NWC Collaborates with upsource by solutions to Elevate Water Distribution Sector
The National Water Company (NWC) has signed a strategic agreement with upsource by solutions to elevate customer experience management services in Saudi Arabia's water distribution sector, according to the Saudi Press Agency. Being a subsidiary of solutions by stc and a pioneering provider of business process outsourcing services, upsource by solutions will provide NWC with voice interaction services and manage the unified call center for customers. Through a vast array of advanced technological solutions, upsource by solutions will also offer customers prompt and effective support to enhance their experiences. Importantly, the SAR94 million agreement marks the beginning of wider cooperation between both entities that will involve a full range of customer interaction channels. Commenting on the new deal, NWC noted that the current cooperation stands as a testament to upsource by solutions' dedication to supporting the Kingdom's vital sectors, especially the public utilities sector. Furthermore, it boosts the company's strategy to expand its service portfolio and foster its presence in the Saudi business market. In line with national digital transformation objectives and Saudi Vision 2030, NWC has stressed its commitment to achieving the highest levels of operational efficiency. Saudi Arabia's NWC to award Al Majmaah Sewage Plant Expansion contract in Q2 2025
Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) is expected to award the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the expansion of the Al Majmaah Sewage Treatment Plant in in Al Majmaah in the second quarter, a source aware of the details said. The tender was issued on 19 March 2025 with bid submissions closing on 24 April 2025. The project, located in Al Majmaah Governorate, involves the expansion of an existing sewage treatment facility 'The contract is expected to be awarded in June 2025,' the source told Zawya Projects, adding that the project is scheduled to be completed by December 2027. Saudi Arabia's NWC to award Hajar Sewage Networks EPC contract in June
Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) is expected to award the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the first phase of Hajar Sewage Networks Project in Al-Ahsa Governorate in the second quarter of 2025, according to a source. The tender was issued on 20 March 2025, with bids submitted by 13 April 2025. 'The EPC contract is expected to be awarded in June 2025,' the source said, adding that project is scheduled to be delivered in 36 months from the award date. The scope of the project includes the implementation of sewage networks for the Hajar suburb, along with associated earthworks, roof restoration, and utility works. Alfadley announces ministry's full readiness to ensure environmentally safe Hajj
Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfadley announced on Wednesday the complete readiness and high level of coordination among all sectors within the ministry in preparation for the Hajj season of 2025. The ministry's ongoing efforts aimed to ensure environmentally safe Hajj with provision of the best environmental, water, agricultural, and health services to Hajj pilgrims, in line with Saudi Vision 2030. Alfadley made these remarks during his inspection tour of the holy sites and chairing a meeting at the headquarters of the National Water Company. He reviewed the completion of the operational plans in accordance with the highest efficiency standards. As part of the comprehensive national efforts to make the Hajj season a success, the operational system includes quality projects and programs to ensure the availability of water supplies, food safety, air quality, waste handling, environmental compliance monitoring, and pest control. The minister checked the preparations of the ministry's branches in Makkah and Madinah to supervise and control private slaughterhouses and public benefit markets. He reviewed efforts of emergency rooms and the situation of logistical services provided by professionals at the two branches. Alfadley listened to details of the environmental system's plans to enhance food security during the Hajj season. The General Food Security Authority (GFSA) confirmed the abundance of flour stocks in Makkah and Madinah, in addition to the existence of reserve stocks of wheat throughout the Kingdom, amounting to more than one million tons. Water supply for pilgrims was high on the agenda during the meeting. The minister inspected the readiness of projects and operational plans for water services for all sectors, including production, transportation, storage, distribution, and irrigation. Such integrated efforts aim at securing water supply for pilgrims and improving the quality of services provided to them. Alfadley emphasized intensifying efforts and harnessing all resources to implement the directives of the Kingdom's leadership to provide the best services to the pilgrims so as to enable them to perform Hajj rituals in ease and comfort.

Contract award for Saudi water network expansion likely in Q2 2025
Saudi Arabia's National Water Company (NWC) is expected to award the contract for the Ranyah Governorate Water Distribution System Expansion Project in Najd second quarter, a source aware of the details told Zawya Projects. The Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) tender was issued on 20 March 2025, with bid submissions closing on 20 April. "Contract award is anticipated in June 2025, with project completion targeted for December 2026,' the source said. The project involves expanding the existing water distribution infrastructure through the construction of overhead tanks, main distribution lines, and a new network of pipelines. The system will use high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes ranging from 110 mm to 500 mm in diameter, covering a total length of approximately 158.5 km.
