
Researcher Ibrahim Zayed earns PhD with honors from Sana'a University
Researcher Ibrahim Mohammed Zayed has been awarded a PhD with Distinction and Honors from Sana'a University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities for his dissertation.
The dissertation titled "The Transparent Essence Gathered from the Depths of the Scout (Part 3) - A Study and Verification of the Work by Scholar Abdullah bin Al-Hadi bin Imam Yahya bin Hamzah" covers Quranic analysis from Surah Saba' to Surah Ash-Shura.
The examination committee chaired by Dr Mohammed Al-Ma'khadhi (supervisor) with members Dr Saeed Al-Haddad (external examiner) and Dr Huda Al-Ammad (internal examiner) unanimously praised the academic quality of the research.
The committee recommended publishing the dissertation and sharing it with other universities noting its significant contribution to Islamic studies and Quranic exegesis

Sana'a City inaugurates women Koranic training center
Sana'a - Saba: The General Administration of the Generation of the Holy Quran Schools, affiliated with the Quranic Culture Unit of the Women's Authority in the Capital Secretariat, opened the first women's center for training and qualification for Quranic permits. At the opening, Umma Al-Salam Al-Qasimi, head of the Generation of the Quran Schools, explained that the center aims to qualify female memorizers of the Holy Quran to receive permits with chains of transmission traceable back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), enabling them to recite the Holy Quran and teach it to others. She highlighted the importance of learning and teaching the Holy Quran and enrolling sons and daughters in Generation of the Quran schools. Al-Qasimi praised the efforts of the Women's Authority and the Cultural Unit in sponsoring and monitoring these schools in response to the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. Ibtisam Al-Mahtoori, head of the General Mobilization Unit at the Women's Authority, praised the efforts of those in charge of the center, which is the first center specializing in ijazahs with a specialized female cadre based on the "Believe and Do Righteous Deeds" methodology. For her part, Wedad Al-Nashri, director of the Training and Qualification Center, reviewed the conditions for admission to the center and its operating mechanism, which serves the community by graduating female teachers who have memorized the Holy Quran. The Saudi Royal Court has officially announced the passing of Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal Al Saud, widely known as the 'Sleeping Prince,' following nearly 20 years in a coma caused by a traumatic car accident in 2005. In a deeply emotional statement shared by his father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, the family expressed their sorrow and faith: 'O tranquil soul, return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing. Enter among My servants, and enter My Paradise.' 'With hearts believing in Allah's will and decree, and with deep sorrow and sadness, we mourn our beloved son.' Prince Al-Waleed, who was just 15 when the accident occurred during his military studies in London, remained in a vegetative state for two decades. His condition became a symbol of perseverance and paternal devotion, as Prince Khaled refused to withdraw life support, believing in divine healing. Videos of the prince responding faintly to Quranic recitations had long captured public empathy across the Kingdom. The funeral prayer will be held on Sunday, July 20, at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh for men, and at King Faisal Specialist Hospital for women. Mourning gatherings will take place over three days at the family's residence in Al-Fakhariya district. Social media platforms were flooded with tributes under the hashtag #SleepingPrince, as Saudis and others across the Arab world shared condolences and praised the family's unwavering faith. Prince Al-Waleed was the eldest son of Prince Khaled bin Talal and the nephew of billionaire investor Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. Sana'a University announces opening of Bridging System coordination & admissions
Sana'a - Saba: Sana'a University has announced the opening of coordination and admissions for the Bridging System for students holding Intermediate Diploma or Technical Diploma certificates (two-year or three-year programs) for the 1447 AH / 2025-2026 academic year. In a statement obtained by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the university clarified that the Student Affairs Department has opened applications for the Bridging System for the new academic year, in accordance with the regulations and conditions outlined in Ministerial Decision No. (12) of 1447 AH / 2025. The statement confirmed that coordination and admissions will remain open until Wednesday, Safar 6, 1447 AH (July 31, 2025) at the Student Affairs Department of the university. Sana'a University urged male and female students holding Intermediate or Technical Diplomas (two-year or three-year programs) who wish to continue their higher education through the Bridging System to apply through the Student Affairs Department to complete registration procedures.
