Harrington hoping for maximum Impact in Irish Derby
Harrington is perhaps mostly known for the long and distinguished career of star two-mile chaser Moscow Flyer and the subsequent blue riband win of Sizing John, but she has also made her mark on the level and having bagged the Irish 1,000 Guineas and Irish Oaks previously now has her eye on the Curragh's elite contest for three-year-old colts.
Harrington said: 'These are very important races and ones that are recognised worldwide – just like winning a Champion Chase and Gold Cup in the National Hunt sphere, but winning an Irish Derby would be fantastic.
'It would very much be top of the list, so I would love to win the Irish Derby.'

Green Impact has won three of his four starts since narrowly beaten on debut at the Curragh during Irish Derby weekend 12 months ago.
He impressed when winning the Glencairn Stakes at Leopardstown earlier this month, a welcome confidence booster after losing a shoe at a vital stage of the 2000 Guineas on his return.
Harrington added: 'I wouldn't say he didn't get the run of the race in the 2000 Guineas as he travelled into the race great, but when he got down to the dip he went to change his legs and went to go and try to win the race and he then just lost a shoe and got a bit unbalanced and ended up finishing sixth.
'At the time I was disappointed but coming out of that race afterwards he was sore and so we gave him a bit of time. The intention was to go to the French Derby but we didn't get there, so we gave him the run in Leopardstown and all roads lead to the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby after that.'
Now the son of Wootton Bassett is a best price of 10-1 for his Classic assignment, as he prepares to tackle a mile and a half for the first time in a race that could feature the first three home from the Epsom equivalent.
'I think he'll benefit for the step up in trip, he won over a mile as a two-year-old and usually if they do that they stay,' added Harrington.
'He's by Wootton Bassett and out of a Galileo mare and he's also a very laid-back character and very relaxed and easy to do anything with, so I think he will stay.
'It's a big task and everyone looks and sees only 10 runners, but the majority of those 10 runners are quality horses.'

Hotazhell in the mix for stellar renewal of Eclipse
The son of Too Darn Hot excelled as a juvenile, winning four times and ending the year with Group One honours when edging out Aidan O'Brien's Delacroix at Doncaster in the Futurity Trophy. After missing his intended return in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains on account of fast ground at ParisLongchamp, Hotazhell was a respectable third behind impressive winner Field Of Gold when making his belated reappearance in Classic company at the Curragh. Harrington is now keen to move up in distance for what could be a mouthwatering Eclipse – for which Ombudsman, Sosie, Camille Pissaro are all pencilled in – but would also have no issue forgoing a trip to Esher to wait for future battles if no rain arrives. 'At the moment the plan is to go to the Eclipse with Hotazhell,' said Harrington. 'We're just hoping the weather might break next week in England and we get some rain and the idea would be to go to the Eclipse, but the weather will dictate as we don't want firm ground. 'He could have gone to France this weekend for a Group Two (Prix Eugene Adam), but we might as well wait and there are also plenty of races in the autumn for him. 'He ran very well at the Curragh and that was his first run of the year and a mile and two will be fine for him.'

Oliver Cole hails father Paul as ‘real legend' after announcing his retirement
Perhaps best known for saddling brilliant 1991 Derby winner Generous, the 83-year-old enjoyed over 1,500 winners during a stellar career which began in Wantage in 1987, and later became British Flat champion trainer in 1991, with his son pointing out he was in competition with a 'golden era' of trainers. 'He's a hell of a legend and has done it from scratch,' said Cole. Generous claimed the 1991 Derby for Paul Cole (Jim James/PA) 'He came from a golden era of trainers and was able to hold his own amongst them and was even champion in 1991. 'In his heyday when he had all of those good horses, he was leading trainer at Royal Ascot in 1994 with four winners and he trained one of the best horses ever in Generous with the way he was destroying those fields. 'He also had some amazing two-year-olds in Dilum and Strategic Prince and horses like Culture Vulture and Mr Dinos. He had the backing of some great owners along the way who enjoyed themselves and he's a real legend.' Since 2020, the Coles have shared the licence, enjoying Royal Ascot glory with Highland Chief in 2020 and also thriving with the high-class Royal Scotsman. Trainer Paul Cole trained many big winners during his career (Julian Finney/PA) Oliver will now take over the operation at Whatcombe on a full-time basis, a privilege he puts firmly down to his father's influence and success. 'We're very lucky to be training at Whatcombe, it's an amazing facility and it's an honour to be on the licence, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here,' he added. 'It's gone very well as a pair, but now it's down to me to just keep the show on the road. He won't be going anywhere, he's a great man to work with and great for advice, we'll keep kicking. 'I'll discuss with him when things formally hand over, but I imagine it will be pretty soon.' In revealing his retirement plan to The Sun, Cole senior said the chestnut Generous was the 'best I trained', adding: 'I looked out at a horse this morning and just thought the time has come for me to retire. 'I've been sharing the licence with my son Oliver since 2020, and I'm just very old now. Oliver knows what he's doing and is more than capable.'
