Ivanka Trump raises eyebrows as she calls father-in-law Charles Kushner 'dad' in gushing post
Weeks after she jetted off on a lavish vacation with the Kushners, Ivanka Trump has now raised eyebrows by calling her father-in-law Charles Kushner 'dad.'
The First Daughter, 43, took to her Instagram and X, formerly Twitter, accounts to congratulate Charles after it was revealed that he will now serve as the US Ambassador to France on Tuesday.
'Congratulations, dad. I am proud of you,' gushed Ivanka while reposting the announcement.
Many people on the web were surprised that the blonde beauty referred to her husband Jared Kushner 's father as 'dad,' and some even claimed she was 'disrespecting' her own dad, President Donald Trump.
Her post was quickly flooded with replies from disgruntled fans.
'Charles is your dad?' one X user asked in response to her post.
'Please refrain from disrespecting THE most revered man on Earth aside from God - your biological Father @POTUS,' someone else wrote.
'Who the f**k calls their father-in-law dad?' questioned another person.
'Absolutely insulting to our beloved @POTUS,' a fourth tweet read, while a fifth said, '"Dad." Yikes girl.'
'He is not your dad,' added a different user.
Real estate developer Charles was pardoned by Donald in December 2020 after he plead guilty to tax evasion and making illegal campaign donations.
He was sentenced to nearly two years in prison but only served 14 months.
Late last year, Donald nominated Charles to serve as the US Ambassador to France, writing on social media at the time, 'He is a tremendous business leader, philanthropist, [and] dealmaker, who will be a strong advocate representing our country and its interests.'
Ivanka has certainly been cozying up to the Kushners as of late.
Last month, she, her husband, and their three kids went on a trip to Costa Rica with Jared's parents, Charles and Seryl Kushner, his brother, Joshua Kushner, and Joshua's wife, Karlie Kloss, amongst others.
First Daughter Ivanka has notably taken a step back from politics for her father's second term.

From 2016 to 2020, and alongside Jared, Ivanka was among the most influential figures in Trump's White House, despite having no previous political experience.
She served as a top advisor to her father, giving up her life as a socialite and fashion designer, and moving her young family from New York City to DC.
But after Trump lost the 2020 election, 'Javanka' broke ranks and decamped to a $24 million mansion in Miami to lick their wounds.
Those in the know say Ivanka is now solely focused on her role as a mother, rebuilding her socialite credentials... and earning back the friendship of celebrity pals who abandoned her during the first Trump administration.
When Donald announced he was running again in 2022, Ivanka revealed that she would be stepping away from politics this time around to instead focus on her family.
Since leaving politics behind, she has enjoyed an extremely jet-set and lavish lifestyle, and she is often spotted setting out on glamorous getaways.
Back in January, she spoke to The Skinny Confidential about how she plans to help her dad during his presidency.
'I'm most looking forward to just being able to show up for him as a daughter and be there for him, to take his mind off things and like watch a movie with him or watch a sports game, to know that he can be with me and be himself, and just relax,' she said.
'It's the world's loneliest position, the enormity of the decisions you're making on a daily basis, how transactional everyone is with you,' she added. 'So it's a very lonely perch.'

