Peddler held, drugs worth Rs 7.6 lakh seized
The arrested man was Rajikul Hoque, a labourer from Maldah (D), West Bengal. According to police, Rajikul had earlier migrated to Hyderabad and worked as a mason. After a few days, he returned to his hometown and started working as a labourer to support his family. Facing financial difficulties and unable to manage his household expenses, he came into contact with one Mojibur Mistri, a resident of Mojampur, Maldah who is absconding, who is known to be involved in drug supply. Mojibur convinced him that drug dealing was highly profitable. 'In an attempt to overcome his financial problems, Rajikul Hoque purchased 50 grams of Amphetamine and travelled to Hyderabad with the intention of selling it to drug users,' said Ande Srinivasa Rao, Addl. DCP commissioner Task force.
While he was waiting near Line Bazar Masjid, Chilkalguda, Hyderabad, to sell the drug, he was apprehended by the police and found in possession of the contraband.

Arunachal cops recover 16 stolen vehicles, 5 held
Itanagar: In a blow to interstate vehicle theft syndicate, police have recovered 16 stolen vehicles taking the total vehicles recovered to 73 and arrested five accused, including four habitual offenders, an official said on Thursday. A suo-motu FIR was registered at Itanagar Police Station and a special investigation team (SIT) was constituted by Itanagar superintendent of police Jummar Basar. The SIT was headed by Itanagar sub-divisional police officer Kengo Dirchi and Itanagar police station officer in-charge K Yangfo. The vehicles were recovered through extensive technical surveillance and analysis and simultaneous dedicated field operations, Dirchi said. MP teen dies by suicide after losing money in online game
Bhopal: A 17-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a train on Tuesday evening apparently upset over losing Rs 35,000 in an online game, police said. Body of Vikas Rawat of Gwalior district of MP was discovered in a mutilated state on the railway tracks near the goods warehouse in Dabra yard. Prior to the incident, Vikas had parked his motorcycle on the down main line. Police stated that he had spoken to his family by phone shortly before the incident, informing them that he would return home, but he never did. Initially considered a routine suicide case, the investigation on Wednesday uncovered that the teenager had incurred significant losses in an online game. The specific game has not yet been identified. Authorities have seized his mobile phone for forensic examination. Vikas, whose father is a farmer, had completed his Class 12 exams this year, according to police. Vikas was the only son, with two sisters. His cousin operates an online kiosk in the village where Vikas frequently spent time, leading to his developing a gaming addiction, police reported to local media. On Sunday, he borrowed Rs 30,000 from a villager, believed to be part of the amount he lost online. Investigations are on. Historysheeter held with brown sugar worth 1L
Indore: The crime branch of Indore police arrested a historysheeter on Thursday for possessing brown sugar worth around Rs 1 lakh in the international market. Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya stated that, acting on directions from senior officials to curb drug trafficking in the city, the team was conducting surveillance and checking suspicious individuals when they spotted a man near Dhan Mandi on Chhota Bangadda Road, who became nervous on seeing police. He was intercepted and identified as Vinod Jadhav, 24, a resident of Deodharam, Gandhi Nagar, behind the government school. During interrogation, Jadhav admitted to being addicted to drugs and confessed to buying narcotics at lower prices and selling them at higher rates to addicts in Indore. Police recovered 11.75 gram of brown sugar from his possession. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused has a criminal record with over a dozen cases registered against him in the past. A case has been registered at the crime branch under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act, and further legal action is underway.
