But I purchased this for my little sister who is in nursing school, and she takes this thing with her everywhere!!! All she does is rave about how amazing it is! So I bought one as well, and they really are amazing products. Made super well, they keep ice in them for hours and hours! Super comfortable to hold in your hand, not too heavy or bulky. Easy to clean and seem to be super durable. I've dropped mine I don't even know how many times now, and not a single mark! They also don't leak easy at all. Unless you're holding it completely upside down, even then it doesn't leak fast. Super happy!" —Jon & Katie SeversPrice: $27 (originally $45; deal available on select colors, including fuchsia, plum, mist, and stargaze) and shop all the Stanley deals here

They are truly leak-proof (perfect for meal prep or lunches!) and have built-in venting lids for easy reheating.
I bought this set a few Prime Days ago and it's one of my favorite Prime Day purchases ever. I LOVE these containers.Promising review: "For nearly all of my adult life, I was simply getting Gladware or Ziplock, letting them slowly deteriorate over the course of a few months, recycling them (or losing them), lather, rinse, repeat. It finally occurred to me to splurge on some good ones. I'm not one to review things very often, let alone food storage containers, but here we are. I've been so impressed and satisfied with these in just a few months that I feel compelled to tell y'all about them. They're super airtight, the plastic is crystal clear, and they've each been through the wash a dozen times with no particular sign of wear and tear yet. Usually by this point, the Ziplocs are cloudy, warped, have holes, etc. But these guys, they just keep ticking. We've put soup directly in them, frozen them, you name it. Worth the extra few bucks to keep a few more items out of the landfill." —Eric BeneauPrice: $84.99 (originally $129.99; smaller sets are also on sale)

The best part of this one is the design choice Apple went with this, this actually stays in your ear, unlike the other Apple AirPods. It's even better than the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and this is coming from a guy who switch from Samsung to iPhone. If you gonna get some AirPods save up for this one and get it on sale, Amazon sells it cheaper than any other stores." —Davier BoldsPrice: $149 (originally $249 (and currently $249 at Apple); typically $189.99 at Amazon)

It's not sticky, how I thought it might be, but it's not too buttery either. It stays on ALL night, which is a huge win for me because I sleep on my stomach and usually lip masks rub off at night. But this stays! It's really great and my lips feel so soft! I definitely recommend. Especially if you struggle with dry, flaky lips like me." —Samantha GarverPrice: $16.80 (originally $24; available in four flavors, including Peach, Berry, Grapefruit, and Gummy Bear) — and check out more Laneige Prime Day deals on Amazon!

AND it helps me not even start thinking the anxious or negative thoughts that *usually* keep me up at night. I got to upgrade to this new Kindle Paperwhite a few months ago, and the warm light feature is a game-changer. Promising review: "Caught wind of this on TikTok and decided to give it a whirl. Honestly, it's pretty solid! It really makes my skin look tight and shiny, like I just came out of a professional facial. It's an overnight mask, so yeah, it does have to stay on for a while, which is a bit of a hassle, but the payoff? Totally worth it. My skin feels more elastic, and the pores look minimized, too. If you don't mind the long wear time, this mask could be a game changer for your skincare routine!" —NalaPrice: $13.30 for four (originally $19)
35% off a pack of Crest 3D Whitestrips so you can channel Chip Skylark and belt out "My Shiny Teeth And Me" wherever you roam. It comes with 44 strips total, which is enough for 20 regular treatments and two one-hour express treatments.
Promising review: "I haven't used Crest White Strips in over five years. Since then, my teeth have stayed really white, and I frequently get compliments or questions about how I got my teeth so white. I decided to get a box to boost the whiteness of my teeth. Wow, I was shocked at how much these have improved! Before, the strips were really flimsy, hard to remove from the package, and really hard to keep on your teeth — the old ones would slip or bunch up. These are such an improvement! The new strips remove easily from the plastic they are on. The strips are REALLY adhesive! These will not budge! Since I've purchased, I have only used them about four times, and I can already notice a difference. Other people have noticed, too. I think these are well worth the money and work as well as a professional treatment. I have had friends who have done professional treatments and their teeth are not as white as mine. I highly recommend these to anyone who wants a brighter/whiter smile!" —Vanessa5o5Price: $29.99 (originally $45.99)

