Yoona opens up about working on 'Bon Appetit, Your Majesty'
Ahead of the drama's release, the idol-turned-actress sat down for an interview with

and delved into how she prepared for her role and what she expects from it. Specifically mentioning director
Jang Tae Yoo
, the actress delved into how working on the drama has been a dream come true for her, as she had always wanted to work with him.
She also added on about what pulled her to the role, citing that she found being a chef interesting.
She stated in the interview that, 'I was drawn to the theme of cooking and found the character of
Yeon Ji Young
, who works as a chef, very appealing, so I wanted to take on the challenge'.

Yoona describes her character on screen as someone who speaks their mind and is not afraid of sharing their opinion and judgment with others. She used the words 'charisma, wisdom, and confidence', to describe her character as well, and expressed that she had a lot of fun while filming for the drama.
Talking about the preparation before the production began,
Yoona
revealed that in order to act like a chef in the most authentic way, she spent almost 3 months meeting up with other chefs. She added, 'I met with actual chefs and learned everything from handling cooking tools to the entire cooking process in detail. I also practised cooking in various ways to prepare for the role'.
Adding on to the interview, she also shared that she learned new cooking techniques as well.
'I became more confident in cooking, and while playing Yeon Ji Young, I found myself thinking, 'I can't believe I can do something like this.' It was my most impressive performance', the actress added on.
