Indianapolis Colts' OTAs: The big question at tight end
The Indianapolis Colts will begin Phase III of the offseason programs on May 28th, which means the start of voluntary Organized Team Activities (OTAs).
Rather than only doing individual drills as the Colts have been doing, they will now be permitted to do 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 team drills, although no live contact is allowed.

So with this important part of the offseason schedule about to begin, I wanted to highlight one big question facing each position group. Up next are the tight ends.
Below you can find our previous position previews.
All eyes will be on Indianapolis Colts' rookie tight end Tyler Warren
Okay, so that's not much of a question. I suppose one could be, how big and quick of an impact can Warren make as a rookie?
The Colts haven't had a tight end eclipse 500 receiving yards in a season since 2018. In fact, when combined, the entire Colts' tight end room didn't even hit that mark last season.
Warren can certainly provide a big boost in the passing game. He's coming off a 2024 season where he had over 100 receptions and totaled more than 1,200 receiving yards. As GM Chris Ballard discussed after the draft, Warren can be particularly impactful over the middle of the field, where his combination of size and athleticism makes him a difficult matchup.

However, with that said, Warren's impact is going to go beyond just the passing game. He comes to the NFL as a capable run blocker, and his versatility allowed him to fill a variety of roles at Penn State, which included lining up in the backfield at times.
'This is a big man now," said area scout Chad Henry via the Indy Star. "We have a hard time, anymore, finding guys that size (at tight end), because you're looking at a bunch of 230-pound guys that are basically an extra receiver. This guy happens to be an extra receiver who can knock the crap out of people, both on the line of scrimmage and in space."
When an offense has a do-it-all presence at the tight end position, it adds some unpredictability to that unit because that player can shoulder a number of responsibilities, so defenses can't easily get a beat on what's coming based on who is on the field or where players are lined up.
This then not only creates opportunities for Warren to exploit, but for his teammates as well.

Like any incoming rookie, there will be a learning curve for Warren, but he's in a position to make some noise right away, and that impact can go beyond just his column on the stat sheet.

Report: Patriots have no plans to release Stefon Diggs
The Patriots have no plans to release wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports. Former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak, who calls Patriots games on the radio, said last week that Diggs' release was 'on the table' for the team. The uncertainty about the four-time Pro Bowler's future began when a viral video showed Diggs providing a baggie of pink powder to two women on a boat. Diggs was back with the Patriots at the team's organized team activities Monday. He tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in an Oct. 27 game against the Colts while playing for the Texans. The Patriots still signed Diggs to a three-year, $69 million deal this offseason. Diggs, 31, had six consecutive 1,000-yard seasons before playing only eight games last season.

Will Caitlin Clark play for Indiana Fever against Washington Mystics on 6/3/25? Prediction, TV, injuries
The Indiana Fever are mighty thin as they host the Washington Mystics on Tuesday, June 2. Indiana (2-4) is missing three guards, including star Caitlin Clark, and has just eight players available. The Fever used a hardship exception to add four-year veteran guard Aari McDonald. The Fever have lost three straight games, one of those to the Mystics (3-4) in Washington. The Mystics' only recent win is last week's 83-77 victory over the Fever. Brittney Sykes had 21 points and 9 rebounds, while rookies Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron combined for 29 points and 15 rebounds. Chloe Peterson is your best Fever follow, and sign up for our Caitlin Clark Fever newsletter. 7 p.m. ET Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis Chloe Peterson, IndyStar: Mystics 78-70 "The Fever have lost three straight games (including one to the Mystics and another to the then-winless Sun), and it won't get easier anytime soon. "Indiana is 0-2 with Caitlin Clark, the heartbeat of its offense, on the sideline with a quad strain. Two backup ball-handlers, Sydney Colson and Sophie Cunningham, are likely out after suffering injuries against Connecticut. "Washington, on the other hand, seems to be on a roll. Its 2025 rookies, Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron, are each compiling early Rookie of the Year campaigns, and the Mystics have been a surprise. "Washington already beat Indiana, 83-77, a week ago, and that was with Cunningham and Colson playing. Washington is physical, fast, and healthy, and the Fever are at an early low point in the season." Fever: Caitlin Clark (quad) is out. Sophie Cunningham (knee) and Sydney Colson (leg) are doubtful. Mystics: Georgia Amoore (ACL) is out. Fever second-year guard Caitlin Clark is out with a left quadriceps injury. She dealt with a similar injury during preseason, but team officials say this one is different. Fever coach Steph White added that she does not know the specific strain of Clark's injury. Based on her reevaluation timeline of two weeks, however, it is likely a Grade I or II strain. A Grade I strain is mild and only involves a small number of muscle fibers, according to the Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Centre, and there is usually pain and tightness but no loss of function. It usually takes two weeks to recover from a Grade I strain. A Grade II strain is slightly more serious, where there would be some loss of function, and that typically takes 4-6 weeks for a full recovery. In four games this season, Caitlin Clark averaged 19.0 points, 9.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals, making 31.4% of her 3-pointers.
