England: Lionesses handed major Leah Williamson injury boost ahead of semi-final
All 23 members of the England squad, including Williamson, took part in a training session on Monday morning in Zurich.
Williamson was substituted in the first half of extra time after rolling her ankle during last Thursday's dramatic quarter-final against Sweden, when England fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2 before prevailing on penalties to reach the last four.
The 28-year-old underwent a medical assessment with the Lionesses' team doctors at their Zurich base camp on Friday before being passed fit to train on Monday.
Speaking on Saturday, fellow defender Esme Morgan said: 'We are very optimistic that Leah will be available [against Italy]. She seemed in very high spirits this morning, and I want what's best for the team and that's absolutely having our captain on the pitch for us.
'I'm going to be prepared to play if I'm needed. I'll know the role and just be absolutely ready to train at a high level over the next few days, but we're very optimistic Leah will be fine.'
Williamson was seen wearing a protective boot and using crutches after the Sweden match on Thursday, but this was said to be just a precaution.
England's semi-final against Italy on Tuesday evening takes place at Geneva's Stade de Genève.

Charlton Athletic sign midfielder Fitzgerald
Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of midfielder Lucy Fitzgerald on a free transfer. The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website earlier today. It has been reported that the player has signed an initial one-year deal with the South East Londoners. Fitzgerald joins Charlton Athletic after leaving former club London City Lionesses earlier this summer. The midfielder built legendary status with The Pride after being one of the club's pioneers. Fitzgerald was a member of the original Millwall Lionesses club before TUPE transferring to London City Lionesses following their formation in 2019. The player went on to make 115 appearances for The Pride in all competitions, scoring six goals. Despite London City Lionesses' rapid growth over the last 18 months, Fitzgerald continued to remain part of the first team. She increased her own personal standards throughout the club's transition. The midfielder celebrated winning promotion with London City Lionesses back in May. On the international stage, Fitzgerald was on England's radar in her youth. She featured for The Young Lionesses at Under-19 level. Fitzgerald is Charlton Athletic's sixth signing of the summer transfer window. The Addicks have been very active in the transfer market in the last couple of weeks.

Not just Sesko – Fabrizio Romano names three other strikers on Man United shortlist
Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United's interest in Benjamin Sesko, but he insists that the latter isn't the only striker wanted by INEOS. The Premier League giants have been working on revamping their attacking department this summer. They have already signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, from Wolves and Brentford, respectively. However, their new-look frontline would remain incomplete without a top-notch centre-forward, especially based on Rasmus Hojlund's struggles last season. However, the club has found little joy in this mission. They began their summer by missing out on Liam Delap who instead declared for Chelsea, while Viktor Gyokeres is on the cusp of joining Arsenal. Therefore, Man Utd are still searching the market for a new No.9 whose identity has yet to be unveiled, albeit Sesko's name has been in the mix for quite some time now. Sesko is an in-demand forward. (Photo by) Benjamin Sesko wanted at Man United In the latest video update posted on his official YouTube channel, Romano revealed that United are well and truly interested in Sesko, thus confirming what has been reported in recent days. However, the Italian journalist insists that the club has yet to submit a concrete offer. The 22-year-old Slovenian has been highly impressive for RB Leipzig since making the move from their sister club RB Salzburg in the summer of 2023. He found the net on 27 occasions in 63 Bundesliga appearances. However, the German side is requesting at least €80 million to part ways with the bomber. Man Utd reflecting on Sesko, Watkins, Jackson & Vlahovic Therefore, Man Utd continue to keep tabs on several other options. As Romano explains, the club has had internal discussions over Sesko, as well as Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson. Moreover, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has been offered to the Old Trafford outfit. Therefore, it remains to be seen how INEOS will decide to proceed on this front, but one would imagine that the next weeks will feature some interesting twists and turns.
