Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Club Escapade has won the 2025 edition of the ATM Start-up Pitch Battle, which was held in association with Intelak, overcoming stiff competition from some of the region's leading travel innovators and disruptors.
This year's competition received entries from 40 travel start-ups, including finalists ChatDMC, Penguinpass, SparkleHaze (Woohoo), TravStack, and WROXAI.
During the Pitch Battle, Soufiane Alimi, Founder and CEO, outlined how Club Escapade helps hoteliers optimise occupancy during quieter periods while preserving their prestige and brand image. The company offers private, time-limited rates on unoccupied rooms to its Club Members, helping to boost hotel revenues while delivering the ultimate luxury on-demand vacation experience.
Alimi said: 'Club Escapade targets luxury hotels looking to optimise occupancy without compromising their brand prestige, as well as UAE residents and locals who crave premium, on-demand staycations but lack the time to travel. We leverage an exclusive membership model and a weekly drop system, creating excitement around luxury staycations. By curating themed experiences and offering private, time-limited rates, we drive consistent, high-value bookings for hoteliers. Our commission-based model and last-minute filling of the empty rooms ensures hotels generate revenue with zero upfront costs.'
The competition forms an integral part of ATM's commitment to entrepreneurship and connectivity, by inviting start-ups with innovative products, services, and technologies. The competition was open to pre-seed and seed series start-ups.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market said: 'Congratulations to Club Escapade, this year's Start-Up Pitch Battle winner. AI is becoming key tool for potential travelers to Middle East: Report

Mubasher: AI is becoming a key tool for travelers planning trips to the Middle East, with nearly six in 10 have used AI for travel planning and with 21% using it before their most recent trip, according to a recent report by Tourism Economics on behalf of Arabian Travel Market (ATM). With the growth of AI adoption, it is expected to play an increasing role in delivering personalized recommendations and booking experiences for tech-savvy travelers. Moreover, travel firms are harnessing AI to enhance customer service and drive economic impact. The report further indicated that 60% of travelers in the UAE trust AI to plan every aspect of their trips, compared to 48% of travelers in other countries, with this figure predicted to rise as technology becomes more embedded into consumer habits. On the other hand, the rise of AI in the business events (MICE) sector is delivering significant gains in efficiency and insight, with the global meetings and events industry set to reach $945 billion in 2025 and projected to exceed $2.30 trillion by 2032, the need for scalable, intelligent tools has never been greater. Data-led personalization is now critical to driving attendee engagement and loyalty, with AI helping to automate sourcing, translate content in real time, and generate tailored event experiences. Exhibition Director ME, Arabian Travel Market, Danielle Curtis, said: 'When it comes to travel and tourism innovations, the most effective technologies are those that amplify human interactions, improve efficiency and respond directly to customer needs.' 60% of UAE travellers rely on AI to plan trips, human connection remains vital

Post Views: 41 According to a recent report by Tourism Economics on behalf of Arabian Travel Market (ATM), 60% of travellers in the UAE trust Artificial Intelligence (AI) to plan every aspect of their trips, compared to 48% of travellers in other countries, with this figure predicted to rise as technology becomes more embedded into consumer habits. According to the report, AI is becoming a key tool for travellers planning trips to the Middle East. Nearly six in ten have used AI for travel planning, with 21% using it before their most recent trip. As AI adoption grows, it is expected to play an increasing role in delivering personalised recommendations and booking experiences for tech-savvy travellers. The research also confirmed that travel firms are harnessing AI to enhance customer service and drive economic impact. Travel technology is transforming the industry globally, changing the way travellers plan, book, and experience their journeys. In line with the digital transformation within travel and tourism, ATM 2025 provided a platform for experts across the technology, hospitality and events industries to discuss the implications for human connection as AI-powered tools, personalised service platforms, and data-led design become more prevalent. Speaking during the event, Amy Read, VP Innovation at Sabre Hospitality, said: 'It is important to recognise that human connection is at the core of hospitality. When we think about innovation within hospitality, we try to find ways that amplify those key moments, rather than replace them. We want to free up staff time so that they can engage in more meaningful interactions.' Read acknowledged that it is vital for the industry to recognise that technology has changed guests' expectations of hospitality providers as they now seek instant gratification and swift responses. This has led to the development of innovative solutions such as SynXis Concierge AI, which uses generative AI to transform customer service for hoteliers, providing immediate, detailed, and accurate responses to specific queries, reducing the reliance on individual staff knowledge and ensuring consistent, high-quality service around the clock. Other examples include Miral's AI concierge, Majd Al, which is utilised at attractions such as Yas Bay Waterfront and Ferrari World Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The service offers tailored suggestions based on individual preferences, helping visitors maximise their experience.

