What does 'aura farming' mean?
'Aura farming' is used to describe anime characters and various celebrities, including Hollywood star Timothée Chalamet.
Popularised last year, the term refers to the act of consistently looking cool to build one's 'aura.'
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines the slang aura as 'stylishness; confident and suave excellence'. A sportsperson or performer is said to have aura when they exhibit 'exceptional talent, charisma, or other inspirational qualities'.
'On social media, one is said to gain or lose (metaphorical) aura points when doing something impressive or embarrassing, respectively,' it said.
Indonesia boy's 'aura farming' dance viral
Rayyan Arkan Dikha is making waves globally for his dance, full of swag, on the front of a boat. Dressed in all traditional black and wearing sunglasses, the viral video of the boy shows him blowing kisses to his left and right before he breaks into dance.
The boy, who hails from a village in Kuantan Singingi Regency in Indonesia's Riau province, was donning a traditional outfit known as a Teluk Belanga with a Malay Riau headcloth, as per a BBC report.
The clip that has gone viral is from the national Pacu Jalur boat race last August. The centuries-old annual festival features canoe-like boats in the competition. Dikha is the Tukang Tari, who dances on the tip of the boat to energise the rowers, as per The New York Times (NYT) report. Each boat has its own Tukang Tari.
The original video of the young boy was first posted to TikTok in January by a user named Lensa Rams. Dikha, who has been participating in the boat race since he was nine, has been dubbed 'the ultimate aura farmer' on social media.

Videos have gone viral with hashtags like 'aura farming kid on boat" and 'boat race kid aura', garnering millions of views on TikTok since late June.
'He's known as 'the reaper' because he never loses,' a top-liked comment on a clip that has over one million likes read.
'Bro taking out opps[opponents] while aura farming is crazy,' wrote another.
Athletes, sports teams copy Dikha's moves
Several social media users, including popular athletes, have been copying his moves and posting videos online.
Travis Kelce, US football player and boyfriend of pop singer Taylor Swift, compared his own moves to Dikha's in a video which has amassed over 13 million (1.3 crore) views.
American soccer player Diego Luna celebrated the US men's national soccer team's victory over Guatemala recently by imitating Dikha's moves.
On July 1, the French football club Paris Saint-Germain posted a TikTok clip trying the boat racing dance, with the caption: 'His aura made it all the way to Paris.'

Dikha becomes tourism ambassador
The global popularity that the boy has garnered has caught the attention of the Indonesian government.
'Dancing at the tip of the boat is not easy,' Indonesia's minister of culture Fadli Zon told reporters at an event to fete Dikha last week. 'Maintaining balance as a dancer who motivates the Pacu Jalur rowing team is truly not simple. Perhaps that's why children are chosen instead of adults - because it's easier for them to keep balance.'
The governor of Riau has named Dika as a tourism ambassador for the province, citing that he had been 'inspiring local kids to embrace and preserve their traditions'.
The boy has been awarded a scholarship of 20 million rupiah (around Rs 1.06 lakh) for his education. Dikha also performed a rendition of his dance with Governor Abdul Wahid and other officials.
'Wow, I'm so happy,' Dikha said in Indonesian about the scholarship. 'I never imagined I'd meet the governor.'
Speaking to BBC Indonesia, he said the moves came to him out of the blue. 'I came up with the dance myself,' he said, adding: 'It was just spontaneous.'

All eyes will be on Dikha, who will perform in the boat race next month, with the local government confirming his participation.

