High Noon on the Square kicks off 30th season with music, burgers and community spirit
The Potter County courthouse lawn came alive Wednesday as High Noon on the Square returned for its 30th season in downtown Amarillo. More than 450 people gathered to enjoy live music from Ed Montana and a sizzling lunch courtesy of the Coors Cowboy Club, which grilled more than 400 hamburgers for the crowd.
'The lawn is beautiful. It's full of kids and pets and families — just like we love to see it,' said Beth Duke, executive director of Center City of Amarillo. 'Everybody's enjoying downtown.'
The summer series continues every Wednesday through July, with next week's musical guest set to be Buster Bledsoe.

Sean "Diddy" Combs Trial Week 5: Defense Requests Second Mistrial
Originally appeared on E! Online Sean 'Diddy' Combs is back in court. The 19th day of the rap mogul's sex trafficking trial resumed June 9 following his defense team's second request for a mistrial, according to NBC News reporters in the courtroom. Over the weekend, attorney Alexandra Shapiro filed a motion viewed by E! News, in which she argued that his ex Cassie Ventura and her friend Bryana Bongolan of lying about the latter being dangled from a 17th-floor balcony in 2016 by Combs. His defense team—whose first motion was denied by Judge Arun Subramanian May 28—accused the prosecution of 'misconduct' with the 'introduction of perjured testimony.' The prosecution will respond to the motion and the judge is set to respond June 10. As the jury awaits the decision, Combs' ex—who is going by 'Jane' during the trial and was identified as 'Victim-2' in the indictment—has returned to the witness box following an emotional testimony about alleged abuse in their relationship. More from E! Online Tony Awards 2025: George Clooney Gives Rare Update on His, Amal's Kids Ella and Alexander Alex Cooper Accuses Her College Soccer Coach of Sexual Harassment Billie Eilish and Nat Wolff Confirm Romance With Steamy Makeout Session 'Jane' said that she felt she had to keep having sex with men for Combs during 'hotel nights'—which were referred to in the indictment and by Ventura and other witnesses as "freak offs"—because she was financially dependent on him. 'My feeling of obligation really started to stem from the fact that my partner was paying my rent,' she told the jury June 6, alleging that if she objected to his sexual requests, 'He would just start saying things like 'If you want to break, that's fine. Do you need, like, three more months in the house? Because I'm not about to be paying for a woman's rent that I'm not even seeing.'' She said that Combs began paying the rent for her home in April 2023, two years into their relationship, and is still doing so after he allegedly proposed a 'love contract' the month before. 'Jane' broke down in tears during her testimony after recalling a 'hotel night' on her birthday, which she specifically requested not to do. 'I just sat there on the couch, got in position to have intercourse, so we could just get it over with,' she told jurors. 'I asked Sean for a condom. Sean was giving me this really bad look. He gave me a dirty look, like shaking his head and said, 'You better not ask for a f--king condom.'' After Combs allegedly handing the escort the condom, she said he was 'so dismissive.' 'He was walking away,' she testified. 'He looked so disappointed while all of this was happening. It made me feel really bad. I just wanted it to be over.' Sydney Sweeney Reacts to Her Used Bathwater Going Viral
Originally appeared on E! Online Sydney Sweeney is soaping up the attention. The Anyone But You star recently made waves—literally—when she announced a partnership with Dr. Squatch for a limited-edition line of bar soaps that include an unusual, key ingredient: her actual bathwater. And in the time since, the collab has made quite the splash online. 'I think it's more fun to see everyone else talk about it,' Sydney admitted to E! News at the premiere of her new film Echo Valley on June 4, adding on how the product came to be, 'I pitched it.' (For more with Sydney, tune into E! News tonight, June 5 at 11 p.m.) After all, as Sydney pointed out in her announcement post, when she first partnered with Dr. Squatch back in December—in a commercial she filmed from a bathtub—fans couldn't get enough. 'You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad…' she captioned her May 30 post. 'So we kept it.' The end result? A teal-colored bar of soap called Sydney's Bathwater Bliss (available June 6). More from E! One such endeavor has been her new Apple TV+ film Echo Valley, where the Euphoria star plays daughter to as the two battle to keep a dark secret hidden. It was a project she said gave her 'so many reasons' to say yes. 'The character, Claire, is such a multi-layered, troubled young woman,' she explained. 'And being able to explore a character that has so many dimensional relationships with their mother, it's fun.' And working opposite such a powerhouse like Julianne, which Sydney described as 'such a dream,' was an added perk. 'She is beyond kind,' the Euphoria actress gushed. 'Like one of the kindest human beings I've ever met.' Echo Valley premieres on Apple TV+ June 13.