This cult-classic, slightly glossy shade is beyond "holy grail" status — it matches skin tones so beautifully that I'm personally starting to suspect witchcraft, after seeing so many TikToks of it subtly transforming entire beauty looks with just a few swipes.
I was very adamant about not buying this for the longest time because I am stubborn about "expensive" beauty products, but this is worth every penny and then some. It's so lightweight and layerable, it's foolproof to apply, and I have yet to wear a single outfit it doesn't complement??? I love watching it instantly elevate a casual look or add simple elegance to dressy ones. I wear it every day now, and after weeks of use, I've barely made a dent. Also, and maybe this is just me, but I tend to get pigment on my teeth with a lot of lip products, and I've simply never had an issue with this magic stick.Anyway, watch this TikTok of someone using it on their lips AND cheeks, because I did and oops, this lipstick FELL into my cart.Promising review: "This lipstick is a game changer. It goes on and stays on well. It is pretty sheer, but buildable. I have trouble with most red lipsticks turning pink after a bit. So, I will put this over my other colors, and it absolutely makes a difference. It's a great staple to keep in your cosmetic bag. It is something I will definitely buy again. You should absolutely try it!" —Amy H.Price: $17.50 (originally $25; also available in pink honey!)

Promising review: "I love this robot. We got this because our baby is constantly on the floor, so we just wanted a little extra help with keeping the floors clean. We run it every night, and seeing how much it picks up blows our mind. We have two dogs, so dog hair and Cheerios are mainly what we get, but it has definitely made a difference with our floors on top of what we already do to keep our floors clean. Highly recommend. We have vinyl wood floors, so it runs fine on it, but it can go on carpet as well. We just leave the room doors closed because it is very loud when it runs and we don't want it to come into the rooms." —MakaylaPrice: $139.99 (originally $274; also available in two other styles for a different or no discount) — and shop all the Roomba deals here

Now that's smart.
I have the non-smart version of this in my bedroom, and I love it. Just note that when you get it, you need to take the filter out and unwrap it before using!Promising review: "I waited over a month to write a review — this air purifier is amazing!! It's one of those products that you don't understand how much of a difference it makes until you get one. I have two cats, and my house is all carpet, so the house can smell stagnant sometimes, especially if the AC is off. One of my cats also has asthma, so I got this air purifier mostly for her, but it's made such a HUGE difference in the way my home smells. Since having it, my house has consistently smelled fresh, clean, and odorless. Even after forgetting to clean the litter boxes, my house has not smelled like cat litter since I've had it. It's very easy to set up. I bought a little plant stand to put it on so it wouldn't be on the carpet. It's very quiet, and the app is easy to use. It tells you the life of your filter, which is super helpful, and these filters last for a long time! You can set it up to be on a schedule, so you can set it up once and just forget about it. I recommend this air purifier to everyone. I'm NEVER worried about my house smelling anything but clean now. I would repurchase this a thousand times over." —haileePrice: $69.97 (originally $89.99; available in black and white)

The directional buttons for the tool are easy to use and if I accidentally press the button for the opposite way of which I'd like the barrel to spin, it's a quick and easy correction. I try all sorts of products for my job but this has quickly become one that I talk about all the time." Price: $69.30 (typically $99)

25% off a ChomChom pet hair remover roller that is deeply beloved by pet owners — it's like a sticky lint roller, but specifically designed to pick up pet hair. It not only locks it in, but also stashes it inside the roller itself so you don't end up making matters worse by just shoving the hair around (instead of getting rid of it properly).
Promising review: "My cat sheds and I saw this on TikTok and very much thought of it as an impulsive purchase at first for its price tag. But no, this is a very very necessary item in my day to day life. Does it pick up every single hair leaving everything completely hairless, not really, it can be difficult to pick up hair from difficult crevices/corners and hair that's trapped within woven fabrics/upholsteries — HOWEVER — it does a wayyy wayyy better dang job than a lint roller or other products that rival this. My mother picked up something from a competitor and it did not clean up the hair as well as this did. I keep getting these for my pet-having friends as gifts because it's truly a holy grail product. I like that it picks up human hair too because as a long hair haver I can shed about as much as my cat does. It's a durable product too, I've had mine for about a year now and it still works like it used to and it's fairly easy to clean the inside." —ConniePrice: $18.74 (originally $24.99)