The best wines to buy from M&S this summer
Between the cyber attacks and fashion editors eulogising about the summer collections, M&S has barely been out of the headlines this year. Food sales are strong, but what is going on with M&S wine? Earlier this spring, I went to the retailer's head office in Paddington to taste some 90 samples from its current drinks range and came out with mixed impressions. Here's what I thought. The first point to make is that the bottles you're inexorably bowled towards by in-store displays, especially in travel hubs, aren't the wines that M&S does best, even if it does sell a lot of them. I'm not a fan of the somewhat sickly Bellante Prosecco and not just because the name reminds me of an unprintable insult rather than a character in Handel's opera Almira. The M&S Garganega Pinot Grigio 2024, Italy (£7), which apparently sells by the bucketload, is made by the very good Cantina di Monteforte and is perfectly fine, though rather sweet (it has more than 6g/litre of residual sugar). My tip? If you like pinot grigio, go to Morrisons and buy Gordon Ramsay Pinot Grigio 2024, Italy (11%, Morrisons, £7.50; also Tesco, £8.75 and still worth that price), which is also made by Cantina di Monteforte but which is dry, peachy and delicious. Back at M&S, other classical styles, such as the Corsican Rosé at £8.50 or the Classics No 14 Spanish Albariño (£13), err on the side of anodyne, which is often my experience of wines at M&S tastings. Strangely, perhaps, for a retailer with a reputation for excelling at basics such as plain cotton knickers and men's crew-neck sweaters, the wines that shine at M&S aren't the ones I might usually look for, they're the ones I didn't know I wanted in my life. A new star to look out for is a beautiful white from the Dão and Lafões regions of Portugal with a slightly textured feel, like pear juice mingled with woody herbs and run through with a salty charge of preserved lemon. That's M&S Found Encruzado 2024, Portugal (12.5%, M&S, £8.50), which is due in stores on June 11. It's fresh enough to drink as an aperitif but it does have good backbone and will sit well with food. Snackwise, I'm matching this with paprika Pringles. Dinnerwise, its combination of texture and tang would be good with the fatty succulence of pulled pork, while its citrus and herbal notes work well with rosemary-and-lemon chicken kebabs. The encruzado is part of an M&S range called Found, dedicated to unusual and little-known grapes, and it's under this label that you will find many of the retailer's best wine buys – and I say this as someone extremely wary of novelty for novelty's sake. Among the Found wines I'd recommend are Feteasca Alba (£7.50) from Romania (also due in stores on June 11), orange Verdil from Spain, and Found Kratosija 2024, Macedonia (13%, M&S, £8.50), a vivid, berry-scented unoaked red that is a cracking buy. My theory is that the apparently cautious approach that leaves me wanting more from some M&S wines is a blessing when it comes to grapes that might otherwise be too challenging. Many Found wines take unfamiliar flavours and wrap them into a wine that is interesting enough but, crucially, approachable and good value – the same approach the food hall has taken for many years. That's not to say Found represents the only wines I'd buy from M&S: other star buys include a cava, an English bacchus and a smoky red from South Africa, all of which you'll find recommended below. Putin pummels Ukraine's second city as missiles, drones and bombs rain on Kharkiv - killing two as Trump says attack is the Ukrainians' fault
Russia pummelled Ukraine again overnight as missiles, drones and bombs rained down on the country's second largest city Kharkiv. At least two people were killed and dozens were wounded in the attacks which US President Donald Trump has since blamed on Ukraine. More than 40 explosions were heard as Kremlin forces unleashed 48 kamikaze drones plus six aerial bombs and missiles on Kharkiv just before dawn today. A 26-year-old woman who was trapped under a slab of concrete was eventually freed three hours after the strike, and was seen being stretchered to an ambulance. Eighteen multi-storey buildings and 13 private houses were also hit and damaged. Speaking on board Air Force One, Trump said Ukraine had provoked Vladimir Putin with Operation Spiderweb which disabled dozens of his nuclear strike aircraft. 'They gave Putin a reason to go and bomb the hell out of them last night,' Trump said. 'That's what I didn't like. When I saw it, I said, "Here we go, now it's going to be a strike".' Kharkiv's mayor has described last night's assault as the 'most powerful attack' on the city since the start of the war. 'Kharkiv is currently experiencing the most powerful attack since the beginning of the full-scale war,' Igor Terekhov posted on Telegram. 'As of now, at least 40 explosions have been heard in the city over the past hour and a half,' he wrote at 4.40am local time. Two people were killed and 17 wounded, the mayor said. A woman was also pulled alive from the rubble of a high-rise building. Kharkiv regional Governor Oleg Synegubov said the wounded included two children. 'Medical personnel are providing the necessary assistance,' he wrote. The northeastern city was already reeling from an attack on Thursday that wounded at least 18 people, including four children. In the western city of Lutsk, near the Polish border, rescuers on Saturday discovered a second fatality from the previous day's strikes, describing the victim as a woman in her 20s. The aerial bombardments come days after Ukraine launched a brazen attack well beyond the frontlines, damaging nuclear-capable military planes at Russian air bases and prompting vows of revenge from Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukraine has been pushing for an unconditional and immediate 30-day truce, issuing its latest proposal during peace talks in Istanbul on Monday. But Russia, which now controls around one-fifth of Ukraine's territory, has repeatedly rejected such offers. In other overnight strikes, Russia hit Pavlohrad in Dnipropetrovsk, along with Odesa, Poltava, and Vinnytsia regions. Footage showed brutal multiple strikes on Ternopil, the second night in succession it was targeted. Russia was forced to close two major airports in Moscow - Domodedovo and Zhukovsky - amid drone threats. The city's mayor Sergei Sobyanin said: 'The Defence Ministry's air defence forces shot down four drones that attacked Moscow. 'Emergency services are working at the site of the debris fall.' Russian forces alleged a Ukrainian drone had been shot down near the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant in Kurchatov, Kursk region. Ukrainian drones also targeted Ryazan and western city Smolensk, according to reports.

However, in February this year, the case was dismissed, according to a legal filing submitted in New York. At the time Jay Z denied the accusations via a post on social media, in which he wrote: 'My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims Jay Z statement What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
