Al-Falah MADANI Forum To Be Expanded Nationwide - Mohd Na'im
He said the forum brings together heads of religious agencies on a single platform to present strategic views on the future of the ummah, while also strengthening ties between religious institutions and the people.
'In view of the forum's significant and encouraging impact, I propose that the al-Falah MADANI Forum be made a regular programme to be held in strategic locations nationwide.
'The heads of agencies can take turns to deliver their messages and ideas based on the Islamic Affairs Transformation framework,' he said in his speech at the Religious Affairs Agencies Assembly here today.
Mohd Na'im said the forum also helps improve public understanding of various current issues, clears up confusion, and brings the people closer to the top leadership of religious agencies.
Meanwhile, in support of the government's national agenda to ease the people's burden amid socio-economic challenges, he proposed that all Islamic Affairs agencies under the Prime Minister's Department collaborate to implement a joint initiative called 'Santuni al-Falah MADANI: Agenda Kesejahteraan Sosial Ummah'.
Mohd Na'im said the Santuni al-Falah MADANI programme will be led by the Islamic Economic Development Foundation of Malaysia (YaPEIM), which will also act as the main coordinator.
'We already have programmes such as visits to asnaf groups and aid distribution, but coordination has been somewhat lacking. With the Santuni al-Falah MADANI programme, it will be more structured and better aligned
'Coordination is crucial to ensure all forms of aid provided benefit the asnaf group optimally and to avoid overlapping programmes run by different agencies,' he said.

Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the government will not compromise on the matter and continues to uphold halal standards that adhere to Syariah law in order to safeguard the interests of Muslim consumers in Malaysia. "The facilitation being offered here only relates to the monitoring and verification carried out by US halal certification bodies recognised by Jakim," he said during a briefing in the Dewan Rakyat today regarding the trade negotiations with the US. He also stressed that claims that Malaysia will just immediately recognise US halal certificates is baseless, misleading and malicious, and do not reflect the actual facts agreed on in the negotiations. He noted that it was agreed during the negotiations to facilitate the process of certification and registration of facilities for the export of dairy, meat and meat products, as well as poultry and poultry products from the US to Malaysia based on domestic regulations that have been established. PASIR GUDANG – Young voters are expected to play a key role in determining the outcome of the 16th General Election (GE16), as they make up about 40 per cent of the total electorate in the country. Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said the figure highlighted the urgent need for more strategic and relevant approaches to engage this demographic. 'We need to engage with this group in the right way. They're not like before. Many are highly educated, some have PhD, master's degree, or bachelor's degree and their way of assessing candidates is very different. 'Young people in Kuala Lumpur are not the same as those in Kedah or Johor Bahru. We can't use a one-size-fits-all approach. Their thinking is dynamic and critical,' he said.
