Senior sport enjoyed at Izotsha

The Citizen24-05-2025

Izotsha Primary is working hard at balancing the demands of the full academic programme, with those of sport.
Senior sport was played against Suid-Natal during the week and Suid-Natal hosted an enjoyable winter sports day last Saturday in which the hockey, netball and rugby teams participated.
The weather played its part in ensuring that it was a wonderful day for learners and their families.
Good fun was had by all who participated. There was excellent behaviour and good sportsmanship with a number of good wins with pleasing teamwork.

Kaizer Chiefs news: Mako, Monyane, Salum is flirting

Today's Kaizer Chiefs transfer news looks at moves for Thabiso Monyane and Paseka Mako. There's also more on Feisal Salum. Mako and Monyane have ended their stays at Pirates. Meanwhile, Tanzanian playmaker Feisal Salum remains a target. Like a shortfin Mako shark, Paseka is quick, snappy, compact and aggressive. Mako made 26 appearances in the 2024-2025 season. 2020-2021 was arguably his finest campaign, with four assists in 20 league outings. Meanwhile, 34-year-old Deon Hotto faces an uncertain long-term future. Innocent Maela has left the club, so Pirates are looking a little short at left-back. Pirates find their Mako replacement 27-year-old Feisal Salum reposted a teammate's story to his own account, where he appears to be lying in a bed wearing a tracksuit top with Chiefs' colours. Make your own mind up about what this means. The player has 1.7 million followers on Instagram, so this is unlikely to quieten the rumours. Salum chipped in with an impressive 19 goals for Azam FC during the 2023-2024 campaign. That followed a glittering spell with Young Africans, where the talented playmaker collected consecutive trebles. A proven winner, Salum has 41 caps and four goals for his nation. Kaizer Chiefs complete their first signing, and it's in a problem position!

Kaizer Chiefs have moved quickly to address a relatively weak area in their squad. Can he make them a better side? Thabiso Monyane leaves Orlando Pirates after being promoted to the senior side six years ago. Paseka Mako and Innocent Maela have also ended their time with Pirates. Kaizer Chiefs have completed a deal to sign 24-year-old Thabiso Monyane 'SABC Sport broke the news last week that Amakhosi had been offered the chance to sign the player, and this website has it on good authority that a deal has been reached between the two parties,' an IDiski Times report stated. Orlando Pirates sign replacement for Kaizer Chiefs-bound Paseka Mako Feisal Salum reposted a teammate's story to his own account, where he appears to be lying in a bed wearing a tracksuit top with Chiefs' colours. The Zanzibar-born star hasn't replicated last season's form for Azam FC this time around. His last goal for the club came back in December 2024, and his side sits third in the Tanzanian Premier League, a massive 16 points adrift of leaders Young Africans. Chiefs fans, how highly do you rate Monyane? Let us know by leaving a comment below or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211.
