Fairphone 6 comes in three colors: Black, Forest Green and White | Image credit: Fairphone Dutch company Fairphone has just introduced its new modular smartphone, Fairphone 6. We've been talking about the device for about a week now, but if you haven't been following our news feed, the main selling point of the Fairphone 6 is how easy it is to repair and replace parts of it, either for customization or due to failing.Because this is a mid-range phone, you'd expect to be priced below the $500 / €500 price mark, but Fairphone 6 is a pretty expensive device. That's partly due to the fact that Fairphone 6 is a 'clean' device assembled in factories with fair labor conditions.
As such, Fairphone is asking €600 for the Android version and €650 for the /e/OS variant. In the US, Fairphone sells only the /e/OS model through its local partner Murena. Fairphone 6 is available for pre-order in the US for $900, but it won't ship until August. Fairphone 6 is the company's fairest phone yet

Fairphone 6 is built in a way that lets you swap 12 different parts. More importantly, users can swap the phone's parts by simply using a standard screwdriver and the videos provided by Fairphone. Parts like the battery, screen, USB ports, and individual cameras can be easily swapped in case of need. Not to mention that Fairphone offers a five-year warranty for Fairphone 6 and no less than eight years of software support (seven major Android OS upgrades guaranteed). In comparison, Google offers just 1 year of manufacturer warranty for its latest Pixel phones. At launch, three accessories can be attached to the Fairphone 6: card holder, finger loop, and card holder.
Another new feature that Fairphone 6 brings compared to its predecessors is Fairphone Moments, ' a calm, distraction-free space that's more than a focus mode .' According to Fairphone, users can create their unique Moment with five essential apps and shut out everything else. Secure your connection now at a bargain price!

Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL announced with Tensor G5, new telephoto lens and bigger batteries

Michail, 20 August 2025 A brand-new chipset, larger batteries, and a new telephoto camera. These are the key new additions to the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The pair is visually identical to their predecessors but now comes in Moonstone (blue-gray), Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white) and Jade (green) colors. Google Pixel 10 Pro 5G 128GB 16GB RAM € 1,099.00 € 1,099.00 1TB 16GB RAM £ 1,449.00 Pixel 10 Pro (Jade) and Pixel 10 Pro XL (Moonstone) Pixel 10 Pro is equipped with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, while Pixel 10 Pro XL gets a 6.8-inch diagonal. Pixel 10 Pro gets a 1,280 x 2,856px resolution while the 10 Pro XL comes with a 1,344 x 2,992px resolution. Both panels also offer a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The maximum local screen brightness is 3,300 nits, and you also get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. You also get a 42MP selfie cam and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen. Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL The more important new addition is the Tensor G5 chipset. It's the first Google chipset fabbed by TSMC (instead of Samsung), and it claims to bring improved efficiency that should finally see Pixels on an even playing field with the Snapdragon flagship Android crowd. Tensor G5 features an updated CPU, which is 34% faster than the Tensor G4, while AI tasks should run 60% faster. The new chip is also the first to run Google's newest Gemini Nano model, and it is paired with the Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel 10 Pro series comes with 16GB RAM as standard. But Pixels are known for their cameras and the new Pixel 10 Pro series is offering some iterative updates. The 50MP main (1/1.3" sensor) and 48MP ultrawide (1/2.55" sensor) modules from last year are here again and they are joined by an all-new 48MP telephoto (1/2.55") lens. The new telephoto offers 5x optical zoom and up to 100x hybrid zoom. You can also record videos at up to 8K resolution and 30fps. Pixel 10 Pro features a 4,870 mAh battery with 30W charging, while the 10 Pro XL boasts a 5,200 mAh cell with 45W speeds. But that's not all, the new Pixel also supports Qi 2 wireless charging with 15W speeds on the Pixel 10 Pro and 25W on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. That's all, thanks to Pixelsnap, which is Google's take on MagSafe. On the software side, the Pixel 10 series comes with Android 16 and Google's new Material 3 Expressive UI. That's backed by 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Google Pixel 10 Pro XL 5G 256GB 16GB RAM £ 1,199.00 £ 1,199.00 512GB 16GB RAM £ 1,319.00 Both new Pixels are IP68 rated, and come with Wi-Fi 7, Ultra-Wideband and Bluetooth 6 connectivity. Pixel 10 Pro with 128GB storage starts at $999/€1,099/£999/₹109,999. Pixel 10 Pro XL with 256GB will start at $1,199/€1,299/£1,199/₹124,999. Pre-orders start today with deliveries scheduled for August 28.

