Duchess Sophie, Zara Tindall and Princess Beatrice stun in stylish on-trend dresses for the first day of Ascot - here's where to shop the look on the high street
The royal women were dressed to impress for the opening day of Royal Ascot this afternoon.
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, was a heavy contender for best dressed at Ascot in a flower-adorned lace gown from Marylebone atelier, Suzannah London.
She completed the look with a peach rose-adorned headpiece from Jane Taylor and a coordinating bag from Sophie Habsburg.
Zara re-wore a custom Rebecca Vallance sky blue dress featuring lace floral embellishment on the décolletage and billowing short sleeves which we first saw at the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions Race Day earlier this year.
Beatrice, the eldest daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York, stepped out in 2025's best fashion trend, styled by Olivia Buckingham.
The 36-year-old, debuting her new blonder-than-ever hair, was seen in an Arabella pink and white gingham tweed skirt suit featuring a peplum-style top and A-line skirt.
She paired this with a white Anya Hindmarch clutch, nude Jennifer Chamandi heels and jewellery by Anoona.
These day dresses are perfect for events like the races and can be found in a variety of shapes and styles.

King and Queen welcome Peter Phillips' girlfriend to Royal Ascot
The King and Queen enjoyed a day at the races as they welcomed the girlfriend of the Princess Royal's son to the royal fold. Charles and Camilla hosted guests in the royal box on the first day of Royal Ascot including the King's nephew Peter Phillips and his partner, NHS nurse Harriet Sperling. She made an appearance for the first time in the carriage procession the royal family make onto the famous Berkshire racecourse to signal the start of the day. The royal procession is celebrating its 200th anniversary, a tradition begun during the reign of George IV in 1825 when the monarch was accompanied by the Duke of Wellington. The King and Queen rode in the first carriage with Prince Faisal, a member of the Saudi royal family, and Lady Sarah Keswick, one of the Queen's official companions. Behind them travelled the Princess Royal with Camilla's sister Annabel Elliot and the Duke and Duchess of Wellington and they were followed by a coach carrying Anne's son Peter Phillips and his girlfriend. Other royals spotted among the crowds included Princess Beatrice and her mother Sarah, Duchess of York and Zara and Mike Tindall. The head of state and his wife have continued Queen Elizabeth II's close association with the Berkshire race meet but they had no luck with the sport of Kings when their horse Reaching High was well beaten in the Ascot Stakes. The late Queen was a passionate owner and breeder of thoroughbreds and had more than 20 Royal Ascot winners during her 70-year reign. Charles and Camilla have taken on her stable of horses and enjoyed their first Royal Ascot winner in 2023 when their horse Desert Hero triumphed in the King George V states.

Three ways to keep your pooch looking great without a trip to the grooming salon
YOU can spend a small fortune pampering your dog at a pet-grooming salon. Some owners fork out thousands for this but you can keep your pooch looking great for a whole lot less money. Here's how . . . ALWAYS BRUSHING: If your pet has longer hair, you should regularly brush its coat, according to Megan Roberts, manager and head groomer at London dog salon Mon Joli Chien, which offers pups luxury facials and paw-cures among its services. She says: 'This is the most effective way to manage shedding, prevent painful matting and distribute those essential natural oils that keep their coat gleaming.' Make sure you choose the right brush for your dog's coat type. You can choose from a slicker brush, pin brush or rake. Just a few minutes of brushing can make a world of difference. CLEAN UP: When your four-legged friend ends up mucky, you can get them squeaky-clean without pricey products. Megan says: 'Skip the expensive wipes and sprays and opt for a warm, damp washcloth for quick clean-ups. 'Coconut oil isn't just for cooking, it's a fantastic paw balm and a safe, effective moisturiser for their coat and skin. 'Repurpose an old comb for gentle de- tangling, and use a soft toothbrush to keep those teeth in tip-top shape.' NAILED IT: You should make sure your dog's claws are kept trim or they can cause discomfort and other issues. I was stunned when I got my dog back from the groomer - I think he might have been switched in the shop Invest in a good pair of nail-clippers and you can do it yourself at home, advises Megan. You can ask a vet or dog groomer for a demonstration or even look on YouTube for an online tutorial. Trimming hair at home is very tricky. If you choose to try it yourself, Megan says: 'Take your time, use blunt-nosed scissors or clippers with appropriate guards, and prioritise safety above all else.' Miley Cyrus puts on a wild display in a leopard print mini dress as she cheerfully greets fans in Paris
Miley Cyrus showed off her chic sense of style as she happily greeted fans during an outing in Paris on Tuesday. The pop legend, 32, flashed a cheerful smile as she took time to sweetly talk to fans and take photos. She turned heads in a long-sleeve knitted leopard-print mini dress adorned with a dramatic feather collar. Miley paired the bold look with white lace stockings and elevated her height with a pair of sleek white heels. The Grammy-winning singer carried her essentials in a chic black Valentino bag and completed the ensemble with a bouncy blowout. Later in the evening, Miley wowed once again as she stepped out in a long-sleeve black dress. The stunning ensemble was adorned with rhinestones arranged in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. She paired the striking look with black stockings and classic black court heels as she greeted fans outside the Hilton Hotel. The star completed her ensemble with a sleek pair of Céline sunglasses and kept her accessories to a minimum. The outing comes after Miley unpacked a decade's worth of family drama and trauma and revealed how she mended all of her fences. The star was born in the spotlight, the daughter of country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, who found fame herself at a young age as star of the Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. She grew up to be a global pop star in her own right, though she revealed on last Tuesday's episode of Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky, her road to fame was filled with family strife. She teased the whole family went through a, 'really difficult, dark decade' but they were able to get through it. Miley revealed on the podcast - which also featured the singer explaining what WAP is to the 51-year-old Lewinsky - that the family was able to mend their fences without therapy. Miley paired the bold look with white lace stockings and elevated her height with a pair of sleek white heels 'We're so messy, we didn't even do any of that,' Miley joked of her family struggles, revealing the reason a therapist wasn't involved. 'Just to get each other into a room to get to counseling would have been a war,' Miley admitted. She told Lewinsky that at one point of the 'dark decade,' half of her family members were not speaking to each other. Miley admitted she, 'had a lot of loyalty' to her mother Tish, who split with father Billy Ray back in 2022 after nearly 30 years of marriage and sharing Miley, Braison, 31 and Noah, 25. Before their official split and divorce that was finalized in 2023, Miley said that her parents were on-and-off, as she revealed how that affected her. '(I) watched what happens when you don't clean things up as they're happening,' Miley admitted. 'They really do stack. And then all of the sudden you go, "Oh my God, it's been 10 years and this is a mess I barely even know how to start. This is emotional hoarding,"' she admitted. Ultimately, the singer, 'cleaned all that up,' during a, 'really important part of [her] year … putting those lines of communication back together.' 'I just kind of busted through the pile that stacked and just [went], "I'm here, you're here, let's start by having a good time together and then as we start bringing some happiness and joy into each other's life, then we'll be in a better place to have these conversations,"' she admitted. She also admitted it, 'was easier to (wave) a white flag' than go through counseling with someone else. The singer added she likes others to decide they, 'like the way she's functioning' and attempt to 'mimic' it. She will be addressing the family drama more directly on her forthcoming album, teasing that a song called Secrets. Miley said the song is about her wanting her dad, 'to feel safe enough to tell [her] the things that were damning and damaging to the family.'
