Rockies 3, Scheffler 0: Colorado's social-media response after road sweep is hilarious
The Colorado Rockies are having a historically bad season and when they dropped to 9-50, they set the mark for worst start to a Major League Baseball season in the modern era (1901-present). They were also the third fastest to 50 losses.
When Scottie Scheffler won the Memorial for his third win in his last four starts, the memes were flying.
You probably saw a variety of versions of the same joke, that Scheffler had more mores wins than that sad sack of a baseball team did: "Wins since May 2: Scottie 3, Rockies 2."
Well, the Rockies have clapped back. (You have to appreciate a good sense of humor).
After Colorado inexplicably finished off a three-game road series sweep on Wednesday – one that did come against another pitiful team, the Miami Marlins – the Rockies took to social media to make their point.
After all, it has been a whole two days since Scheffler won a PGA Tour event.
