Snoop Dogg Rolls Up on Al Roker for Weed-Themed Weather Report: ‘It's 57 Degrees in Mary Jane Falls, Nevada'
'Aye, let me get this weather together real quick,' Snoop Dogg, who is widely known as a cannabis lover, before dance-walking over to Al Roker.
'We prepared a special map. All you gotta do is touch the map and you will see some special Snoop cities,' Roker said as he guided the rapper and businessman. Cities with names inspired by marijuana slang and jargons then appeared on the board.
'For example it's … ,' Roker said. But just as he was about finish explaining, Snoop jumped in to take over.
'Al, it's 57 degrees in Mary Jane Falls, Nevada. And then I heard it was going to be 56 degrees in Stoner, Colorado,' Snoop said.
'But my favorite is when it's nice, hot and misty outside, 84 degrees in Blunt, South Dakota,' Snoop continued covering states on the coasts and the Midwest.
'Slidin' on down to this area, 'Above the Average Highs,' 70 Degrees in Roach, Missouri,' he carried on as Roker laughed and clapped on the side. 'And over here, I love, we stay luck in Kentucky, it's going to be 60 as we blaze in Blaze, Kentucky, ya dig?'
He concluded the weather report by emphasizing the hilarious names of the real U.S. cities.
'Over here we got Pottsville, Pennsylvania, what would be 60 degrees, and down low on the go, 61 degrees in High Point, North Carolina. Get that, High Point, North Carolina,' Snoop said as he closed out.
'That's the best one we've ever had!' Roker said at the end of the segment.
The musician joined the journalists to discuss the booked and busy life he had in 2024, including him cheering on Team USA at the Olympics and becoming the newest coach 'The Voice.' The rapper is also gearing up to release his upcoming album 'Missionary,' which drops in November. It will be entirely produced by Dr. Dre.

McKenzie Sadeghi, AI and foreign influence editor at NewsGuard, said in an interview that since early 2024, the group has been publishing 'pro-Kremlin content en masse in the form of videos' mimicking these organizations. 'If even just one or a few of their fake videos go viral per year, that makes all of the other videos worth it,' she said. While online Russian influence operations have existed for many years, security experts say artificial intelligence is making it harder for people to discern what's real. Storm-1679 developed a distinct technique in 2024 for combining videos with AI-generated audio impersonations of celebrity and expert voices, according to Microsoft's Threat Analysis Center. One high-profile example of this tactic surfaced ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics and included a fake documentary series featuring Netflix's logo and an AI-generated deepfake voice of actor Tom Cruise as the narrator. And in December 2024, the group used these tools to generate fake videos impersonating trusted sources like journalists, professors and law enforcement to sow seeds of distrust toward NATO member countries and Ukraine. 'They are just throwing spaghetti, trying to see what's going to stick on a wall,' said Ivana Stradner, a researcher on Russia at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, a Washington think tank. Sadeghi said that 'timing and the news cycle' — events like elections, sporting events or wars — play a big role in Storm-1679's operations. 'It typically tends to surge and launch a wave of fakes around a particular news event,' she said. And while the majority of these videos rarely gain traction and are quickly debunked, the content occasionally takes off. The group was behind a fabricated E! News video in February that claimed the U.S. Agency for International Development paid for celebrities to visit Ukraine after Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022.

