Lamborghini LM002: What Do You Want To Know?

Yahoo31-03-2025

It's not every day that you get to be up close and personal with a legendary car like the Lamborghini LM002, but I'm currently in Italy where I'm getting to do just that. Because I love all of you readers, I wanted to take full advantage of my very special experience and share it with you.
That means you've all got the perfect opportunity to find out what the "Rambo Lambo" is like from a guy who has fawned over this thing since he first laid eyes on it over 20 years ago. Now is your chance to ask me any sort of questions you may have about the LM002. What is it like? How does it drive? How well can you fit in it? Anything and everything!
: Lamborghini is flying me out of its factory in Italy, feeding me and putting me up in a hotel all so I can drive an LM002 and a plug-in-hybrid Urus SE.

Of course, there's stuff we all know about the LM002 already. We know about its wild styling, it's Countach-derived 5.2-liter V12 that put out 444 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque through a five-speed manual transmission to all four wheels. We know it was originally supposed to be a military vehicle that was turned into a civilian pickup truck of sorts. It's a wondrously strange machine.
Throughout its production run from 1986 to 1993, Lamborghini only produced 301 LM002s, so it's going to be by far the rarest vehicle I've ever driven. There are a few other nutty things about the LM002 you may not have been aware of, like the fact it has six Weber carburetors, 345-section tires and a 76-gallon fuel tank. I know. It's pretty mind-boggling.
It's really hard to put into words how damn excited I am to drive the LM002, so I'm going to let you all do the rest of the talking. Drop on down below and tell me everything you want to know about the Lamborghini LM002. I'm not exactly sure how much time I'm going to have with the truck, but I'll do my best to answer any questions you have.

A cult with cars? I'm inside this automotive clubhouse, soaking up a cool vibe

Tucked neatly behind a series of industrial complexes, studios and garages in Leaside, Toronto, lies RCLUB, a mysterious and somewhat misunderstood automotive social club. Some say their memberships cost upwards of $15,000. Others say it's an exclusive members club only for the fortunate few who own one of the world's great cars. The truth? It's a hub for all who love anything to do with automotive culture, and it provides its members a community to share in their passions. Since its creation in 2019, RCLUB (as in Our Club) has grown and evolved, while still staying true to its roots. Built upon the vision of founder, Adam Westland, to offer a luxury car-sharing platform, the club provided members with the opportunity to borrow high-end cars whenever they pleased. (Westland has a background in IT infrastructure design for hotel chains.) The model has since changed and the members have stayed. The shift in gear from supercar borrowing to automotive social club really started to ramp up over the past six months through the partnership of Nick Cassells, 42, and his wife, Whitney Bloom, 37, as they joined up with Westland. 'Today, the club has really evolved into this large community of auto enthusiasts' says Bloom. 'I think that's what's so great about the community at RCLUB, it's just really inclusive. It's not just a car club; it's a social club.' Now the club screams family and community, almost as loudly as the V10s of the Lamborghinis parked out back roar when they arrive. 'We both have full time jobs. but we are passionate about the RCLUB community and while it's busy with a three-year-old, a nine-month old and a dog), we are dedicated to keeping our unique car culture alive … even if it means stretching the boundaries of time,' says Bloom, who works for Meta. Cassells spent a decade at Labatt, where he learned how to create an atmosphere to make people feel welcomed. He attended culinary school at George Brown. 'Nick is always working to ensure the clubhouse, like his kitchen, is clean and fuelled with good energy,' says Bloom. The injection of Cassells' hospitality expertise invigorated the club. Even with its hidden location, and some confusion surrounding it since its change of direction, the 'exclusive' members car club has managed to grow to become the largest individually held and locally owned one in Canada. I went along to take in the Miami Formula One viewing party to sample the vibe. Some of the cars parked outside diverted partygoers' attention. A trio of Lamborghinis, in particular, caught the eye. I said I'd like to film some rolling footage of the Lamborghini squad. A club member jumped into action and rallied the three owners for a drive. He even hopped in at the wheel of my parents' Honda Fit, so I would be free to capture the moment through my lens as we took over the Bayview extension for a Sunday afternoon drive. It was generous of them to do this for a young photographer and highlights the large heart of this automotive family. I won't dwell on the features of the club: the mechanic bays, car storage, cars to swap and test, SIM racing, live events and discounts on parts and tires. What truly makes this club stand out is the inclusive vibe its members have built. Perhaps a line from the 'Fast & Furious' franchise will capture it best: 'Everyone becomes family. It's like a cult with cars.' — Aimes in 'Fast X.'

