Group of boys, ages 14 and 15, assaulted and stabbed man in Riverdale, police say
Toronto police are searching for a group of 14- and 15-year-old boys who allegedly stabbed a man in his 20s at a park in Riverdale early Saturday morning.
Police said they got a stabbing call around 12:47 a.m. at Withrow Park near Carlaw and Bain avenues.
A group of teenagers setting off fireworks in the area got into a verbal altercation with a man, police said.
The group allegedly assaulted and stabbed the man before running north towards Danforth Avenue.
Meanwhile, the victim was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Police told CP24 that there were at least four teens involved who were last seen wearing all dark clothing and face masks.

Man critically injured after falling into traffic during ‘disturbance' in Hamilton
A man in his 30s is in critical condition after he reportedly fell into the path of an oncoming vehicle during a 'disturbance' Sunday evening in Hamilton. In a news release, officials say crews were called to the area of Barton Street East and Balsam Street North shortly after 6:00 p.m. for reports that a pedestrian had 'fallen into the curb lane' and was struck by a vehicle. The man was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say he remains in critical condition. Police didn't say how the man fell into the live lane of traffic or if the vehicle that struck him remained at the scene. The Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation. The curb lane of Barton Street East remains closed between Leinster Avenue North and Connaught Avenue North as officers continue to work at the scene. The City of Ottawa has confirmed that the man accused of vandalizing the National Holocaust Memorial with red paint earlier this month has been fired.
