Crashing issues have been a problem since Rainbow Six Siege. However, that hasn't been changed even after it is being upgraded to Rainbow Six Siege X.
As the overhaul update has been released just a few days ago, this issue is apparent. Rest of the game is functioning quite perfectly, but some PC players have reported that the game is getting crashed at random points all of a sudden.
The game freezes suddenly and a pop-up message from Ubisoft flashes on the screen stating the game has crashed and asking the fans to send a crash report to the developers. So, how to fix this issue? Here are some possible measures:
1. Restart your PC
Sometimes heavy games like these need restarting your PC.
This way, the cache files of the games will be cleared and the game will get a fresh start.
2. Update game client and anti-cheat software
Another reason for the failure to run these games is the game client and anti-cheat software getting overloaded. So, uninstalling and then reinstalling them might get this issue fixed.
3. Verify game file integrity
Just like any other game having these issues, verifying game files is the most plausible method to fix the crash issue. By this method, corrupted in-game files will be deleted and new in-game files will be restored.

This option can be found in the game client.
4. Update graphic card drivers
Rainbow Six Siege X can crash because of the outdated drivers of the GPU in your system. So, make sure you are running the latest version of GPU drivers on your NVidia or AMD graphic card. These new drives also come with anti-bug tools, which can essentially eradicate the issue from its root.
5. Close any third-party background app
The game might also get crashed because of the excessive load on the RAM. For example: Google Chrome eats up the majority of the RAM, so you need to disable it completely before starting the game.
Also, make sure to disable any kind of FPS booster software or screen recording software like OBS to fix the issue.
6. Uninstall Ultra HD Texture Pack
Rainbow Six Siege X offers an Ultra HD Texture pack for free from the game client. It does increase the game's visual fidelity but it might come at a cost of the game's stability. So, it is advised to uninstall that pack as well.
7. Send crash report
If none of the above-mentioned options doesn't work, then you should send a crash report to the developers via the pop-up message which you get after the game crashes. You can also reach out to
to check if the issue is actually from your end only.
Despite saying all of these, it is advised to all of the Rainbow Six Siege X fans to stay patient. As this update is absolutely new, it's absolutely normal to have such problems because of the gigantic size of this upgrade. It's believed that Ubisoft will quickly release a patch to fix this persisting crash issues on PC.
