Willie le Roux becomes the eighth centurion for the Springboks as the full-back wins cap number 100 for South Africa in a side containing plenty of experience. There is still no Siya Kolisi, though, with Salmaan Moerat skippering from the second row. Andre Esterhuizen and Canan Moodie form a new-look centre partnership outside of Manie Libbok, stationed at fly half.
Debuts, meanwhile, await giant tighthead Asenathi Ntlabakanye, sizeable lock Cobus Wiese and comparatively compact centre Ethan Hooker off the bench.
There are five changes for Italy as Niccolo Cannone captains again following an impressive showing in Pretoria last Saturday. Full-back Mirko Belloni contrasts with his opposite number Le Roux in making his first international start on what is just his second cap, with Louis Lynagh and Jacopo Trulla comprising the rest of the back three.

Sebastian Negri is a welcome returnee on the flank in a balanced back row with Manuel Zuliani and Ross Vintcent, while there are six forwards on the bench ready to provide impact again.

"Joey's a very ambitious, confident, charismatic kind of a kid so if it was up to him, he'd want to play and play now," Day told Yahoo Sport Australia. "He feels he's ready to go and would love to get that phone call any day. "He's a high-achieving alpha dog who is ready for anything that's thrown at him. But selections are none of my business. That's a coach's decision and there is no pressure whatsoever from anyone at our end or Joey's. "Those experienced halves in front of him have been great to him and he's learning from them, and if it rolls that way and he doesn't get picked this year, that's no stress at all. He's very much a team player and will play where he gets picked." 'Nothing there for him': Panthers star on hunt for new club after contract not renewed
Penrith unsung hero Daine Laurie is on the search for his next club after reportedly being told he won't have a new contract offered by the Panthers. The versatile back is on a one-year deal for 2025, and had been hoping for a new contract for next season. But the Panthers have reportedly told him he won't have his contract renewed, leaving him on the hunt for a new club. Laurie has played 21 games for the Panthers since re-joining the club in 2024. He's spent the majority of 2025 in NSW Cup as he serves as back-up to State of Origin fullback Dylan Edwards. The 26-year-old began his career with Penrith in 2020, before a move to the Wests Tigers that saw him play 49 games for the joint-venture. He moved back to the Panthers in 2024, but is now on the outer. "He's been told by the club that there won't be a contract for him beyond this year," Michael Chammas said on Channel 9 this week. "He's off-contract at the end of the year and has been told there's nothing there for him. "It's on the back of Mavrik Geyer being told the same thing from the Panthers. They're looking to replenish some of their depth players in their squad. Most of the players off-contract won't be getting new deals." Laurie is a more-than-capable fullback who'd probably be starting at most clubs. He's been forced to bide his time behind Edwards at the Panthers, but never let the club down when asked to play first-grade. He showed how capable and versatile he is when he scored a double in the opening round against Cronulla in Las Vegas. The Panthers were reportedly interested in signing Tyrell Sloan from the Dragons, after the speedster was told he was free to negotiate with rival clubs. However Penrith recently denied interest in Sloan, who many thought would be a replacement for Laurie as Edwards' back-up. Mavrik Geyer departing Panthers but Luke Garner staying put As Chammas pointed out, Mavrik Geyer has also been told he won't have his contract renewed.
