Kanye West Posts Rare Video Message to Address Family Beef Rumors: ‘I Just Talked to Travis Barker'
Kanye West is no stranger to controversy, but there's one scandal he apparently wants nothing to do with.
West took to his Instagram Stories this week to call out rapper —whose real name is Danielle Bregoli—for sampling his song in her diss track aimed at Alabama Barker.

Bhabie sampled West and Ty Dolla $ign's hit "Carnival" in her new song "Ms. Whitman," which references her ongoing feud with Barker. (In December 2024, Bhabie accused Barker of stealing her boyfriend, Le Vaughn. Bhabie and Le Vaughn share an 11-month-old daughter, Kali Love).
As West explained, while he did give Bhabie permission to sample his track, he didn't want to get in the middle of her beef with Barker.
"I just got sent a song and asked if I could clear the sample," he said in the video.
"Only reason why I clear anything is because so many people try to stop me, they stop clearances, and everything has been very difficult for me. So I always—anybody asks me, I always clear it," he continued, adding, "But I'm not cool with being put in the middle of all of this at all. So any verse going viral using my voice and all of that, it's like, I didn't do it."

West went on to insist that he was on good terms with Blink-182 drummer , Alabama's dad.
"Yo, I'm not in the middle of none of this AI beef. People throwing my voice on things, the whole 'Carnival' sample," West said. "I just talked to Travis Barker, I would never be in the middle. I don't even know what's going on."
Alabama Barker shared West's Instagram video on her own TikTok video but disabled the comments.
Travis Barker and West are connected through the Kardashian family, as West was married to Kim Kardashian from 2014 to 2022 and Travis is married to Kourtney Kardashian. Travis shares Alabama, 19, with ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.

After he was accused of sexual assault and drug abuse by multiple people, the Newsboys singer spoke out on the allegations, which the accusers said took place between 2004 and 2014. "Recent reports of my reckless and destructive behavior, including drug and alcohol abuse and sexual activity are sadly, largely true," Tait wrote in a statement shared to his Instagram June 10. "For some two decades I used and abused cocaine, consumed far too much alcohol, and, at times, touched men in an unwanted sensual way." The four-time Grammy winner went on to say that he's taking full responsibility for the incidents described in the reports, which were first published by Christian media outlet The Roys Report on June 4. "I am ashamed of my life choices and actions, and make no excuses for them," Tait continued. "I will simply call it what God calls it—sin. I don't blame anyone or anything but myself. I spent six weeks at a treatment center in Utah, receiving help that may have saved my life from ultimate destruction." Alex Cooper's alma mater responds after she accuses college soccer coach of sexual harassment
Days after Alex Cooper accused her former college soccer coach of sexual harassment, Boston University has responded. The host of the popular 'Call Her Daddy' podcast, who made the allegations in a two-part Hulu documentary that premiered Tuesday after screening Sunday at the Tribeca Film Festival, played Division I soccer at the university for three years, during which time Cooper claims coach Nancy Feldman made inappropriate comments about her body and sex life, engaged in controlling behavior and touched her thigh. 'Nancy Feldman was someone I trusted. Someone I believed in. Someone who was supposed to help me grow. Someone who was supposed to protect me,' Cooper wrote Thursday on Instagram. 'But instead she made my life a living hell and abused her power over me.' In the same post, Cooper said she reported the abuse to athletic director Drew Marrochello, who she said ignored her complaints. The university addressed the allegations in a statement obtained Thursday by People and other news outlets. 'Boston University has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We have a robust system of resources, support and staff dedicated to student wellbeing and a thorough reporting process through our Equal Opportunity Office,' the statement reads. 'The minute I stepped on that field, I felt so small,' Cooper said. 'I felt like I was 18 years old again, completely powerless, with no voice.' Cooper said 'everything changed' when she discovered that other women had alleged similar experiences with Feldman. She decided that she needed to speak out after talking to one of the women. 'If a woman in my position, who has power and a platform, is still fearful, is still scared of speaking out about my own lived experience of sexual harassment, how the hell will any other woman feel safe and confident to come forward?' Cooper asked in the episode. Since 'Call Her Alex' premiered, TikTok user @sizzlinghotsarah shared her own experience with Feldman, alleging that the soccer coach harassed her for her sexuality.
