This Might the Only Way You'll Ever Own a Pagani Utopia
Pagani's are expensive, and for good reason. The level of craftsmanship and detail, paired with the low production numbers, creates something closer to a work of art than a mode of transportation. And now you have a chance to own one, provided you're willing to spend 30-plus hours putting together a detailed 1:8-scale model of the
Utopia
.
The kit is the result of a collaboration between
Pagani
and Pocher, an Italian model maker that's part of Hornby Hobbies. The car measures 22.76 inches long, 11.5 inches wide, and 5.83 inches high when built, which will take well over a day to complete, according to the company. All together, it weighs 17.6 pounds.

The
1:8-scale Utopia
features over 556 individual parts and more than 200 screws, which Pocher says are made from 'premium materials.' It has metal body parts, and rubber tires, as well as functioning doors, steering, and suspension. You can't peek at the Utopia's V-12 engine, however, and you'll have to
make your own engine noises
.
The model, which is available in the car's launch color—Rinascimento Lucido, isn't cheap. But it's a steal compared to a real Pagani, costing £879.99 ($1,190.95 at today's exchange rate). The

is available online as a
three-part PDF
, or you can
buy a physical version for £14.99
($20.29). Porcher is running a deal right now where you can

Lotus Emira update promises ride and handling boost
The Lotus Emira has been updated with a series of refinements that promise to bring both a more engaging drive and greater levels of comfort. The Emira V6 SE (priced from £96,500) gets retuned dampers and new alignment settings that are said to improve both its ride and handling. Its manual gearbox also gets new mounts that are intended to improve the precision of gearchanges. Autocar previously found it prone to hesitation when slotting the gearlever into higher ratios when rushing a shift. Meanwhile, the Mercedes-AMG-powered four-cylinder Emira Turbo (from £79,500) gets a reworked dual-clutch automatic gearbox that is said to change gears more quickly and be smoother in its delivery. Both versions get updated cooling systems with rerouted lines, improving flow to the gearbox oil cooler and the main radiator. Lotus said this reduces temperatures and sheds weight, although it has yet to specify how much lighter the new Emira is. It has also recalibrated the engine thermostat so that it doesn't open until 75deg C – up 10deg C on its current specification – to improve performance in hotter climes. As well as technical updates, Lotus has introduced a new Racing Line trim for both the Turbo and V6 models. This adds a lower-body pinstripe in yellow, red or silver, mirror caps painted the same colour and monochrome exterior badging. It costs an extra £3000. ]]>

The Audi Q2 tied for third most reliable car in the world for two-to-three year-old car recalls, in the 2025 TÜV Report. Among four-to-five year-old cars, both the Q2 and the A3 made the top ten list for fewest recall issues in the world.