Lamborghini Reveals Revuelto Driving Sim At DreamHack Dallas

Lamborghini has taken a new approach to expand the brand's reach towards a younger generation by attending DreamHack Dallas 2025, a three-day immersive gaming festival that took place last weekend at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. 'This was a bold presence — a clear statement of intent,' said Christian Mastro, marketing director of Automobili Lamborghini. 'DreamHack Dallas marked our debut in the gaming festival scene and the start of a new dialogue with a vibrant, forward-thinking community. Automobili Lamborghini brought its dream to life in a new dimension—through performance, design, and digital innovation—aiming to reach new generations and affirm its role as an innovator in the digital world.' Automobili Lamborghini, a principal partner at the event, was the first-ever automotive brand to take the stage at the festival. Its display merged the excitement of esports, the thrill of professional vehicle simulation racing, and the reality of cutting-edge Web3.0 innovation. The crowd-pleasing eye-candy, and highlight of the display, was a Lamborghini Revuelto—the world's first production High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) hybrid super sports car. With a price tag north of $600,000, the two-seat exotic boasts a mid-mounted V-12 complemented by three electric motors. The total output of the plug-in hybrid is 1001 hp and 1044 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 4,300-pound curb weight. The 0-60 mph sprint takes a mere 2.2 seconds as the vehicle races to a top speed of 217 mph. Unlike the standard production models, the one-of-a-kind Lamborghini Revuelto was emblazoned with a custom, dedicated livery digitally replicated in-game on a driving simulator sharing the stage. According to the Italian automaker, the application was 'a powerful representation of Automobili Lamborghini's commitment to interoperability between the physical and virtual worlds.' The Italian automaker chose the show to debut the Versaro x Automobili Lamborghini simulator—the result of a partnership between the Italian automaker's Centro Stile and U.K.-based sim-specialist Vesaro. The precision-engineering racing rig (offered in yellow, green, blue, and orange) puts the driver into a detailed replica of a racing cockpit. Crafted from a carbon shell, the one-of-a-kind simulator is fitted with a genuine Lamborghini Revuelto sport racing bucket seat and Moza's new Revuelto steering wheel—a duplicate of the steering wheel placed in the actual road vehicle. Simulator hardware includes the Simucube 2 Sport wheelbase (that delivers 17Nm, or 12.54 pound-feet, of torque) paired with Vesaro's Pro-R pedal box (featuring a 3mm carbon steel build) with load cell brakes. Dual box actuators provided FIA-approved pitch and roll movement, delivering full motion immersion to the gamer. The simulator was running Assetto Corsa Competizione and Assetto Corsa Evo software, two popular simulation platforms. Bridgestone Tire, an OE supplier for Lamborghini, was also in attendance. The tire company hosted an 'Asphalt' tournament from within the Automobili Lamborghini booth, featuring competition and live commentary from top gamers and social media influencers. Expect DreamHack Dallas 2026, another three-day weekend of special announcements, top-tier esports, cosplay, special guests, and performances, to be scheduled next May—specific dates have yet to be released.

Lamborghini quietly unveiled something new (it's not a car)

I may not look like it, but I'm actually a car girlie. I've had the need for speed since I was little. My mom used to joke I could've been the next Danica Patrick. She swore I had a lead foot before I could even reach the pedals. Sure, I still had Barbies. But I made sure they had a hot rod to match. Convertible, cherry red, preferably with a spoiler. Related: Cartier and Van Cleef owner announces surprising year-end results Fast cars have always pulled me in. It's not just about what's under the hood - it's the feeling of motion. Fast, loud, and just dangerous enough to make your heart race. Starting my car daily is still a thrill - that engine growl hits every time. So when two of my passions came together, supercars and luxury fashion, it wasn't just a full-circle was fuel on fire. Image source: Lamborghini Lamborghini has quietly stepped off the track and into something entirely new. As part of a collaboration revealed during Balenciaga's Fall 2025 show, the Italian automaker co-launched an extensive line of ready-to-wear, bags, and accessories that blends speed-driven design with high fashion edge. But this isn't just a logo slap. We're talking oversized racing jackets, motorsport-inspired tees, and even reimagined Balenciaga bags - all featuring Lamborghini's iconic shield emblem. Related: Louis Vuitton, Dior customers get bad news The Rodeo, Hourglass, Explorer, and Carrie silhouettes have been given the supercar treatment. The collection even introduces all-new pieces like the Dashboard Clutch and Temerario key-fob charms, bridging lifestyle with mechanical inspiration in a way that feels (somehow?) totally natural. It's not just about the product, either. According to Hypebeast, Lamborghini and Balenciaga are rolling out immersive in-store experiences worldwide, with things like driving simulators made from real car parts and art installations that elevate auto design into sculpture. This isn't just hype - it's strategic branding at work. For Lamborghini, it's a signal that the brand is evolving beyond performance and prestige. It's leaning into lifestyle, aiming to expand its cultural footprint and stay top-of-mind with a younger, image-conscious generation. By stepping into fashion, Lamborghini gets something that can't be wind-tunneled: relevance. Meanwhile, Balenciaga, now under new creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, is using this high-wattage moment to reassert its identity and creative edge. That timing matters. Kering PPRUY reported that Q1 2025 revenue for its "Other Houses" segment, which includes Balenciaga, was down 11% compared to the same period in 2024. With the group doubling down on its elevation strategy for high-net-worth consumers, this partnership operates as both a brand reset and a bottom-line opportunity. It's a way to drive retail traffic, attract buzz, and stay visible in a crowded luxury landscape. Unlike some automakers' awkward merch attempts, this drop actually makes sense. It speaks to shared values - design, power, presence - and gives both brands cultural currency far beyond their core categories. Whether you're there for the torque or the tote, one thing's clear: this is more than a flex. It's a business play - and a smart one.
