PRISCILLA Pointer, the Dallas and Carrie actress, has died "peacefully in her sleep" aged 100 - as family pay touching tribute.
The actress died on Monday, 28 April at an assisted living facility in Ridgefield, Connecticut, her son has confirmed.

She famously starred as Amy Irving's mother in the Brian De Palma horror Carrie then appeared with her daughter in six other movies.
In a touching post on Instagram, the news of her death was revealed by her daughter to devastated fans.
The post said: "Priscilla Pointer, acclaimed stage television and film actress, and mother of David, Katie, and Amy Irving, died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 100, hopefully to run off with her 2 adoring husbands and her many dogs.
"She most definitely will be missed."
Fans of the actress have responded in swathes, paying tribute to the "much loved" actor who "graced" films with her "wonderful talent".
One user said: "So sad to hear. She will be remembered and missed — and live on in all the films she graced with her wonderful talents."
Whilst another added: "I remember her grace and loveliness. May her memory be a blessing always in your heart."
Others shared memories of their time watching the actress in movies with one fan saying: " I remember your amazingly talented mother from several films from my childhood."
She was born in New York in 1924 to parents who were artists and began her career in the late 1940s, starring in productions such as a Streetcar Named Desire.
After taking a break from acting, she returned with a bang in the late 70s portraying Diane Keaton's mom in Looking for Mr. Goodbar.
She later took on more motherly roles in The Falcon and the Snowman and later, in Blue Velvet.
Additionally, she starred in the CBS soap opera Dallas as the mom of Victoria Principal's character.
The actress also did a stint on Broadway with the Repertory Theater of Lincoln Center under the direction of her first husband Jules Irving and appeared in three films directed by her son.
These included Rumpelstiltskin, Good-bye, Cruel World, and C.H.U.D. II: Bud the C.H.U.D.
After Jules died in 1979, Priscilla married Robert Symonds, a fellow actor.
Her stint on the popular show Dallas ended in 1983, when her character tragically died in an aeroplane crash.
Cold Case in 2006 was her last TV appearance while her final film role was in The Rage: Carrie 2 in 1999.
She leaves behind her three children David, Katie and Amy Irving.

EnergyTown is funded by Norwegian energy giant Equinor. Aimed at children aged nine to 14, it comes with free educational resources to be used in lessons. It allows them to build and power a city that will survive until the year 2050 - while juggling factors like their 'green score', community happiness, and finances. The game also holds a schools competition with a £1,000 cash prize, with this year's event set to close on Friday (June 6). But Greenpeace accuses it of being an attempt to 'brainwash schoolchildren'. The game suggests that oil can be part of a green energy mix, and in an online help page - titled 'how to improve your score in EnergyTown - on the game's Equinor-funded host site, it warns young players that renewable energy is 'less reliable'. Equinor is also the majority owner of the controversial Rosebank oil and gas field development, 80 miles west of Shetland, which is thought to be the largest untapped oilfield in UK waters. In January this year, its consent was quashed by the Scottish Court of Session as unlawful, the BBC reports, meaning its owners must seek fresh approval from the UK Government before they begin extracting oil. The bitter irony is that while fossil fuels may help build a 'sustainable' energy future in the game's fictional world, they're driving more devastating floods in some of these schoolkids' communities,' she continued. 'For that reason alone, this cynical PR ploy is doomed to fail. We know many young children know a lot about the climate crisis and what's driving it. If Equinor wants to win young hearts and minds, it should get serious about ditching fossil fuels and shifting to clean energy.' The game had been developed using data from the International Energy Agency (IEA), which verified the scenarios used in EnergyTown to 'ensure they are realistic and representative of the UK's current energy system'. The game was designed to reflect this complexity and showed that the energy transition was about balance, he added, requiring a mix of sources over time. 'The IEA forecast that fossil fuels may be required in 2050 especially in areas where renewables alone can't meet demand. EnergyTown is not about endorsing any one solution, rather it's about equipping the next generation with knowledge to make better decisions.' Recovery time varies, but most people return to normal activities within two to four weeks. MUM'S FACE LIFT Katherine previously revealed that she paid '50 grand' for her mum to have a face lift. Speaking on Vogue Williams' Never Live It Down podcast, the actress explained that her mum Julie was 63 at the time and added that it was a 'good age to get a face lift.'