The Camping Safety Items You Should Have On Hand
Safety and emergency preparedness are typically two notions that most folks already take into consideration when it comes to camping and outdoor adventures. That still doesn't mean it's not important to take stock of what's in your current stash of gear, or, if you're a wilderness newbie, to learn what essentials to take. Cody Lundin is an Arizona-based survival instructor who teaches living skills and urban preparedness. He said that the specific essential gear that a person takes outdoors is really based upon 'their bioregion, the intention of the trip, personal skill level and experience.''In other words, if I head into the mountains with spruce and fir trees, or if I go into one of our four North American deserts, the gear that I carry may change to adapt to that specific landscape,' he said, adding that winter survival and desert survival are opposite outdoor temperature extremes that can kill the unprepared hiker or Lundin said that there are items that have been carried in the wilderness for thousands of years by native peoples that are just as valid today in a modern outdoor survival kit. So now that you've already got your tent, your sleeping bag is packed and the s'mores provisions are locked and loaded, consider the following list of items that Ludin and other wilderness experts say they always bring out into field — — plus guidance on how to make your next camping trip safe and fun. Stormproof strike anywhere matches and match safe Survival instructor Cory Lundin stressed the importance of having fire in survival situations and the modern and reliable lighting tools to make one. "I prefer a gross motor way to create fire, meaning that it is easier to do when stressed out, with cold hands, in inclement weather, or the dozens of other things that can go sideways in the wilderness," Ludin said. "Save the exotic fire by friction sets for having fun, making fun of crap TV survival shows, or showing off to your friends."According to Ludin, he carries at least three different fire lighting methods in his personal kit because there are pros and cons to each type of ignition. One method is a pack of strike anywhere matches stored in a match safe. Based on this guidance, we chose this set of 25 storm- and wind-proof matches that are easy to light, will burn up to 15 seconds each and will relight even after being submerged in water. They come in a floating and waterproof match box that features an integrated and replaceable them from Amazon for $8.95+ (available in three colors). A Ferro Rod fire starter The Ferro Rod with striker is another fire lighting tool that came at the suggestion of Creekmore, as well as Lundin, who explained that it's a magnesium bar with a ferrocerium rod embedded in the side as an ignition source. The sharp-toothed sparker effectively shaves off hot ribbons of magnesium to make quick and easy work of lighting tinder. Creekmore suggests taking along cotton balls dipped in petroleum jelly when packing the Ferro Rod because these can help not only work as tinder for the fire, but also help sustain its burning for it from Amazon for $13.99+ (available in four styles). A pack of three credit card-sized fresnel lenses Lundin's final fire-starting tool in his kit are fresnel lenses which are the size of a credit card and use magnification to concentrate sunlight onto to tinder in order to ignite a flame."All fire craft demands a reasonable amount of skill and attention," said Lundin, who offers fire safety courses. He noted that hundreds of acres of wilderness are lost to forest fires each year, caused by careless campers with no working fire a 3-pack from Amazon for $4.99 (available in three colors). A robust knife with a continuous blade "This robust, full-tang knife is perfect for a variety of survival tasks, from cutting and carving to gutting and skinning game," Creekmore said of the Morakniv Garberg knife. "Its durable build and sharp edge make it a reliable tool for any wilderness adventure."The Morakniv Garberg also fits the knife guidance of Lundin, who said that he advises opting for a fixed blade (not a folding knife) that is carbon steel with a wide sharpening bevel that is simple in design.""The skill of using the knife comes from the user, not the knife, and a simple blade design will give the user the most options for using the knife in a wide variety of environments," Lundin it from Amazon for $70.04. A two-way emergency satellite phone Mykel Hawke is an author, former Army special forces officer, an educator and survival expert possessing an impressive resume of qualifications. According to him, having the ability to to call for help is the number one thing to do in any emergency. "I recommend a [satellite] phone or a spot device or anything that can reach for help when you have no cell coverage," Hawke said. "Sat phones," like this highly rated option that we selected, allow users to send SOS notifications to 24-hour search and rescue services globally, as well as share your location with loved ones back home at any time — though an active satellite subscription is required. The Garmin is enabled with an accurate compass and other directional routing features that allow you to track back the direction you came from. Using Bluetooth, users can sync to all existing smart devices to help plan trips and the battery can last up to 14 days per charge. One important note is that, according to some reviewers who claim to have experience using satellite phones, delays in message response time is to be it from Amazon for $349.99 (available in two colors). A multi-fuel camping stove "[Have] a good camp stove and utensils for cooking and eating. The main thing we do [is] cook, boil, eat, drink, prep, clean and repeat so, own good stuff," Hawke explained. He said that he personally uses stoves that are multi-fuel to keep ignition options open. Based on this guidance, we researched and found this well-known option by MSR, a hybrid portable camping stove that uses a brand-exclusive technology to create the optimal fuel and air mix. This means the stove operates seamlessly with canister fuel, white gas, kerosene and unleaded gasoline. Additionally, the brand claims that the feed system from the liquid canister delivers "better cold weather and low-fuel performance with a more consistent output."Get it from Amazon for $179.96+ (available in two sizes). An all-purpose emergency first aid kit It might go without saying that a first aid kit should always be among your camping essentials but Hawke said that it's surprisingly an item that people often forget. Whatever kit you choose, Hawke said the kit should be one that will tend to both illness and injuries. We found this popular 299-piece kit that includes everything you need to disinfect wounds, bandage cuts and soothe burns. Clear plastic interior compartments keep everything organized and the soft sided zip case makes storage and transportation a it from Amazon for $19.71. An editor-endorsed sleeping pad Although a sleeping pad may not seem like a typical safety essential for camping, Hawke said that a good night's sleep is often under-appreciated in the outdoors and extended days of poor sleep can really put a damper on an otherwise fun camping didn't suggest a specific sleeping pad or brand, however we are big fans of the Expend MegaMat 10, a self-inflating pad that uses a core of air-channeled foam insulation to keep the pad lightweight, yet extremely comfortable and warm in cold conditions. The MegaMat comes in several sizes and lengths to accommodate different heights and number of sleepers. Get it from Amazon for $259.95+. A pair of tactical LED flashlights Hawke mentioned flashlights should be among the standard list of tools one would need for camping. We selected these Gear Light tactical flashlights for their compact size, affordable price point and the over 61,000 5-star Amazon ratings. These weather-proof and high-lumens flashlights have five light modes, a zoomable beam and claim to be strong enough to withstand a 10-foot a 2-pack from Amazon for $19.99+ (available in two colors).

