Jeremy Clarkson fuming at pub dogging site discovery

Yahoo23-05-2025

Jeremy Clarkson has his head in his hands over the discovery that The Windmill pub grounds is a dogging site in Clarkson's Farm scenes released on Friday.
Of course The Windmill pub will later become known as The Farmer's Dog.
The first part of Clarkson's Farm series four ends with the former Top Gear presenter sharing his frustration about the dogging site as he tries to find a solution. This won't come as a huge surprise to Clarkson fans as he previously has spoken about how he had to tackle the issue on Instagram last year.
Complaining to Charlie Ireland, he tells him on-screen in new scenes on Clarkson's Farm: "It's the perfect site. Now this bloody picnic site. Of all the damn things!"
Earlier on in the episode, Clarkson is left wide-eyed when his lawyer Richard breaks the news to him on the phone that the pub has an open secret: it's a dogging site. The lawyer explains without using those exact words: "Some behaviours that might put you off eating your picnic."
Staring at the camera, Clarkson looks bewildered. "Um," he says. "Sorry, Lisa has just walked in. Is this where there were some public lavatories there?"
His lawyer responds on speakerphone saying: "Yes there were some public lavatories there."
Clarkson questions him further: "Are the problems centred around activities in the public lavatories?"

The lawyer is left awkwardly trying to find the words. He says: "Umm... Yes. We have happened to cross some quite interesting photographs which capture certain graffiti and certain goings on."
Flicking through the file on the pub, Clarkson finds the details about the picnic site. He says: "Ah, I've just found the photographs in one of these documents. So they drilled holes from cubicle to cubicle?"
Richard cracks the joke: "I don't think that was to improve ventilation."
Clarkson sums everything up: "Rightio... The cubicles themselves were full of graffiti, strewn with pornography and again faeces. This how the picnic site was being treated. I can now see why the previous owner applied to have the picnic site disallowed. Is that allowed?"
He's furious to find out that the previous owner was unsuccessful in sorting the issue. "They knew that this doggery was happening!" Clarkson declares.
His lawyer sympathises that there was quite a lot of evidence.
Clarkson presses his lawyer on what can be done but fails to find a solution.
Over the next few days, Clarkson made subsequent visits to the grounds of the pub where he found evidence that the dogging was still happening. He was informed it was called the "A40 bum club".
The lavatories had been demolished though.
The presenter sighs as he discovers a lacy thong which he picks up with a twig. "F***ing hell, honestly," he says. "Ah," he says on discovering a condom. The road sign outside of the pub also read: roger my colon.
Finally, Clarkson takes his findings to Ireland. The former Grand Tour star asks him: "The lavatories seem to be demolished without planning permission... Then people started going into... The Windmill itself but the pub and the carpark as far as I can determine are not part of the picnic site. If they come here saying 'can we use your lavatories because we spoiled the ones out there dogging and cottaging', you can say no."
Ireland delivers the blow to Clarkson. He says: "No I don't think you can. I think there is some wording in one of the agreements, if there isn't any lavatories out here, the owner of the restaurant must provide facilities. It's in there very clearly."
No doubt Clarkson's plan of action to bring about change will play out on our screens in the drop of episodes next week.
It comes after he had faced a series of set backs in his search for the perfect pub. The first pub he had liked, the Coach and Horses, was in too much disrepair and with more than £500k in repairs to do on the property, he had to begin his search again.
The fourth series of Clarkson's Farm will launch globally on Prime Video 23 May.

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant with her first child

Vanessa Kirby is pregnant. The 38-year-old actress revealed that she is expecting her first child as she showed off a baby bump during a photocall for her new movie 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' at the Comic Con Experience Mexico on Saturday (31.05.25). Vanessa is said to have got engaged to her partner Paul Rabil last December after he popped the question after two years of dating, according to the New York Post's Page Six column. The pair were first spotted together in New York City in October 2022 and made their romance Instagram official the following year. Paul, the President of the Premier Lacrosse League, captioned a carousel of Instagram images: "from the very minute we first met in des moines, around the world and back, life is far better, more purposeful and more beautiful with you (sic)' Before finding love with Paul, Vanessa dated actor Callum Turner for four years but revealed that she chose to keep the relationship private as people weren't interested in the details. 'The Crown' actress said in 2018: "I keep my relationship super private. "He is just completely wonderful and he's my best friend, so that's ... I guess you can either choose to talk about it or not. If you talk about it, it becomes interesting to people, but if you don't, then it's not." Vanessa portrayed Princess Margaret in the first two seasons of the Netflix drama about the British royal family but feared that she was "finished" after playing a part that seemed over-the-top in comparison to Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth. She told The Times newspaper: "Claire is the master of subtlety and I'd be sitting across from her in those scenes with tears coming out, smoking cigarettes, my nose running and I'm shouting in her face. "And I remember thinking, 'Oh my God. This could be the most pantomime thing I've ever done. I'm going to be finished after this.'" However, she has since embarked on a career in blockbuster movies - such as 'Mission: Impossible - Fallout' - and explained that she is drawn to playing "strange" characters. Kirby said: "Strange. That's the biggest compliment you could give me: strange. I just love playing strange; the stranger the better.'
