Art installation to be displayed during NATO summit in Dayton
'Think Freedom,' a comprehensive public art project, will be on display in the Dayton Arcade this May. This is the first time the Sarajevo-based art piece will be on display in the United States.
'The arrival of the 'Think Freedom' art installation in Dayton for Dayton 2025 is a powerful symbol of resilience, unity, and the enduring pursuit of freedom,' said Congressman Mike Turner.
The piece incorporates sculpture, installation, light, text and new global communication technologies to make a statement.
'I believe that art still has the universal power to inspire, that art can give impulses of hope, imagination, and creativity in order to build freedom and connectivity – simply put, to build a better world,' said Edina Seleskovic, Creator, Think Freedom.
Local schools and artists of the Miami Valley will help the creator during installation by sharing their words and phrases of peace.
'Think Freedom' will be on display to the public May 21-31 in the Rotunda of the Dayton Arcade at 31 S. Main Street. Click here for updates on viewing times and activities.

Dershowitz last week announced he is filing a discrimination suit against the West Tisbury Farmers Market where he claims he was denied service over his politics. Dershowitz's disturbing experience did not sit right with the Trump-supporting Nowocien, who grew up under Communism. 'As a Polish immigrant, I hate to hear about discrimination in the US because of people's political views,' said the 39-year-old, whose father fought against Communism. 'That shouldn't happen here. Dershowitz took to his YouTube channel last week to announcing he was filing a discrimination suit against the market he claims denied him service on the basis of his politics. Nowocien, a member of Trump's Mar-a-Lago retreat in Florida, insisted, 'While we may not all agree on politics, no one should be denied a pierogi — or food. This should never happen in the US.' The businessman said that while the Jewish Dershowitz may not dive into his shop's special Philly cheesesteak, spicy beef or bacon and cheddar variety pierogis, the traditional cheese and potato and mushroom and sauerkraut are classic options. 'I believe the American dream is still possible – because I'm living it,' he said. Contrasting his life growing up in the shadow of Communism to the capitalist bastion of the US, Nowocien praised the 'highest levels of personal freedom' in the US compared to Europe. 'And we must protect it. Poland has a very tough history. We know what happens when Nazis and Communists try to divide people,' he said. 'I want to bring people together through food. Netanyahu lays out Gaza City incursion goals as critics warn it could turn to Israel's ‘Vietnam'
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu laid out Sunday his five goals to seize Gaza City and free it from Hamas — as he faces mounting pressure, with one world leader warning that the military incursion could turn into his own 'Vietnam.' Netanyahu called his plan to invade Gaza City 'the best way to end the war' quickly, as he laid out the five-point plan for peace. 'One, Hamas disarmed. Second, all hostages freed. Third, Gaza demilitarized. Fourth, Israel has overriding security control. Adult film star Lina Bina, a k a Miss John Dough, has died at age 24 — just days after confessing she was 'going through a lot,' according to Florida authorities and social media. The OnlyFans star and influencer died Tuesday, according to the Polk County Medical Examiner. 'Sorry I've been so ghost I'm going through a lot of s–t rn,' Bina wrote in her final X post Aug. 1.