Employee sparks outrage after sharing dark truth about Amazon returns: 'I think people completely forgot about that part'
A retail worker, who works at a store that accepts Amazon returns, shared an image with Reddit's r/Anticonsumption community showing six full pallets of returned items collected over just one weekend. What's happening? The image shows towering pallets packed with returned items, all gathered from a single store during one weekend. "Six full pallets of returns that will more than likely go to the landfills," the poster wrote, adding that they shared this with friends and family who regularly use Amazon, hoping to influence their shopping habits. This massive pile forms part of the estimated 3.5 billion products returned annually in the U.S. Many retailers find it cheaper to throw away returned items than to reprocess them. One Redditor commented, "With how easy returns can be, you essentially have the option to 'try it on in the store', but instead of leaving it on a hook for the employee to grab and save you the 2 minute walk to put it back, you don't have to go to the store at all. You can just send it back and forth across the entire f****** planet." Another replied, "I think people completely forgot that part!! It gets shipped from china, then onto a plane, then a truck, then a smaller truck to your door, then you get in your car and drive it the store to return, then another truck picks up those returns, then more trucks to whatever it goes from there." Why is excessive product waste concerning? Each returned item carries a carbon impact from its manufacturing process, plus additional pollution from shipping stages. Many returned products travel thousands of miles before ending up in landfills, where they release methane as they break down. For items with electronics or batteries, landfill disposal causes toxic chemicals to leak into soil and water. Even regular products add to overflowing landfills and waste valuable resources and energy. Is Amazon doing anything about this? Amazon has started some sustainability initiatives, including its Climate Pledge to reach net-zero carbon by 2040. Critics note that Amazon's business model encourages heavy consumption through features like one-click ordering and free returns. While the company has reduced some packaging, the problem of return waste remains mostly untouched. Do you think America has a plastic waste problem? Definitely Only in some areas Not really I'm not sure Click your choice to see results and speak your mind. Some Amazon facilities work with liquidation companies or donation programs, but this practice isn't common across all return locations. What can I do to help reduce return waste? You can take several steps to lower your shopping's environmental impact. Buy with intention by researching products thoroughly beforehand, making returns less likely. Shop locally when possible, which cuts shipping pollution and lets you see products before purchase. When buying online, check sizing charts carefully and read reviews to make better choices. Find online retailers with smarter return policies. Some stores have dedicated restocking systems rather than trashing returns. Before returning items, consider whether they could be fixed, reused, or donated locally instead.
