People Are Literally Crying Over This Heartbreaking Animation Of A Kids' TV Show Announcing That It Has Been Cancelled
A kids' TV show has reduced adults who've never even heard of it before to tears after the creators posted an emotional video about Nickelodeon cancelling it to social media.
The Tiny Chef Show is a stop-motion/ live-action hybrid series that premiered on the network back in 2022. It has won huge critical acclaim over the years, and even won two Children's and Family Emmy awards, one for Outstanding Directing for a Preschool Animated Program in 2023, and one for Outstanding Preschool Animated series just this year.
It also has a pretty star-studded cast, with RuPaul, Rebel Wilson, and Alan Cumming among the voice actors on the show. But despite all of this, The Tiny Chef Show took to social media on Tuesday to announce that it had been cancelled, writing in the caption: "SOS Cheffers, please go to the link our bio to learn how you can help us keep Chef on social media. Tiny chefs cooking show has officially been cancelled (very unexpected) and without the support of a major network we need crowd funding to keep cookin' over here.'
'We want to thank @nickelodeon for giving Chef two blamazing seasons and all the besties he made there,' the post went on. 'Chef wouldn't want anyone to blame his friends over there, he's just deeply sad he doesn't get to continue hosting a show he adores. Please let cheffy know how much he means to you in the comments he's really feelin this one.'
And the accompanying video is going viral on X for how emotional it is, with the creators behind the show putting together a short clip of the stop-motion main character, Tiny Chef, discovering that the show has been axed.
In the video, Tiny Chef is upbeat as he cleans his apartment when his phone rings. Still pretty excited, he says: 'Hey Nickelodeon, how's it going? You ready to cook up some more episodes? I got a million id-" but he is cut off.
Tiny Chef then gasps and brings his hand to his mouth as he says: 'Cancelled? What do you mean cancelled?'
'I have ideas that will blow your mind,' he pleads, before wiping away tears and sadly saying: 'But we won an Emmy… But what about Rob? And Jen? Kate? Patty? MK? Leah? All my friends?'
'I understand,' Tiny Chef eventually says with sad acceptance. 'I love you, too.'
After hanging up the phone, Tiny Chef straightens out his apron and begins to pick up where he left off with the cleaning, only to burst into tears and go and sit on his bed sobbing.

The whole thing has really struck a chord with social media users, with one person sharing the video to X alongside the caption: 'Oh. Nickelodeon BROKE this man….' At the time of writing, this tweet has been seen more than 25 million times, and racked up hundreds of thousands of likes, retweets, and replies.
'Never seen an episode and this broke my fucking heart oh my god just let the little man cook,' a viral quote-tweet read. Somebody else added: 'The way he tries to go back to what he was doing before hearing the news but ends up breaking down into tears. That is real human emotion coming from this stop motion pre-school character.'
One more wrote: 'never knew tiny chef existed before i saw this post on the tl but i know for a fact he ain't deserve that shit.'
And another asked: 'How did they make me care about this character despite never seeing a single episode.' One more tweet read: 'I dunno who this little guy is but im boutta go to war for him.'
'im crying for a cancellation of a show I didn't even knew existed 10/10 announcement,' another user echoed.
Somebody else shared a pretty apt edit of a Brooklyn Nine-Nine meme, and wrote: 'The Internet as soon this video released.'

Retro Trailer For Fred Dekker's 1986 Horror Film NIGHT OF THE CREEPS — GeekTyrant
This week's retro trailer is for the 1986 horror film Night of the Creeps, which comes from Fred Dekker ( The Monster Squad, House ). This is a gloriously weird mash-up of sci-fi horror and '80s teen comedy that wears its B-movie heart on its sleeve. The story follows two college freshmen who unwittingly unleash an alien parasite that turns people into zombie-like creatures. What starts as a quest to impress girls quickly spirals into a full-blown invasion of body-snatching slugs, with a haunted ex-cop (played by genre legend Tom Atkins) reluctantly stepping in to help clean up the mess. This thing is part creature feature, part detective noir, and part John Hughes flick… with flamethrowers. What makes Night of the Creeps so beloved by cult film fans is how much it leans into its love for horror tropes while still feeling fresh and self-aware. Dekker stuffs the movie with clever nods to classic horror, character names like Cronenberg and Romero are just the beginning, and injects it all with a sense of goofy, gory fun. The practical effects are gooey and satisfying, the one-liners are great,, and the whole thing feels like it was made by a horror geek for horror geeks.
