Eagles' A.J. Brown proposes, with assist from John Legend
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown earned one ring earlier this year and gave away another over the weekend.
Brown, 27, announced Sunday that he proposed to his girlfriend, Kelsey Riley, at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. In attendance on Saturday were several teammates, friends, family and Grammy Award winner John Legend to serenade Riley on piano with "All of Me."
Riley, however, posted on social media that she did not "hear a thing he was singing," and Brown had to note that Legend was there.
Legend made sure all parties will remember that he, indeed, was in attendance.
"Congratulations to you both," Legend wrote in the comments of Brown and Riley's joint post. "Thank you for including me."
Love apparently is in the air in "The City of Brotherly Love," as two-time All-Pro Lane Johnson recently announced his own engagement to Kelsey Holmer. Star quarterback Jalen Hurts also recently was married to Bry Burrows.
Brown, Hurts and Johnson helped the Eagles defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX in February.

Brown's bail conditions enable him to continue with his scheduled international tour this year and he had fans in stitches with a cheeky quip during his performance last night Chris Brown thanked Manchester 'for the jail' as he took to the stage in the city on Sunday, one month after being arrested over an alleged nightclub bottle attack. On May 15 the 36-year-old was arrested just after 2am at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester. Brown was held on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to music producer Abe Diaw at trendy Tape nightclub in Mayfair, Central London, in February 2023. A Met Police spokesperson said at the time: 'A 36-year-old man was arrested at a hotel in Manchester shortly after 02:00hrs on Thursday, 15 May on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He has been taken into custody where he remains. The arrest relates to an incident at a venue in Hanover Square on 19 February 2023. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit.'' He was released on £5million bail and is next due in court on Friday, but the rapper appeared in great spirits at last night's show despite his legal woes. Brown's bail conditions enable him to continue with his scheduled international tour this year. Following his release on bail, the American singer took to Instagram to tell his 144million followers: "From the cage to the stage!!! Breezybowl." During last night's manchester show he made a cheeky quip during his performance at the Co-Op Live Arena. Chris showcased his muscular arms in a black vest as he told the crowd: "I just want to tell you all, I love you all to death, I am so thankful that I could come out here tonight. Thank you all for having me and supporting me and thank you to the jail, y'all was really nice!" Taking to X fans shared videos from the gig , on wrote: "He was so wholesome tonight, proper cute. Hope he thinks of himself as an honourary Mancunian now (doubt it)." Chris Brown reportedly made the most of his brief time in a UK prison by singing for fellow inmates and expressing heartfelt thanks to one who looked out for him. Insiders say the singer was treated well by other prisoners. 'Sometimes people will be targeted if other inmates know they have money, but they looked after him instead,' a source told T he Sun. 'They know he's famous and also American so not really aware of how prisons work over here.' During evening lockdown, some prisoners reportedly called on him to perform. 'When it was lock up at night-time, some of them were shouting, 'Sing us a song Chris!'' the source said. The singer responded by belting out tunes in his cell, bringing a touch of star power to the prison's halls.

Chris Brown returns to Manchester for first show in city since prison release
It seems Chris Brown was keen to go incognito as he returned to Manchester for the first time since his arrest, later making a triumphant stage comeback on stage despite divided opinions. The American singer was released from prison last month after a second bail application was successful, having previously been detained and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent during an alleged 2023 nightclub bottle attack. Brown, 36, was staying at the five-star Lowry Hotel when police came knocking on May 15. A week later, Southwark Crown Court heard that he had been freed under bail conditions and ordered to pay a £5million security fee guaranteeing his return. It had been uncertain whether the R&B star would be continuing with his tour, which had been due to kick off just days after his release. However, a judge ruled that he was able to, meaning he recently jetted back to the UK for a string of shows. Despite thousands of social media users demanding his gigs be axed, Brown played in the new Co-op Live Arena tonight, where he'll do a second concert tomorrow before heading to Cardiff on June 19. Brown will then return to Manchester for a third show on June 24, which was added due to high demand. The Virginia-born Under The Influence artist was spotted ahead of the show this evening, being shielded by his team, who kept him dry with umbrellas. Brown cut a typically casual figure, wearing a graphic T-shirt and a beanie, plus designer diamond earrings. His face was barely visible as he was papped out in the city, staff also carrying a large board to cover him entirely. However, Brown was more than visible to thousands of paying fans later in the night as he received a warm reception for his Breezy Bowl XX European leg. Taking to X with footage from moments of the show, fans revealed that Brown brought out 50 Cent as a surprise guest. The rapper shared a handshake with Brown before launching into a tune, sending the venue wild. 50 Cent, real name Curtis James Jackson III, previously voiced support for Brown after he had been arrested, so it's perhaps not surprising at all that he was the famous friend he selected for a cameo in Manchester. The In da Club hitmaker, 49, took to his Instagram Story after Brown was denied bail for the first time, sharing a screenshot of a news story detailing the update. His caption read: 'Damn they doing CB dirty, they knew about this case for 2 years. This is gonna muck up the whole tour. WTF going on! @50centaction @bransoncognac.' He isn't the only A-lister to have displayed solidarity with the Grammy winner, as collaborator and long-time friend Justin Bieber has too. When Brown posted his first Insta feed snap after his release, which was a photo of him stepping off a private jet, Bieber commented: 'Welcome home'. After his world tour began, Brown actually made the most of his recent press attention and built it into his production. As reported by the Manchester Evening News, an intro VT to the tour's first night included interview footage from Brown's 2017 documentary Welcome To My Life, which was used alongside snippets from music videos, news stories about his arrest, and even a mugshot. His video was met with rapturous applause from the audience in Amsterdam, with many of his supporters featured in the short film to declare their love for 'Team Breezy,' stating that they always felt he would 'come back stronger'. Brown has made no secret of his feelings about being locked up, having declared in his social media return that he had been freed from a 'cage'. 'FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!! BREEZYBOWL,' he wrote in reference to his upcoming tour shortly after getting his phone back. The Go Crazy singer is accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Abraham Diaw in February 2023. Manchester Magistrates' Court heard last month that Mr Diaw was standing at the bar of the Tape nightclub when he was struck several times with a bottle. More Trending It's alleged that he was then pursued to a separate area of the club where he was punched and kicked repeatedly. Brown, who has maintained his innocence throughout, will next appear with his co-defendant, US national Omololu Akinlolu, 38, in court on June 20. His bail conditions state that he is now not allowed to visit the nightclub where the incident allegedly took place, and he cannot contact Mr Diaw. Got a story? The SFA rule Rangers allegedly breached after John Brown's ‘corrupt' comment revealed as hearing date set
The club denies the rules were breached and now know the date for the hearing into the incident RUN THE RULE The SFA rule Rangers allegedly breached after John Brown's 'corrupt' comment revealed as hearing date set RANGERS have been issued a Notice of Complaint by the SFA over comments made by former player John Brown. And the rule the club is allegedly in breach of has been revealed, as well as the date for the hearing into the incident. 3 Rangers were issued with a Notice of Complaint over John Brown's comments covering a match on Rangers TV Credit: PA:Press Association 3 He blasted the decision not to award Nicolas Raskin a goal against Hibs last month as 'corrupt' Credit: PA 3 The rule that was allegedly breached and the date for the hearing into the incident have both been revealed Credit: Willie Vass The incident occurred during Rangers' final game of the season against Hibs, when Nicolas Raskin thought he had given Gers a 2-0 lead. But referee Nick Walsh didn't award the goal, and 'Bomber' Brown went on an astonishing attack on Scottish football in his role as co-commentator on Rangers TV's coverage of the game. Brown said of the decision: "I would say it's corrupt." Lead commentator Tom Miller replied: "I'm not sure we can actually say that." But Brown continued: "Well I am saying it. "That's a disgrace and it's the worst decision I've seen in all the years I've been in football." The Scottish FA launched an investigation into the commentary afterwards, with the club defending their ex-player, and challenged today's ruling too, insisting that no rules were broken. But a post on the SFA's Disciplinary Updates page confirmed that Rangers were alleged to have breached Disciplinary Rule 38. The rule states in full: "A club or recognised football body which publishes, distributes, issues, sells or authorises a third party to publish, distribute, issue or sell a match programme or any other publication or audio/visual material of any description in any media now existing or hereinafter invented, including but not limited to the Internet, social networking or micro-blogging sites, shall ensure that any such publications or audio/visual material does not contain any criticism of any match official calculated to indicate bias or incompetence on the part of such match official or to impinge upon his character. "There shall be a presumption that any material issued, published, distributed and/or sold in such manner was issued, published, distributed and/ or sold in the name of and/or with the authority of the body bearing to have issued, published, distributed and/or sold the material." Kris Boyd says Rangers players were in SHOCK that 'ghost goal' against Hibs wasn't given The maximum punishment which can be applied if Rule 38 is breached is a fine of £100,000. The date for the hearing has been set for this Thursday, 19 June, with Gers already denying that a breach occurred in a statement blasting the SFA. They said: "Rangers FC has submitted a full response to the Scottish FA's Notice of Complaint concerning a remark made during commentary of the Hibernian v Rangers match at the end of last season. The club firmly denies any breach of Scottish FA rules. "We are surprised that a complaint has been raised at all, given the context of the comment and the Scottish FA's prior treatment of similar incidents. "Our response highlights that the Scottish FA's own Key Match Incident Panel judged that the referee's decision on the day was incorrect, with four out of five panel members agreeing that a goal should have been awarded to Rangers. "That finding helps explain the nature of a spontaneous emotional comment, delivered during a highly charged moment and immediately challenged live on air. "Our response also sets out serious concerns about the Scottish FA's selective enforcement and inconsistency. "We have highlighted multiple examples of similar or stronger remarks made elsewhere in Scottish football that have led to no charges or sanctions. "While we remain committed to maintaining high standards, we will continue to challenge any action we consider to be unfair or disproportionate. "For many supporters, this charge only adds to the wider frustration surrounding regulatory oversight in recent months when there are more serious issues in the game to tackle, including improving officiating standards for the benefit of Scottish football."