Jurassic World Rebirth, F1 and Pune Highway

You ever notice how human nature is basically one big dare? We build things we can't control, chase what we don't understand, trust people we probably shouldn't… And when it all blows up, we look around like, 'Wow. Who could've seen that coming?' Everyone. Literally, everyone. This week, we're diving into human nature. Messing with Nature. Man versus Nature When American filmmaker Steven Spielberg picked up Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park, he didn't just bring back dinosaurs, he revived the ultimate 'what if': What if they came back… and we were dumb enough to invite them? His love for spectacle finally met tech that could dream as big as he did. Two trilogies. Three decades. And now: Jurassic World Rebirth. At its core, the franchise reminds us every few years how small we are in the grand scheme of things. And Gareth Edwards' Rebirth says it again: We don't matter. But we do mess with Nature. And one day, as American actor and musician Jeff Goldblum warned, 'It will shake us off like a summer cold.' The original trilogy already made that point. Then came director Colin Trevorrow rebooting it for Gen TikTok. To be fair, Jurassic World gave us visuals and some dumb fun. And actor Chris Pratt, budget Indiana Jones, could stare down a raptor and go, 'Hey buddy… chill.' The second trilogy stumbled, but Rebirth isn't building a new arc. It's a one-and-done mission movie: Get three DNA samples from a dino zone… before you get eaten. The grammar is straight-up video game: Family unit. Survival mission. Wild terrain. And of course, the cute kid who wanders off to befriend a baby dino. Despite starring actors Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey, it's a basic ride… but way better than the last one. Kids will love it. Dino face-offs? Check. Humans getting chomped? Double check. But at IMAX prices… find someone to take you. Go, pester power. Unleash the beast. Race against time As comedian-actor Jerry Seinfeld once said, 'The helmet is designed to protect a brain that is functioning so poorly, it's not even trying to stop the cracking of the head it's in.' That's F1. High speed. High risk. Zero logic. And now, a Brad Pitt movie where he literally races against time. As a dummy, I can confirm: F1 for dummies actually works. It admits it'd take a miracle for someone Brad's age to hop into F1 and beat legends in their prime. But that's the magic of movies. They don't run on realism, they run on fantasy. And this one? Flies. Sure, there's a throwaway romance. A few rule bends will make purists wince. But if you're a curious casual or a Brad groupie, it's worth a big-screen watch. With the sound, speed, spectacle, F1 is a turbo-charged throwback to Days of Thunder, updated for the Drive to Survive crowd. In two minds? Don't overthink it .Just go. Helmet's optional. Rare whodunnit Now streaming on Prime Video, Pune Highway is a wickedly fun murder mystery — with a sharp look at misogyny, bro-code, and the friends you picked before you knew better. Directed by Bugs Bhargava Krishna and Rahul DaCunha, it explores friendship, guilt, and gender among childhood friends from the same building. Comedian and screenwriter Anuvab Pal steals the show as the 'special' friend-turned-suspect, who casually drops: 'Smart guy, he caught me, uh! I must congratulate him.' Actor Amit Sadh brings depth and moral struggle. Jim Sarbh adds dry wit and legal tension. Together, they crackle. It's a rare whodunnit that digs into the blind spots of male friendships. Because what if your safe space… is a toxic cesspool? I loved it — though I wasn't a fan of how it left us, quite literally, stranded on the highway before reaching any destination. But maybe that's the point. It was never about the ending. From the hottest shows to hidden gems, overlooked classics to guilty pleasures, FOMO Fix is a fortnightly compass through the chaos of content.

When birthday girl Priyanka Chopra roasted Nick Jonas, took a dig at his acting career & their 10-year age gap; watch

Bollywood's OG Desi Girl and global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas is celebrating her 43rd birthday today. She rang in her special day in Miami, Florida with her doting husband and American singer Nick Jonas and their darling daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. Much to the delight of fans, PeeCee shared glimpses from their fun family holiday with sweet sneak peeks of her and Nick's romance, which continues to thrive after 6 years of marriage. They clearly bring out the best in each other, whether it's on vacations or during hilarious roasts. As we celebrate the icon that Priyanka is today, let's take a trip down memory lane to the Jonas Brothers Family Roast. Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas In 2021, the Jonas family got together for a hilarious roast, during which audiences once again witnessed Priyanka Chopra Jonas' witty side as she roasted her husband Nick Jonas. Talking about their age gap, which was discussed by many online when the two got married, PeeCee shared, 'Nick and I have a 10 year age gap. We do, and there are many 90s pop culture references he doesn't understand and I have to explain them to him. Which is fine because we teach each other. We teach each other things. He showed me how to use TikTok, for example. You know? And I showed him what a successful acting career looks like.' She went on to say, 'Also have you guys noticed like how much content the Jonas Brothers post online? Like, they're forever on Instagram, always on the phone. It's so cute. I'll tell you why. Because all of them combined still have less followers than me. So I guess, the most popular Jonas is @priyankachopra on Instagram.' This hilarious roast left Nick himself in splits! It was truly epic. In another segment, Priyanka shared, 'I wouldn't want to be married to anyone else, guys. I'm serious. Unless, of course, Chris Hemsworth suddenly became single. Might change things.' While Nick wiped his tears away, which he got from laughing too hard, Priyanka went on to say, 'Since we got married, people questioned our marriage. Right? They were like, 'Oh, it's a publicity stunt'. How could it be? I didn't even know how famous Nick was. All I knew was that he was Kevin Jonas' baby brother.' Well, we wish Priyanka a wonderful birthday as she enjoys her happily ever after with her king Nick and their princess Malti Marie.