A Novel That Offers the Pleasure of Seeing a Perfect Family Crumble
DOMINION, by Addie E. Citchens Addie E. Citchens's debut novel, set in the Mississippi Delta town of Dominion, offers readers the delectable pleasure of watching an outwardly perfect family crumble under its own arrogance and rot. The Winfreys live in a wealthy part of town 'with all the rest of the fancy Black folk,' presiding over the venerable Seven Seals Missionary Baptist Church and a small-business empire that includes a barbershop, radio station and restaurant. Their story is told in first-person sections that alternate between Priscilla, the first lady of Seven Seals, and Diamond, an unrooted girl who devotes herself to Manny, the brightest star in the constellation of Winfrey sons. In its exploration of female competition and resourcefulness, 'Dominion' may remind readers of Zora Neale Hurston's work. At her best, Citchens can effortlessly convey history, personality and desire, as when Diamond explains Manny's appeal: When he passed … the girls sighed. When he picked you, you didn't giggle about him with your girlfriends, or they would get too jealous and try to slander your name. Me and my siblings were smelly poor when we were younger, and on top of that, my mama went and left … which was shameful in itself. Kids like me usually went through school either being very violent or very quiet. I wasn't a fighter, so I had long ago chosen the latter. … I was content to watch him, knowing I would never get the chance to love him. Given her harrowing childhood, revealed in gut-wrenching flashbacks (roach-infested motels, parental disappearance, a Coke machine clunking down its cans at all hours of the night), Diamond is clearly the character to root for. The other major characters aren't as absorbing. We're meant to dislike the patriarch, the Rev. Sabre Winfrey, whom Priscilla pegs as an unfaithful, violent tyrant. But I harbored hopes of seeing this apparently industrious, charismatic man in action, of encountering the type of character seen in the work of, say, Flannery O'Connor: a figure you dislike but whose vibrancy and particularity enliven the narrative. 6 Shows You'd Probably Forgotten Love Is Blind UK Host Emma Willis Once Fronted
Emma Willis has now been a staple on British TV for more than 20 years. The Birmingham-born presenter was previously best known for hosting shows like Big Brother, The Voice and The Circle – until she and her husband Matt Willis began fronting Netflix's UK iteration of Love Is Blind, that is. While you've probably watched her on some of the UK's biggest reality shows over the years (not to mention This Morning, where she's become a regular face), there are plenty of other presenting gigs throughout her extensive resume you might have completely forgotten about. Here are the ones we dug through the archives to find, in honour of Love Is Blind UK's second season... The Hot Desk (2008-2014) Emma got her start on music TV in the early 2000s, presenting segments for MTV as well as the UK version of the iconic TRL. In, Emma joined another British music show called The Hot Desk, whose other hosts included the likes of All Saints' Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt, Laura Whitmore, Sarah Jane Crawford and Alice Levine. At the end of each interview, they'd asked the featured celebrity to sign the 'Hot Desk' with a pen (isn't that just oh-so 2010s?). One of Emma's biggest interviews was with a young and bright-eyed One Direction in 2011, a year after they came third on The X Factor. Live From Studio Five (2010) In the heyday of gossip mags and celebrity interview panels, there were plenty of shows out there like Live From Studio Five. Emma joined a line-up of co-presenters – including Brian Dowling and Ian Wright – who would conduct interviews and discuss topical issues, celebrity gossip and big news stories. However it didn't do too well with ratings, and ultimately came off the air after around a year and a half. Girlfri3nds (2012) Even as far back as 2012, Emma was clearly discovering that she had a bit of a knack when it came to reality TV. She presented two seasons of this British show about single women looking for love. The format saw three single women search for their ideal guy out of 100 auditioning men. It sounds like this was good practice for when she'd get the call from Love Is Blind all these years later. Prize Island (2013) Emma co-presented this sunny series alongside Alexander Armstrong back in 2013. Prize Island placed four pairs on an Island (obv) off the coast of Mozambique, with each team participating in rounds of games to uncover prizes, ranging from a TV to a luxury holiday. At the time, there were reports that it might not air at all,after it looked set to rival (ironically) The Voice. The show ultimately only last six episodes across one season. The Brit Awards (2017) Do you remember that time Emma hosted a whole Brit Awards? Honestly, we'd kind of forgotten too. Back in 2017 she took to the stage for the UK's biggest night in music alongside co-host Dermot O'Leary. Dermot and Emma were brought in as somewhat last-minute replacements when the night's original host, Michael Bublé, was forced to back out due to his son's illness. That year's Brits saw One Direction, Little Mix, The 1975 and more take home awards. Emma Willis: Delivering Babies (2019) This one marked a huge change for the presenter as she swapped reality TV and game shows for a hospital maternity unit. Across the course of four seasons, she worked on a labour ward working NHS hours while training to be a maternity care assistant. Whether she was making beds, cleaning floors or offering support during births, it made for pretty emotional viewing.
