'For 125 years the Salvation Army has had a very active connection to the Australian Defence Force, with members of that incredible organisation being there to offer not just spiritual support but more importantly a form of Aussie mateship,' Mr Murray said.
'The Albanese government through its department of defence has made a decision and that is to effectively cut the funding of this program.'
