Road cycle club pedalling centenary kit for Saturday's mass ride
Celebrations go up a gear on Saturday with a special anniversary ride from Edinburgh and around parts of the Lothians.
Participants in the 70km route will set off from the Royal Commonwealth Pool at 9.45.
A club statement said: 'ERC's history is a testament to its enduring legacy and commitment to cycling. Founded by CTC members who objected to racing on Sundays, the club has evolved over the decades, embracing various branches of the sport, including road racing, time trials, mountain biking, and multi-sports such as triathlon and duathlon.
'The club has produced numerous Scottish and British champions, with members representing Scotland at the Commonwealth Games.
'Today, ERC boasts a membership of over 500 cyclists and triathletes of all ages, with a strong emphasis on safety and inclusivity. The club's Juniors section, established in 2007, offers young cyclists aged 8-16 the opportunity to enjoy cycling in a safe and supportive environment.
'ERC is proud to have supported riders like Sean Flynn, who is now competing at the World Tour level with Picnic Post-NL, and Lauren Dickson, who recently completed her first World Tour race at the Tour of Britain with the Handsling-Alba team.
'In triathlon we have had heaps of success including multiple age-group World Championships for Penny Rother.'
Euan Munro added: 'We are thrilled to celebrate our 100-year anniversary and look forward to commemorating this special occasion with our members and the community.
'ERC has a proud history and we are excited to continue promoting cycling for generations to come.'

Maro Itoje reveals stance on future Lions tour destinations
Maro Itoje has suggested that he would prefer that the British and Irish Lions keep touring Australia, New Zealand and South Africa rather than stray from tradition and visit elsewhere. The Lions have been to each of the three nations in turn every four years since 1989 and their history visiting each extends back into the 19th century. The touring side's hierarchy have, however, suggested that they are open to considering other options for tours in the future, with the one-sided nature of some of the tour games in Australia this year intensifying speculation that visits to other countries could precede a Test series in the future. France are reportedly in discussions over potentially hosting a game ahead of the women's tour in 2027 and men's tour to New Zealand in 2029, while prominent former players, including ex-Lions scrum half Matt Dawson, have suggested that a full tour of the country should happen. Itoje, though, errs on the side of a traditionalist, and admits that preserving the long history of the Lions is something that appeals to him. 'I thought about this at the beginning of the tour,' Itoje admitted. 'With the three nations [the Lions] tour, there's a strong sense of history and tradition. 'Perhaps the Lions is the last of the traditional organisations in the modern era. Part of me is keen for it to continue to rotate among the three countries it does. 'But, that being said, you have to stay relatively open minded. As it stands, the three nations it tours is pretty good. It wouldn't feel the same if we took a short haul flight. It needs a long haul flight!' This is Itoje's third trip with the touring side with the captain set to make his ninth Test appearance, and eighth start, in the third encounter with the Wallabies in Sydney this weekend. The lock has led the side to his first series victory after a draw in New Zealand in 2017 was followed by a 2-1 defeat in South Africa four years ago. 'It's been without a shadow of a doubt one of the highlights of my career,' Itoje said. 'When I am old and grey these occasions and these tours are going to be one of the experiences, I look back with extreme fondness [on]. 'This is something the players want and the players will continue to want for decades and for as long as rugby is being played. And it's something that I think world rugby wants. I know for each of the southern-hemisphere teams that the Lions tour – Australia, New Zealand and South Africa – it provides a huge sense of excitement for all of those three nations. And it adds an extra bit of spice and intrigue to the Six Nations when it's Lions year. So I am struggling to see the negatives. It is a great occasion, it is a great event and long may it continue.'

Oliver Antman to Rangers transfer hampered by Celtic as Jakob Breum stance made clear by agent
The Glasgow giants are both looking to snap up wingers from the Eredivise outfit this summer Go Ahead Eagles' CEO Jan Willem van Dop had declared that the club will only sell one of Oliver Antman and Jakob Breum this summer. It comes with both Rangers showing interesting in Finnish international Antman - while Celtic have seen bids turned down for Dane Breum already this summer. A fee of around £5million has been reported for Antman after he netted seven goals and an impressive 17 assists to help fire his club to Dutch Cup glory last term. The Eagles are reported to be expecting an offer from the Scottish Premiership side for the 23-year-old. And when speaking to De Oosttribune, Van Dop insisted the club would not sell both of their key men. Asked about interest from the Glasgow giants in Breum and Antman, he responded: "Those are the guys who are in the spotlight. I think one of them will ultimately leave." The comments come after Breum's agent has told the Dutch club his client wants to join Celtic this summer. But the Scottish champions have been warned they must stump up the cash to sign the 21-year-old. The Hoops are in need of reinforcements on the flanks after Nicolas Kuhn joined Como in a £17.2million deal - while Jota is sidelined until next year. Van Dop insists the club won't sell on the cheap - having already knocked back a more substantial bid from FC Twente: "There was a question (from FC Twente), and that was about Jakob Breum. That's negotiable, but only if the price is right. "And we couldn't reach an agreement on that. What I did find positive was that his thoughts were certainly higher than the official offer Celtic ever made. "I've told Celtic that we won't be accepting their offer. I spoke to Breum's agent on the phone Monday morning, and he hopes he'll go that route. "We're certainly not the most difficult club, but it has to be a good fit. "And if we can't reach a financial agreement, we also have the right to say: well, it's not going to happen." Asked if the club had set an asking price in the region of £5.1million, he cryptically added: "We've set a ceiling."
