locks down the skies. Mechanized Versatility: Guard Tank Brigade The Guard Tank Brigade punches through the defenses, fielding a combination of heavier infantry with powerful anti-armor capabilities and shock troops to breach defenses. Gvardii Motostrelki, an 8-man squad that brings even more durability and heavy weapons to snowflake infantry, breaks the trend. Provided with RPG-28s and riot control-style smoke-grenade dispensers, they excel at deadly, mazelike, close-quarters battles. Ingenery-Shturmoviki adds an additional layer of tactics. These engineers deploy flashbangs to disorient enemies before clearing rooms or urban spaces. This is great for aggressive plays. Offering the most area denial capability of any grenade, the AGS-40 team reinforces existing defensive lines, using area denial grenades to sweep across choke-points and funneling enemy units into kill zones, buying time against enemy waves. Guard units perform best in multi-layered attacks where line of sight and maneuverability are critical. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với mức chênh lệch giá thấp nhất IC Markets Đăng ký Undo Maritime Power Projection: Oceanic Forces The Coastal Troops' strength in numbers is matched by their tactical versatility, as they're ideal for both attrition warfare and defensive posturing in war of a longer duration. Chernye Berety, the game's biggest infantry unit at 14 guys, are designed to take a beating and walk through contested points. Their RPG-27—or the copycat RPG-29—makes them a serious threat to armored vehicles. Their sheer size makes them durable. Russia Mechanised Infantry // Broken Arrow Specialization Overview What really distinguishes Russian infantry in Broken Arrow is not their variety, but the cross-branch synergy between different roles: air-droppable shock troops, entrenched engineers, long-range AT teams, and oversized eight-man squads that win purely in numbers. Whether you're completing an ultra-quick airborne insertion or defending a village from hordes of attackers, there's a Russian unit or tech tree branch specifically designed to do it. Choosing the right mix, deciding how much anti-air, anti-armor, or direct fire capability they need to defeat light forces is critical to maximizing their potential on the battlefield. Each battery combined with thoughtful integration isn't just an element, they're the foundation of Russian land battle supremacy. Mondays are for hustle, Fridays for AI: Study reveals why Gen Z wants bots to do the boring stuff

In a revealing new survey by Grammarly, conducted in collaboration with Talker Research, American knowledge workers have offered a striking glimpse into their daily grind—and what they desperately want to leave behind. With productivity peaking at exactly 11 a.m. on Mondays and plunging into a nosedive by Friday at 12:06 p.m., the data shows that the modern office worker may be more reliant on caffeine and coping mechanisms than ever before. But as frustration brews, one thing is becoming crystal clear: artificial intelligence might just be the escape route everyone is hoping for. Too Many Tasks, Too Little Time The survey, which polled 2,000 American employees working in knowledge-based roles, revealed that the average worker faces a barrage of 53 tasks a week that derail their productivity. This task overload adds up to over three and a half hours of 'lost productivity' every single week—a steep cost in time and efficiency. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Play War Thunder now for free War Thunder Play Now Undo And what are the culprits behind this loss? Repetition and monotony. A staggering 44% of respondents admitted to 'hating' the repetitive aspects of their jobs. The discontent is especially strong among Gen Z employees, with 57% reporting deep dissatisfaction with mundane tasks, compared to just 42% of Gen X workers. AI: Not the Enemy, but the Ally Enter AI, not as the job-snatching villain of workplace anxiety, but as the hero workers are actually rooting for. Sixty-two percent of participants said they're eager to use AI for certain tasks, and the enthusiasm is highest among younger employees. You Might Also Like: 'I earned my graduation degree before AI': This one-line reply got the candidate into next interview round What do they want AI to do? The wish list is pragmatic and insightful. Nearly half the respondents (49%) said they want AI tools that are easy to use. Over a third (35%) want help drafting emails, while another third said they'd love AI support for data sorting and meeting note-taking. Simplicity, autonomy, and integration with existing workflows are top priorities—indicating a growing demand for AI solutions that fit seamlessly into daily routines. Heather Breslow, Head of UX and Marketing Research at Grammarly, summed it up: 'By minimizing the tedious tasks that get in the way of true productivity, AI users have time to focus on more meaningful work that requires their judgment, creativity and care.' Policy Lag or Opportunity Lost? Despite widespread willingness to embrace AI, the corporate world appears sluggish in response. Only 38% of the surveyed workers said their companies have a clear AI usage policy. Yet half of all respondents—and a whopping 67% of Gen Z workers—wish their workplaces were more proactive in integrating AI tools. This enthusiasm stems from hope, not fear. Sixty-four percent view AI as a career growth opportunity rather than a threat. An overwhelming 76% believe AI will become essential in corporate roles—and they expect that transformation to become reality in just three and a half years. You Might Also Like: 'They copy-pasted from AI': Tech company offers Rs 20 lakh, can't find a single techie who understands code The Workplace Wake-Up Call Grammarly's report sounds a clear alarm for employers dragging their feet on digital transformation . As Breslow notes, 'For organizations to stay competitive in a landscape where everyone is harnessing AI, they must actively invest in helping their people use it well.' That means structured upskilling, thoughtful tool integration, and a cultural shift toward creating AI super users—teams empowered not just to adapt, but to thrive in an AI-powered future. Whether it's sorting spreadsheets, drafting meeting notes, or simply eliminating the dread of repetitive clicks, the message from the workforce is unmistakable: Let the bots take the boring stuff.
