The A-Line Bob Is Officially Summer's Chicest Haircut - Here's How To Style It
The A-line bob is one of the most iconic haircuts of all time; think Victoria Beckham, Kiera Knightley, Taylor Swift - or more recently, Naomi Watts, Lily Collins and Zendaya. It's graphic and striking cut, and the ultimate hairstyle statement.
However, with tousled cuts like the French bob having taken a backseat in recent years, the A-line bob now runs the risk of looking slightly dated. In turn, it requires an expert eye to translate the style for 2025, taking it from a 2000s cool girl hairstyle for the history books and turning it into a fresh, eye-catching modern cut.
Luckily, we enlisted the help of in-salon experts to breakdown the need-to-know details of the A-line bob, including how to cut and style it with a contemporary allure. Here's what they said.
The A-line bob is a nostalgic and instantly recognisable cut, not too dissimilar to the coveted graduated bob. It's angular, sharp and has a timeless appeal.
'An A-line bob is an angular short haircut a little longer at the front than the back,' explains Jake Schaverien, Stylist, Hari's South Kensington. 'It can suit almost anyone and can bit contouring for some as long as it is kept well below the jawline. However, it can also drag the face down on longer, more oval face shapes.'
The good news is, the A-line bob is generally a very adaptable haircut, and it can be flattering across many face shapes and hair types as long as it's curated to you. 'You would just determine the length with your stylist best suited for your face shape,' says Molly Newell, Creative Stylist at the Neil Moodie Studio.
The process of cutting an A-line bob is a fairly straightforward one, but always one that's best left to the professionals given its sharp, graphic angle.
'For an A-line bob, you cut as you would a normal bob however instead of creating a blunt line you would graduate the nape area and create a round shape,' explains Newell.
Be sure to take reference images to your stylist, too. It's a great way of creating a visual representation of the shape, length and angle you want to replicate; it can then be tweaked to fit your own facial anatomy.
As with many other crisp, angular bobs, your styling options are plentiful.
'Styling an a-line bob can be easy for different textured hair. Both natural curls and straight hair work for the look,' says Schaverien. 'You could also use a tong to create soft waves for a carefree and playful look. If you mean business then a super sleek finish with your straighteners will look super professional.'
It's important to ask your stylist should cut your A-line bob according to your everyday hair routine, says Newell. 'For smooth and straight, I recommend styling using the Davines Oi All in One Milk, layered with their Volume Boosting Mousse. Use a classic Denman Brush with the Dyson Supersonic R dryer to blowdry straight. For a more playful wave prep with the same products but either diffuse dry or blowdry with a large round bristle brush then curl using a GHD curling iron.'

Louis Vuitton's Saint-Tropez Restaurant Is Back With a Michelin Star
The Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric atLouis Vuittonrestaurant has set up shop at the White 1921 Saint-Tropez for the third consecutive year. This time, however, the bougie dining locale is back with a newly earned Michelin star. Chef Arnaud Donckele and chef pâtissier Maxime Frédéric have unveiled a seasonal menu guided by three pillars: international food, disruptive dishes, and cultural meals. The chefs, both of whom are from Normandy, place a special emphasis on French and Mediterranean cuisine, but international flavors contribute to the menu's travel-by-plate mentality. Among the best-rated dishes are the Wagyu beef, which is served in a seasoned broth, and the grilled blue lobster, which is dressed with shiso-infused sauce. The Louis Vuitton restaurant features all sorts of nods to the French megabrand's core identity, including trunk-shaped side tables, Monogram-inspired tableware from the 'Art de la Table' collection, and even desserts modeled after the label's signature shapes and motifs. The alfresco dining area is filled with white and blue sofas, which are enclosed by lush greenery decorated with logomanic flowers. The Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton restaurant is now open at Hotel White 1921 in Saint-Tropez, France, and reservations can be made on the brand's website. Take a look inside the restaurant in the gallery above.

