Exynos 2600 could fix Samsung's biggest chip problem
However, a new report from South Korea indicates that Samsung is trying new technologies to work on its upcoming in-house chips and to improve heat management. The Exynos 2600 processor, which is expected to be used in some Galaxy S26 versions, reportedly sports a newer thermal management tech. Samsung is said to use a new chip packaging technology, which should improve the performance of the Exynos 2600 chip. The company may reportedly use Heat Pass Block (otherwise known as HPB), a way of inserting heat-dissipating materials inside the semiconductor chip package.
The Exynos 2600 is said to be a 2nm chip designed by Samsung and fabricated using Samsung Foundry. It would be the first chip by the company to use HPB. HPB is a copper-based heat sink that is placed on top of the application processor and DRAM component.

Samsung is expected to finish testing the Exynos 2600 by October of this year. If it gets favorable results, the mass production of the processor will soon follow, with the intention of it to power some of the Galaxy S26 phones, expected for an early 2026 launch.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra may be the only phone sporting exclusively the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2, which is a processor made by Qualcomm. In the past few years, Samsung has been trying new chip packaging methods for Exynos chips, looking for a way to improve their performance and have them more on par with Qualcomm's counterparts. For example, the Exynos 2400 used the Fan-Out Wafer Level Packaging (FOWLP) technology, which had both the input and output terminals outside the semiconductor chip, which offered better heat dissipation. The Exynos 2600 is also said to use FOWLP.
I personally think this is a smart move by Samsung. If they can really improve heat management and efficiency, that could make Exynos chips much more competitive. A cooler phone means better performance and longer battery life – things everyone wants. It's good to see Samsung learning from past mistakes and trying new tech like HPB and FOWLP. If testing goes well, the Galaxy S26 with the Exynos 2600 might surprise us in a good way.

And as one of PhoneAren's elite deal hunters, I'm constantly on the lookout for generous offers on various Samsung devices, as I believe they are absolutely worth getting, especially the high-end models. For instance, yesterday I found not one, not two, but three unmissable deals on Galaxy devices, including a hefty 53% discount on the Galaxy Buds FE and savings of up to $650 on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra. I've left the corresponding links below the product box in case you want to check them out as well. $171 off (15%) Amazon is offering a sweet $171 discount on the 512GB Galaxy S25+ with 512GB of storage in Silver. This lets you get a unit for just under $950. I believe the phone is worth getting, especially if you want a powerful handset with a larger display, but don't want to overspend on the Ultra model. So, don't miss out! Buy at Amazon Trade-in $519 99 $1119 99 $600 off (54%) Right now, Samsung is offering a $120 discount on the 512GB version of the Galaxy S25+. In addition, you can score up to an extra $480 off with a trade-in. This is a great deal if you have an old device that you don't need anymore. So, act fast and save! Buy at Samsung Also Read: Today, though, I found a really sweet deal on not just any Galaxy phone , but a handset that I think is an absolute bargain. For me, it's the perfect choice if you want a device with a larger display and immense performance, but don't want to walk around with a full-blown brick that barely fits in your pocket. The phone in question is the 512GB Galaxy S25+ in Silver, which is currently on sale for $171 off its price on Amazon. That lets you score one for just under $950. And if you have an old phone you can part with, I suggest checking out Samsung's offer too. You can save $120 on the 512GB model without a trade-in and up to an additional $480 with one. Whichever offer you choose to take advantage of, I believe you won't regret buying the Galaxy S25+ . We reviewed the phone when it came out, and I must confess that my belief that the Galaxy S25+ is the perfect choice if you don't want to overspend on the Ultra has only become firmer. Just like the top-of-the-line model, our friend here rocks a high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 12GB of RAM, allowing it to handle any task with ease. And if you like to watch YouTube videos on your phone, you'll fall in love with the 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on board with a 3120 x 1440 resolution and HDR support. Since it's a high-end Samsung phone, it also boasts impressive cameras, with the main 50MP lens capable of capturing stunning photos and recording in 8K. I'd say it's a great choice for anyone who loves preserving every moment in vivid detail. Honestly, I could go on and on about how awesome I think the Galaxy S25+ is. But I won't stretch this post too long. I'm pretty sure you get the point: you'll be missing out big time if you don't jump on this deal right now. My advice is to act fast and save while you still can.

Qualcomm has a new high-end chipset on the way
Qualcomm is holding its next launch event in late September, and it's expected to unveil the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 at that time. That chip has the model number SM8850, but rumors in China have been bubbling for a while regarding the SM8845 also launching this year. This won't be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 5, as it's higher-end than that, but still a step below the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. It's unclear what Qualcomm will call it, but some are assuming it will be Snapdragon 8 Plus. It's billed as pretty much on par, performance-wise, with the original Snapdragon 8 Elite from last year, as it also uses an all-big core CPU configuration with Qualcomm's custom-developed cores. Compared to the 8 Elite, it's going to be fabbed on a newer process, and will use some of the 8 Elite 2's peripherals. So, overall it should be a very slight improvement over the original 8 Elite. Prolific Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station says the SM8845 will be used by Oppo and OnePlus as well as vivo, and the phones which will be powered by it will have very large batteries, up to 8,000 mAh. It's definitely sounding like the SM8845 will become the chipset of choice for 'flagship killer' type devices, and will nicely bridge the performance gap between the 8s series and the 8 Elite lineup. Though with it being so close in parameters to the original 8 Elite, it will be interesting to see if that SoC will be discontinued or not. Source (in Chinese)

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Lite gets closer to launch
Vlad, 31 July 2025 Samsung is working on three new tablets at the moment - the high-end Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra, as well as the more affordable Galaxy Tab S10 Lite. This has now been spotted in the Bluetooth SIG's database, having received the necessary certification for sale from that organization. This is a normal step on the way to launch, and it signifies that the Tab S10 Lite could be getting official soon. In fact, Samsung's been rumored to unveil it as early as next month. The tablet will be powered by the Exynos 1380 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM. It will support the S Pen and a keyboard, and is expected to sport an 8,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. It will probably run Android 15 when it launches, with One UI 7 on top. Via