The Art Of Turning 40: Why We Must Create, Connect And Contribute

Aidan O'Brien, a career coach and keynote speaker working with Fortune 500 companies and global high-growth start-ups shares his philosophy on turning 40, and how to make this the decade you truly take the lead… I believe that when we turn 40, we have reached our 'productive prime' and from ages 35-55, it is our time to truly create and innovate in our lives. In fact, I believe there are three essential things we must do to feel truly aligned, lead effectively, and thrive through 40 and beyond. We must: create, connect and contribute. The 'this is me' myth Sometimes by the age of 40, many have stopped creating and fall into the trapped conclusion of 'Well, this is me.' But it's not you! You can create and innovate at any age, and it's incredibly important to continue creating through 40 and beyond. Entering your fifth decade, you have most likely overcome many challenges and difficulties already. You also have well-earned expertise and at this stage of your professional life you have developed a deep knowledge and skills – things you have learned and mastered far beyond the 10,000 hours. By age 40, you know who you are enough to trust yourself, and if not, it should be a priority to start getting to know yourself now. Connection over confinement For me, 40 is the best time to get back into creative mode and ensure you are still aligned with what you do best and what you enjoy doing most. The connection part takes effort. The first ten years of building businesses and working independently, I found myself becoming less sociable. After more than a decade of being everywhere and doing everything, suddenly I didn't want to be anywhere except home. But luckily my self-awareness is developed enough to know that that type of isolation doesn't serve us, and it definitely won't help us succeed and lead at a high level. The key to success in business are high level relationships or what I call strategic partnerships, so connection is a key part of your ongoing success, not to mention for your mental health and general enjoyment of life – social connection is key. Be of service to others Then the last element – contribution – I believe the secret to greatness is to be of service to others. Early on in our life we are thinking of number one, but no matter what we do, if we want to be great, and if we want to truly create and become a person of influence, we must contribute and be of value to the marketplace. I think these 3 elements – create, connect and contribute – are key philosophies to embody and embrace as leaders, and as we move through 40 and beyond, we are positioned perfectly to lead from the front, and by example. 40 should fuel you. 40 is freedom. 40 is still being young enough to have the energy, attitude and agility to reach and have an impact on the younger audience, and it's also mature enough to be respected by your peers for your experience and expertise. Define your vision An important exercise at 40 is to recheck your vision. By now you have accomplished a lot of what you wanted in your 20's – but where to now? Do you just stay in 4th gear cruising, or do you take inventory of your life and identify areas where you have lost momentum? The law of entropy is when things are left to themselves, they move more and more towards disorder. In other words, if you don't use it, you lose it. What you neglect, neglects you back. So, recreating your vision is a key part of staying invigorated at 40. Setting a clear intention for the next decade – where are you going? Who are you becoming? What do you want to accomplish? 40 is truly the new 25. It's not about slowing down – it's about aligning fully and going full speed. Don't hide from big targets and big dreams What I do with my clients – whether they are senior executives, founders or business owners, is create a vision for a day in the life 3-5 years from now, across all aspects of life. What will excite you? What would the visionary version of you choose? However, beware of the realist creeping in. If you're 40 and a leader, you are already living a visionary life so it's important to not hide from big targets and big dreams. I love helping clients create a vision so big that to achieve it would require them to completely transcend their old self. Because what got you here won't get you there. What got you here won't even keep you here. The world is changing, fast, and your old story won't help you reach your new standards. When designing your day-in-the-life vision, it should be emotionally charged; it should move you. Let yourself be pulled and magnetised by a big vision – that, is what 40 is all about.
