Author reveals the amount Gwyneth Paltrow may have got for Astronomer ad after the viral kiss-cam saga
The actress's unauthorized biographer Amy Odell weighed in on how much the Goop founder could have earned for the publicity stunt.
Amy, whose book Gwyneth: The Biography scheduled for stores on July 29, used Instagram on Saturday to speculate on the star's payout, based on what she's pocketed from past partnerships.
In a video, Amy said: 'I just wrote a book about Gwyneth Paltrow. I have exclusive information about what she's earned from past endorsement deals.'
The writer noted that Gwyneth made a cameo 'at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia for a total of $1.6million', and 'attended a launch party for SKIMS in late 2023 to promote the brand's Swarovski collaboration for $250,000'.
Amy said: 'Gwyneth had a bigger deal with Swarovski where she would earn $1.25million in exchange for wearing [the brand] a certain number of times. She also received millions for endorsing other brands, like Copper Fit.'
Regarding the Astronomer stint, the biographer teased in her Instagram reel: 'What do you think Gwyneth earned for this? My guess as her biographer is: a LOT.
'Get my Gwyneth book at the link in bio.'
Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron was caught canoodling with his company's Head of Human Resources Kristin Cabot at the Coldplay event on July 16, and the kiss-cam caused a social media frenzy due to their embarrassed reaction.
At the time during his band's concert, Chris Martin called out the couple as either 'having an affair' or being 'very shy'.
Both Kristin and Andy quit their jobs as a result of the scandal.

Gwyneth's involvement on Astronomer's LinkedIn page and other platforms served as a hilarious PR-crisis move by the company.
The actress was seen on screen in a blue shirt as corporate music played in the background, and she said: 'Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow.
'I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300-plus employees at Astronomer.
'Astronomer has got a lot of questions in the last few days, and they wanted me to answer the most common ones.'

'Q: How is your social media team holding...' the next query began, before the screen panned back to Gwyneth, who offered another comedic response.
She said: 'Yes! There is still space available at our Beyond Analytics event this September!

Later in life, Guthrie wrote a song calling out Donald Trump's father, Fred Trump, for 'racial hate,' over the real estate developer's alleged history of racial discrimination towards potential tenants. The concern over DHS's use of Guthrie's music mirrors the response from artists and their families who have seen their paintings used in DHS social media efforts. As The Independent has reported, the agency has used nostalgic images of the Western frontier and small-town, midcentury America in between touting its military-style immigration raids, a combination one observer said was 'classic fascist propaganda.' Superman actor Dean Cain reveals shock decision to join ICE 'to help save America'
Dean Cain, who played Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman from 1993 to 1997, announced that he has joined U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to support recruitment efforts. In a video posted to social media, Cain said: 'I am a sworn law enforcement officer, as well as being a filmmaker, and I felt it was important to join with our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it. So I joined up.' He encouraged others to apply for ICE positions, citing a $50,000 signing bonus, student loan repayment, and enhanced retirement benefits for those in law enforcement roles. 'If you want to help save America, ICE is arresting the worst of the worst and removing them from America's streets,' Cain said. 'They need your help, we need your help, to protect our homeland for families. 'Join today if it's something that tickles your fancy because we can use you.'