Romeo Beckham dating again after Kim Turnbull split
Romeo Beckham has sparked rumours that he is dating influencer Caroline Daur. The news comes days after reports surfaced that he had called it quits with former flame Kim Turnbull. According Page Six, the second-eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham and Daur were spotted leaving the same party at the Hotel Costes in Paris on Saturday night. A photographer who was at the scene claimed security "did everything" to prevent Daur from being photographed while she was in the same car as Romeo, allegedly telling the paparazzi to "f**k off". They then went to Giulia nightclub, where they partied until 2.30am. The German model and the former soccer player left the party separately. Daur, who is eight years Beckham's senior, wore a strapless black minidress and leather knee-high boots, while he dressed down in a black long-sleeved shirt, pants and trainers. The late-night outing came days after multiple reports that Beckham and his ex Turnbull had broken up after seven months of dating. A source told Us Weekly that the exes split because of the drama that has been growing within the Beckham family over the last few months. Turnbull was previously a close friend to Beckham's older brother, Brooklyn.

Swan Ball 2025: Nashville brings glamorous gowns and gussied-up guests, see our best photos
It was with great anticipation that guests for the 63rd Annual Swan Ball arrived at Edwin Warner Park to enjoy an evening benefiting the Friends of Warner Parks, and they were not disappointed. Co-chairs Melanie Baker and Laura Niewold, working with Dori Thornton Waller of The Social Office, left no detail unattended. The doors to a stunning glass Atrium were opened by members of the Swan Ball Dance Committee as ladies in gowns and gentlemen in white tie and tailcoat suits were offered champagne or a favorite cocktail along with passed appetizers from Kristen Winston Catering. Guests perused the eclectic jewelry from Swan Ball Jeweler Sidney Garber, where the first Swan Award, presented to Swan Ball founder Jane Anderson Dudley in 1970, was on display. (I admit here that I was unaware of the significance of the extraordinary award and actually commented that the gold swan with emerald eyes was my favorite piece…who knew!) The park, visible through the glass tent, provided a perfect backdrop as the evening began to blossom. As the dinner bell rang, guests moved into the dining room, centered by a magnificent tree laden with various shades of pink cherry blossoms. The tables were adorned with pink and white linens and anchored in the center with elegant pink florals from Jim Knestrick/Knestrick by Design, bringing oohs and aahs. It was, well, just breathtaking!Guests were seated to a summer cheese plate of Delice de Bourgogne, strawberry preserves, berries, buttered pecans, butter lettuce, and greens served with a vinaigrette and toasted baguette. Swan Ball Initiative, Inc. co-chairs Kathryn Carell Brown and Elizabeth Litterer Nichols welcomed guests and presented the 2025 Swan Award to philanthropist, jewelry designer, and art patron Brooke Garber Neidich. Brown and Nichols also thanked co-chairs Melanie Baker and Laura Niewold for their dedication to the ball, presenting them with a gift of appreciation. The evening continued with a dinner of filet of beef with French fingerlings and corn sauté, asparagus, and sugar snaps in maître d'hôtel butter. Lawrence Wine Estates provided the wine pairings, a 2019 Burgess Burnside Road Chardonnay and a 2018 Burgess Contadina Cabernet Sauvignon. Profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and chocolate brandy sauce completed the meal. After dinner, guests headed to the dance floor as they awaited Grammy Award winner Patti LaBelle, and at age 81, she still has that golden voice. I must add here that I had the opportunity to see LaBelle, as they say, back in the day (circa 1983) when she was at the top of the Disco Charts. My friends, she still has it and did not disappoint! Following LaBelle's performance, Blue Rhythm took the stage, energizing the crowd as guests continued to dance into the early morning hours. The 63rd Annual Swan Ball, A Legacy Blossoms, brought Nashville's Spring Social Season to a close, with all the grandeur and elegance ball guests have enjoyed since 1962. While the venue and the beneficiary of the Swan Ball have changed, the Swan Ball remains the Grand Dame of Nashville's social scene.
