Amanda Holden's parents have listed a stunning property on Rightmove amidst plans to downsize completely. The four-bedroom home is in 'easy reach' of North Cornwall's coastline and picturesque spots like Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor.
Sellers on Rightmove describe the property as a 'true rural gem' with a wealth of historic features, fireplaces and stunning timber floors. "Tucked away in a tranquil setting with breathtaking countryside and coastal views, this charming Grade II listed detached Cornish cottage, believed to have built around the turn of the 18th century, is a true rural gem," the listing reads.
"With a distinctive thatched roof and a wealth of historic character features—exposed beams, fireplaces and timber floors." Amanda, 54, also posted a Fine & Country promotional video of the thatched home on Instagram.
The footage shows beautiful panoramic shots of the property in Hersham, Bude, while an estate agent delves further into its remarkable history. "I have a real treat for you today, I'm looking forward to showing you the video of this beautiful Grade II listed cottage behind me called Hersham Carpentry," they said.
"It's where all the hand carts were made in the area back in the day." The thatched-roof detached property boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two receptions and one kitchen/breakfast area.
There are also three annexes on site, with an 'established history' of holiday letting income over more than 10 years. Two are single-storey, while the third is on two floors and offers a living room, kitchen, and conservatory.
Besides this, prospective buyers may enjoy the 'sweeping cottage gardens' with patios and 'three panoramic view points offering sea views'. Rightmove also notes an impressive driveway, with enough room for roughly eight vehicles.
Commenting on the advert, Amanda's family have reportedly said: "We are sad to leave this lovely home we have lived in for over 22 years. We will miss the early morning bird song and the gorgeous vistas and spectacular sunsets from different viewpoints throughout our gardens.
"We have had many wonderful memories of barbecues in the garden with family and friends. Unfortunately age has caught up with us and begrudgingly we feel the time has come to downsize and be nearer to family.
"We will miss our wonderful house and all our neighbours (95% of which are still here). It is so peaceful and quiet and very private and although in a country lane only five mins car ride away from amenities and the wonderful sandy beaches."
The picturesque property is located in Hersham, a hamlet south of Kilkhampton in Cornwall. It's just under two miles from the historic village of Statton, which is home to a medical centre, various local pubs, a post office and a seven-day-a-week shop.
The coastal town of Bude is also only a short distance away. Here, visitors can enjoy a wealth of charming cliff walks and sandy beaches.

'As everyone in that room was aware, the Data Bill is currently looming over our industries and the future livelihood of all artists. It is an existential issue. 'Earlier this evening, the Government was defeated for an unprecedented fifth time by the House of Lords who have backed the crucial amendment to the Bill. 'I am now calling on the Government to do the right thing and get transparency added to the Bill. 'Administration of copyright must be transparent. And it must have an artist's full permission. To this list should be added a video of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex twerking. For some unfathomable reason, Meghan and Harry decided to mark their daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday by posting a video on Instagram that featured the heavily pregnant expectant mother gyrating wildly in a hospital room to a song called 'Baby Mama', in apparent recreation of a (checks notes) TikTok trend. I assumed at first that it was an AI-created spoof, and that litigation from this never knowingly under-lawyered couple would be coming soon. But no. It appeared on Meghan's Instagram, with the caption that: Both of our children were a week past their due dates…so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn't work – there was only one thing left to do! Clearly. Yet even leaving aside the cringeworthiness of the video (in which, perhaps as a reflection of their marriage in miniature, Harry has a walk-on part but Meghan remains the main attraction), it is yet another example of Sussex hypocrisy at its most naked.
