
Officials ID victim of fatal crash on US 93
May 22—Authorities on Thursday identified the victim of a deadly May 17 crash in Lake County.
Elmo resident Sunshine Swalley, 22, was killed in the collision on U.S. 93 near Big Arm, according to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell.
According to the Highway Patrol crash report, Swalley was driving a Jeep Wrangler northbound on U.S. 93 at about 2:38 a.m. when she entered the southbound lane and collided head-on with a tanker trailer driven by a 50-year-old Kalispell man. Both vehicles caught fire and temporarily blocked the highway.
Swalley died at the scene and the tanker driver was transported to a hospital with injuries.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Montana Highway Patrol and the Lake County Coroner's Office.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, according to the Highway Patrol report.

Driver hospitalized after Sandusky County crash: OSHP
SANDUSKY TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash in Sandusky County that sent one driver to the hospital with serious injuries on Saturday afternoon. The crash happened on U.S. 20 near County Road 128 just before 1:30 p.m. According to state troopers, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2016 Honda Civic heading east on U.S. 20 moved into the right lane before going off the side of the road. One dead in motorcycle crash in Spartanburg Co.
SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office reported that one person is dead following a motorcycle crash in Inman. Authorities said they were called out to the intersection of SC Highway 11 and Cannon Ford Road regarding a motorcycle vs vehicle collision. The South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that at approximately 1:54 p.m., a 2007 Dodge Ram and 2008 Yamaha motorcycle were both traveling north on SC Highway 11. The Dodge Ram attempted to turn left onto Cannon Ford Road, and struck the motorcycle. The Ram then ran off the road and struck a ditch. The driver of the Ram was reported to be uninjured, while the driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. The coroner's office identified the deceased as 48-year-old Sidney Brian Conard of Woodruff.
