Amruta recalled one particular incident during her theatre days that left her shaken but not silenced.
Amruta Subhash is not someone who stays silent when lines are crossed. In an interview, the Gully Boy and Wonder Women star opened up about disturbing encounters with inappropriate behaviour including one with a 'big producer" and how she chose to face each of them with fearless confrontation.
Speaking to Zoom, Amruta recalled one particular incident during her theatre days that left her shaken but not silenced. 'There was a producer of a play. I was climbing some stairs, and maybe my top lifted slightly… I felt something — a hand near my waist. I turned around and he was a big producer," she said. What followed was a bold callout in front of everyone present. 'I just looked at him and said, 'What did you just do? What was that?'" Despite his attempts to brush it off, she didn't let it slide. 'I felt it. What was that?" she said. When he blamed her outfit, she retorted, 'It's none of your business! How dare you touch me there?"
The producer was 'very elderly" and well known, but Amruta didn't care about repercussions. 'Everybody was like, 'Her roles will be gone,' and I said, 'Let it go to hell.'"
That wasn't her only unsettling experience. On a train, a teenage boy tried to touch her inappropriately. Instead of shaming him, Amruta took a more instructive route, teaching him a lesson he's unlikely to forget.
In another episode, a senior filmmaker repeatedly harassed her with late-night drink invitations. She finally stormed into his room and confronted him head-on: 'Sir, you are my father's age. Why are you talking to me like this?" She made sure the door stayed open for her safety and delivered her message loud and clear.
'Look them in the eye. These kinds of men are afraid of eye contact," she said. 'If you look scared, they'll try to overpower you. But if you stare right back — they get scared."

Siddhant Chaturvedi's Mother Proudly Selects Saree For Dhadak 2 Premiere

Siddhant Chaturvedi's mother's heartwarming moment is winning the internet. Siddhant Chaturvedi, who is all set to charm the audiences with his intense performance in his romantic drama Dhadak 2, shared a heartwarming video featuring his mother. The actor took to social media to share an adorable clip of his mom excitedly deciding which saree to wear for the grand premiere of his film, which is happening later today. Her infectious enthusiasm and motherly pride lit up the screen, making the moment instantly relatable and wholesome for fans across the country. In the video, Siddhant's mother can be seen holding up different sarees. The actor shared the video with a caption that says, 'Premiere ke liye साड़ी ka selection chal raha." Recently, the actor revealed that he had already filmed a major chunk of the movie without knowing it would eventually be titled Dhadak 2 — and the first person to break the news to him was none other than Dhadak star Ishaan Khatter. During a recent promotional event, Siddhant shared the unusual anecdote. 'He [Ishaan] was the one who told me before I knew, and I had already shot half of the film by then," the Gully Boy actor recalled with a laugh. 'Without me knowing, and he knows." The surprise revelation happened when Siddhant ran into Ishaan at a film screening. Meanwhile, Dhadak 2 stars Siddhant opposite Triptii Dimri in what's being described as an intense love story. Helmed by debutante director Shazia Iqbal and produced by Dharma Productions, the film serves as a spiritual sequel to the 2018 hit Dhadak, which introduced Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor to Bollywood. Unlike its predecessor, which was a remake of Sairat, Dhadak 2 adapts the critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal (2018) for Hindi audiences. With a powerful premise, a fresh pairing, and the promise of emotionally charged storytelling, Dhadak 2 is all set to hit theatres on August 1, 2025. With Dhadak 2, Siddhant Chaturvedi is all set to take on the most emotionally intense role of his career — a performance that demands vulnerability, restraint, and raw romantic depth. Known for his effortless charm in Gully Boy and brooding presence in Gehraiyaan, Siddhant is now stepping into a space that will escalate his range as an actor. view comments First Published: July 30, 2025, 19:35 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Siddhant Chaturvedi Sings Dhadak 2's Duniya Alag With ‘Yaar' Shreyas Puranik

Last Updated: Sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Shreyas Puranik, Duniya Alag captures a raw truth: facing the world is the toughest challenge a person can encounter, not love. As the song continues to win hearts, Siddhant recently sat down for a special music session with his 'college friend' and composer Shreyas. In a video shared on Instagram, the two artists are seen jamming on Duniya Alag. The monochrome clip captures the Gully Boy actor on the mic, while Shreyas also lent his vocals and played the guitar. Siddhant Chaturvedi On Working With Shreyas Puranik: Sharing the clip, the actor reflected on collaborating with his college buddy in Dhadak 2. He wrote, 'Jab college ke do nikaamme yaar saalon baad ek hi project pe kaam karein, it hits different. I think this is every upcoming artist's dream." He wrote, 'Shreyas and I attended the same college — two small-town boys balancing KTs while pursuing big-city aspirations. You may know him as Shreyas Puranik, the hit maker behind some of the biggest chartbusters and amazing tunes that will shake your spirit. But I recall him as the boy with fearless assurance, sitting on the canteen bench, curls bouncing, strumming his rustic guitar. A crowd of students gathered around him, hooting, humming, and harmonising. What about today? Sab usi ke dhun pe gaa rahe hai. I love you, brother. This is only the beginning. There's so much more to come." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Siddhant Chaturvedi (@siddhantchaturvedi) Reacting to the post, Shreyas commented, 'Bhai, this post made me emotional. From college spaces to film credits, it's been a crazy and amazing adventure. You've always handled your heritage gracefully, and sharing this moment with you means the world. Here's to more music, memories, and dreams shared together. Grateful for you always." Dhadak 2: Story and Plot: The film is an official Hindi remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, and follows the story of Nilesh (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Vidhi (Triptii Dimri), two young lovers navigating the complexities of caste and class prejudice in modern India. In conversation with Zoom, Anusha Dandekar recalled a funny memory of working with Amitabh Bachchan and John Abraham in Viruddh. She said, 'I still remember shooting my first scene with Mr Bachchan. I was really nervous, standing in a corner rehearsing on my own… when John came up to me and said, 'If you forget your lines, Mr Bachchan will be very angry." I have such special films because of you. I also get to say I worked with the greatest," she wrote, cherishing the memories. Anusha's journey in the entertainment world began with MTV's Dance Crew and led her to films like Delhi Belly, Mumbai Matinee and Anthony Kaun Hai.