Game over: Insane new deal makes the Motorola Razr+ (2024) the best foldable you can buy right now

In theory, Samsung and Motorola are fighting a fierce battle right now for the title of best foldable phone available in the US, and Google is not far behind with its cheaper-and-cheaper Pixel 9 Pro Fold and imminent Pixel 10 Pro Fold. But in reality, it's hard to even consider buying anything else than a Motorola Razr+ (2024) today, especially if you already prefer clamshell designs over book-style foldables. Naturally, this device is not quite as powerful or as sophisticated as a Razr+ (2025) or Razr Ultra (2025)... which is why it can be had at a significantly lower price. $550 off (55%) 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Processor, 6.9-Inch Main Foldable LTPO AMOLED Display with 2640 x 1080 Pixel Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate Technology, 4-Inch Secondary LTPO AMOLED Screen with 1272 x 1080 Pixel Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate Support, 50 + 50MP Dual Rear-Facing Camera System, 32MP Front-Facing Camera, 4,000mAh Battery with 45W Charging Capabilities, Three Color Options, New, 90-Day Warranty Included Buy at Woot 5G, Unlocked, 256GB Storage, 12GB RAM, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Processor, 6.9-Inch Main Foldable LTPO AMOLED Display with 2640 x 1080 Pixel Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate Technology, 4-Inch Secondary LTPO AMOLED Screen with 1272 x 1080 Pixel Resolution and 165Hz Refresh Rate Support, 50 + 50MP Dual Rear-Facing Camera System, 32MP Front-Facing Camera, 4,000mAh Battery with 45W Charging Capabilities, Three Color Options Buy at Amazon If you hurry, that price can be as low as $449.99, which obviously compares incredibly favorably to the $999.99 you normally have to pay for the aforementioned Razr Plus (2025). The Razr Plus (2024) was also originally priced at $999.99, and while cash-strapped flip phone buyers have been offered many opportunities in recent months to save hundreds of dollars without jumping through any hoops, today's $550 discount is truly unprecedented and presumably totally unbeatable. Although you need to settle for a 90-day warranty to reduce your Razr+ (2024) spending to a minimum for the next three days (or while supplies last), the ultra-affordable units available at Woot are brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged. On top of that, you can even choose from three different colorways (at least if you're quick), so there's absolutely no reason to snub the Amazon-owned e-tailer in favor of a direct purchase at $250 more. That's a lot of (primary) screen real estate for such an affordable foldable. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena It's difficult to imagine any other foldable could offer a similar feature set (let alone a better one) than the Motorola Razr Plus (2024) at $449.99. Just look at how much costlier Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, and even Z Flip 6 are without providing enough major advantages and upgrades. The Razr+ (2024), mind you, impressively matches the 6.9-inch size of the Z Flip 7 's primary display while also sporting a remarkably large 4-inch secondary screen, a fittingly hefty 4,000mAh battery, reasonably powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, blazing fast 45W charging technology, excellent 50MP dual rear-facing camera system, and generous 12GB RAM count. Now, we all know the perfect foldable device doesn't exist, but this might just be a virtually flawless budget foldable. Good news everyone! Over the past year we've been working on an exciting passion project of ours and we're thrilled to announce it will be ready to release in just a few short months.
