Saudi NWC starts work on nine water projects in Tabuk

The National Water Company's (NWC) Northwest Cluster has announced that it has started work on nine water and sanitation projects in Tabuk region at a cost of SAR300 million ($80 million) to increase the percentage of service coverage, raise operational efficiency, and upgrade customer service.
The company said of these, three are linked to drinking water projects in the districts of Rayes, Al Nazeem and Tabuk South.
This is done through the construction and completion of water networks, main lines and water site works, with a total length of more than 60km, at a cost exceeding SAR62.2 million.
NWC said it has started the implementation of two sanitation projects in Tabuk at a cost of SAR65 million.
The first project comprises the expansion of the main lift station in Tabuk by increasing the efficiency of the existing station's capacity through the installation of four pumps with a capacity of 90,000 cubic meters per day instead of the previous capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day.
The other project consists of implementing main lines and sewerage networks with lengths of 46.7 km to increase the coverage rate of sewage services in Shafa and Yarmouk districts.
According to NWC, it has also initiated the implementation of two water projects: one in Haql Governorate, which includes the implementation of the transmission line with a total length of 21.9km, the construction of an operational reservoir with a capacity of 5,000 cu m and a pumping station with a capacity of 5,000 cu m per day, at a total cost of SAR51.4 million; and the second in Qulaybah Center, which establishes a drinking water purification plant with a capacity of 1,000 cu m/per day at a cost of SAR39.4 million.
In addition to these, NWC is laying the main and feeder sewage lines and networks of different diameters in the districts of Al Rahmaniya and Al Shafa in Tayma Governorate with a length of 43.3km.
The other project includes the implementation of sewage networks and main lines with a length of 32.5 kilometers to serve the districts of Al Rayyan, Al Sabkha, Al-Yarmouk, West of Al-Dhahra in Haql Governorate, in addition to the construction of a lift station with a capacity of 9,600 cubic meters per day.

According to a press release issued by Mawani, the agreement was signed by Acting President of the Saudi Ports Authority Mazen bin Ahmed Al-Turki and Managing Director of Abdullatif Alissa Group Holding Abdullah Abdulmohsen Alissa, said a Saudi Press Agency report. The establishment of the logistics park is part of Mawani's initiatives aligned with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy. It aims to create high-efficiency logistics parks within and beyond the ports, supporting national development and empowering the Kingdom's economic and social ambitions under Saudi Vision 2030. The logistics park will include a 7,000-sq-m warehouse for spare parts storage and a logistics area capable of accommodating more than 13,000 vehicles and trucks. This initiative will enhance the competitive advantage and regional standing of King Abdulaziz Port as a logistics hub, provide specialised logistics services, increase private sector contributions to economic development, and promote economic diversification. King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam plays a pivotal role in connecting the Kingdom to global economies. The port is distinguished by its advanced infrastructure and integrated logistics facilities, making it an attractive destination for major international companies.

Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) has announced that it has completed major water infrastructure projects in Jeddah that will cater to residents of key districts of Al Yaqout, Al Zomorrod, and Al Luluoa. The projects, which have been implemented at a total cost of over SAR400 million ($107 million), are part of NWC's development initiatives to bolster water system infrastructure, expand service coverage, and enhance service levels in the governorate. NWC said under this, it has installed water pipelines and 320-km long networks, it stated. These projects will provide water to over 250,000 beneficiaries, which NWC emphasised will significantly improve service quality and increase water network coverage in the beneficiary districts.-

Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC), through its Central Cluster, has announced that it has begun work on 30 new water and sanitary drainage projects in Riyadh region. These projects, which involve a total length of lines and networks of 1,955 km, is being implemented at a total cost of SAR2 billion ($533 million). These projects are part of NWC's ongoing efforts to implement its strategic plans to develop water and environmental services infrastructure and increase service coverage for its customers. According to NWC, the water projects it has begun implementing comprise 16 projects in Riyadh city and several governorates. These projects cover parts of the following districts in Riyadh; Al-Taawun, Al-Janadiriyah and Leban, Al-Diriyah, Dirab; and parts of Al-Quwaiyah, Afif, Al-Dawadmi, Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Reen, Al-Kharj, Hawtat Bani Tamim, Al-Hariq, Al-Majmaah, Al-Zulfi, and Thadiq governorates, as well as Al-Ayinah and Al-Jubaila centers, said NWC in a statement. The projects include line and network lengths exceeding 1,192 km, the construction of 18 water reservoirs with a total capacity of nearly 85,000 cu m and pumping stations with a daily volume of over 247,000 cu m at a total cost of over SAR1 billion. Work has also begun on another 14 sewerage projects within Riyadh Region, encompassing Riyadh city and several governorates.
