Jason Anderson out of the remainder of Supercross with 'ongoing health concerns'
Jason Anderson will miss the remainder of the 2025 Monster Energy Supercross season to deal with ongoing health concerns.
Last week, Anderson missed the entire Seattle program because of what was described as a family emergency. Neither the rider nor the team has provided an update on the cause of that emergency. Still, after missing that round and leaving the Pacific Northwest seventh in the championship standings, 85 points behind the leader, Anderson decided to concentrate on his health.
'After sitting out Seattle, Jason Anderson has made the decision with the support of his family and Kawasaki to sit out the remainder of the Supercross season to address ongoing health concerns,' Kawasaki Racing announced on social media. 'His current plan is to focus on returning to competition for the [Pro Motocross] series fully prepared and ready to compete.
'Monster Energy Kawasaki will continue to attend the remaining Supercross rounds to be in support of Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki and Team Green SMX Next riders.'
Anderson began the season with three podium finishes in the first five races. He failed to crack the top five in his next five appearances with a best result of sixth in Detroit, Michigan.

"I knew to just keep rolling," Brooklyn Anderson said. 0:33 It was a finish to remember for one high school athlete who somersaulted across the finish line at the Oregon School Activities Association State Track and Field Championships -- and came out on top, to boot. Brooklyn Anderson somersaulted twice at the end of her 100m hurdles event last month, despite tripping on the last hurdle. The Thurston High School junior ended up winning the race in 14.93 seconds. Anderson's eye-catching move was caught on video by the NFHS Network on May 31. The student-athlete initially started in the fourth lane, alongside the rest of the group, but started peeling away from the pack within seven seconds. After knocking the last hurdle, Anderson didn't slow down and swiftly transitioned into two somersaults as she crossed the finish line. "All I remember is resorting back to my gymnastics career and just somersaulting over that line," Anderson said in an interview after the race, Oregon Live reported. "I wasn't sure how far back everybody else was behind me, so I knew to just keep rolling, to keep going, because I really wanted to get first."

Motocross 2025 250 results, highlights, finish at Thunder Valley: Chance Hymas sweeps
For the third consecutive race, a rider swept the moto wins as another finished second in both, but in a twist, it was Chance Hymas with the pair of wins on his way to the overall victory at Thunder Valley Motocross Park in Lakewood, Colorado. In addition to sweeping the motos, Hymas was fastest in both qualification sessions, holeshotted both motos, and led every lap of the round to score a perfect weekend. This was his second overall Pro Motocross victory, and it was starkly different from his first, when Hymas finished 4-1 last year in the RedBud Nationals, narrowly beating Ty Masterpool. The box score showed Deegan 45.677 seconds behind Hymas at the end of Moto 1, but that does not tell the whole story. At the halfway point, Deegan posted his fastest lap of the race with a 2:13.091, which was 1.5 seconds quicker than the leader, Hymas. He continued to close the gap until he had the leader in sight, but there was a cost to that speed. Deegan's bike began to smoke, and he nearly fell into the clutches of Garrett Marchbanks and Masterpool on the final lap. Deegan finished second in Moto 2 as well for second overall. After finishing eighth in Moto 1, Levi Kitchen did not believe he had a shot at the overall podium. He admitted as much in the post-race news conference, but riders dig deep when they are challenged, and Kitchen scored a hard-fought third-place finish in Moto 2. Relive Moto 1 On the opposite side of the coin, Marchbanks must have liked his chances for the overall podium after finishing third in Moto 1. As well as that race treated him, Moto 2 was the polar opposite, and Marchbanks replicated his teammate Kitchen's first race effort of eighth. Despite earning the same number of points, Marchbanks was pushed back to fourth via the tiebreaker. Every position matters. Tom Vialle demonstrated consistency in both motos, finishing sixth in the first race and fifth in Moto 2. In the closing laps of the second race, he was embroiled in a battle with Jo Shimoda for fourth. Had he secured the position, he would have earned the same amount of points as Kitchen and Marchbanks to secure the overall podium. Shimoda had a tall hill to climb after finishing ninth in Moto 1. His fourth-place finish in the second race elevated him to sixth overall.
