Top Democrat Hakeem Jeffries brutally mocked after getting busted in embarrassing Photoshop fail
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries raised eyebrows on Sunday after posing for a photo in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York.
In the image, the 54-year-old leans against a park bench with his hands in his pockets.
'Home sweet home,' he captioned it, before resharing the post on his Instagram Stories with Lil' Kim's Lighter's Up playing.
However, fans quickly noticed that the bench Jeffries was leaning on was drastically warped around his hips and upper thighs, indicating that the image may have been edited.
'Bro why did you Photoshop your hips? Or are park benches in Brooklyn wavy like that?' one follower commented.
'You've got a terrible social media team, my man. Work on those editing skills,' added a second.
A third wrote, 'How is this post helpful with everything going on in our country.'
Jeffries was also brutally mocked on X, formerly Twitter, including by a number of popular political influencers.
'Hakeem Jeffries is such a charisma black hole that it's warping the fabric of spacetime,' wrote journalist Ken Klippenstein.
'Hakeem Jeffries slimming himself in Photoshop is the most transparency we've seen from Democrats in years,' said Republican commentator Erin Maguire.
'LMAO! Hakeem Jeffries tried to make a super relatable post on his Instagram, but he is so photoshopped everyone noticed the entire BENCH is WARPED,' wrote Florida-based pundit Eric Daugherty.

It comes just days after Jeffries put a few lawmakers to sleep in the House chamber during a marathon overnight session while pushing back against President Donald Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill.'
While Republicans worked to gather the votes necessary for final passage of the massive Trump-backed bill last week, Democrats, led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, deployed delay tactics.
Jeffries took to the floor just before 5am to begin an arduous, hours-long speech about the dangers presented by the GOP legislation.
Social media was ablaze with comments from people calling out the politician's Photoshop job
'I feel the obligation Mr. Speaker to stand on this House floor and take my sweet time,' the Democrat leader proclaimed well into his remarks.
His speech began with stories of Americans who could be impacted by the Trump bill's cuts to Medicaid and social programs.
As of 9.45am, the New Yorker was still droning on while several of his fellow Democrats could be seen behind him with eyes closed and heads folded down.
Despite his enthusiasm for hampering the GOP's plans, his colleagues seemed less excited. In fact, many appeared to be asleep.
'While Hakeem Jeffries continues putting people to sleep with his lies about the One Big Beautiful Bill, we remain focused on delivering historic tax cuts for families and small businesses, secure borders, and energy dominance,' Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks, R-Iowa, wrote on X.
White House Congressional Communications Director Charyssa Parent noted on X: 'Rep. Jeffries has put his own members to sleep.'

"This is a tough one," Trump said during his July 11 trip, kicking off a 47-minute discussion in Kerrville, Texas, with local, state and federal officials. "It's hard to believe the devastation. At one point, Trump gave the microphone to television personality and loyal supporter Dr. Phil, who had a seat at the table. The White House's budget chief told reporters earlier Friday the Federal Emergency Management Agency has the funding to assist in flood recovery efforts even as the Trump administration has talked about eliminating FEMA. Russ Vought, director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, said FEMA has about $13 billion in its reserves to pay for necessary expenses in Texas. "The president has said to Texas, anything it needs it will get," Vought said, adding that, "We also want FEMA to be reformed. We want FEMA to work well ... The president is going to continue to be asking tough questions of all of his agencies." Earlier this week, Noem continued her call for FEMA to be "eliminated as it exists today" to put more control in the hands of local and state authorities. Her push comes as FEMA has deployed hundreds of specialists and distributed supplies to the flooded areas in Texas. Tina Provis has slammed Love Island USA contestant Cierra Ortega's apology for repeatedly using an anti-Asian slur as she calls for people not to 'brush off' instances of 'casual racism'. The Love Island Australia winner, 29, penned a lengthy post to Instagram on Thursday after Cierra, 25, was booted from the Love Island USA villa due to mounting backlash over her use of the slur 'chink' in past social media posts. 'Love Island USA removed a contestant for a racist slur that resurfaced online. Let's talk about why this is important,' Tina began in her post. 'In my experience, Anti-Asian racism has always been quickly brushed off. 'The same people that want to fall back 'but I didn't know it was racist' are the SAME PEOPLE complaining when you make a stand up and point out why something is racist,' Tina said. 'I would never intentionally use any word, especially a slur, to tear down anyone's culture or community. When I used that word, I didn't fully understand what it meant or how much pain it carries.' The backlash against her began earlier this month, when fans discovered two social media posts (from January 2015 and February 2023) in which Cierra had described her own smile as 'chinky' and said that she wanted Botox for her eyes. Tina, who won Love Island Australia in 2021 with her ex-partner Mitch Hibberd and has also starred on I'm A Celebrity! Get Me Outta Here, questioned how Cierra could not have known the meaning of the word. 'If you're calling out an ethnic groups features as undesirable, it is racist,' she wrote. 'If we continue to let comments slide because they 'aren't that racist' or 'they didn't meant to be racist', then we're excusing and encouraging a culture of casual racism.' The Chinese-Australian then revealed how 'insecure' anti-Asian slurs made her feel about her appearance whilst was growing up in Sydney. 'There was a time where my eyes were one of my biggest insecurities, because from an early age I faced casual racism,' Tina said. On Sunday night's episode which streamed on Peacock, narrator Iain Stirling confirmed that Love Island USA contestant Cierra Ortega (pictured) 'left the villa due to a personal situation' and had left Nic Vansteenberghe 'officially single' By the time she was 18-years-old, Tina turned to heavy makeup in attempts to alter her appearance because she'd so often hear friends say they 'looked Asian' if they didn't like a photo of themselves. 'If I was getting dressed up, I never would be seen without dark eyeshadow, attempting to 'hide' my eyelids and I would've screamed seeing a picture of myself like this without false lashes,' she said. Tina also recalled being teased in primary school, including one incident where a male classmate chased her around the playground whilst pulling back his eyelids. 'I've come a long way in becoming confident in my identity and that's why I have these conversations, I want other young people to feel the same,' Tina concluded in her post. However, Tina said she's not surprised by the sheer volume of people defending Cierra online. 'I'm not shocked to see that a lot of people online are defending her, because the slur that she used is "not as bad" as other racial slurs,' she said. 'There are hundreds of comments of people claiming that they didn't even know it was a derogatory comment, which just goes to show how anti-Asian racism is downplayed and tolerated much more than it would be in other communities.' Cierra is the second person to be removed from Love Island USA this season over past remarks, with Yulissa Escobar abruptly outsed for using the N-word in past social media posts.
