Al Manar21-03-2025

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, delivered a stern warning to the United States, stating that they will achieve nothing by using the language of threat against Iran.
'The Americans should know that they will never get anywhere with threats vis-à-vis Iran,' Imam Khamenei said, addressing a crowd at the Imam Khomeini Complex in Tehran. He emphasized that any adversaries who fulfill their threats against Iran will face severe consequences.

Imam Khamenei's remarks come amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the US, with the Iranian leader accusing Washington of waging a 'psychological war' to distance Iranians from Islamic teachings. He also condemned the 'malicious practices of the merciless Zionist regime,' which he said have 'broken the hearts of many non-Islamic peoples.'
The Iranian leader praised the resilience and courage of the Iranian people, noting that they had demonstrated their strength and unity in the face of various challenges over the past year, including the assassination of prominent figures and economic difficulties.
Imam Khamenei emphasized that 'victory is the ally of truth in the struggle between truth and falsehood,' and that the front of truth will ultimately prevail, despite the price it may have to pay. He expressed confidence that the Iranian people's resistance and steadfastness will lead to the defeat of the country's enemies, including the 'Zionist entity.'
The speech was delivered on the occasion of Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, and was attended by various segments of Tehran's population, as well as political and security officials.

Lebanon FM stresses to Iranian counterpart the need to disarm Hezbollah

Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Raji informed his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, on Tuesday that Hezbollah put his country in a 'difficult situation' when it embarked on more than a year of fighting with Israel in 2023, and stressed the importance of disarming the Tehran-backed terror group. Araghchi met with Raji — a member of the Lebanese Forces party — in Beirut, on his first visit to Lebanon since October last year, when Hezbollah was in the midst of an all-out war with Israel in southern Lebanon. A month later, Beirut and Jerusalem would sign a ceasefire agreement that brought an end to the fighting During the meeting, Raji told Araghchi that recent 'military adventures' — an apparent reference to Hezbollah — had put the country in a 'difficult situation,' the Saudi Al Arabiya news outlet reported. These adventures, Raji told his Iranian counterpart, 'had not contributed to ending the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territory.' When Israel withdrew from southern Lebanon following the deployment of the Lebanese Armed Forces per the terms of the November 2024 ceasefire, it left troops stationed in five strategic hills located several hundred meters inside Lebanon, which it says are necessary to defend Israeli border communities. Six months on from the start of the ceasefire, the Lebanese state has been working methodically to dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure in the south of the country, and is estimated to have seized the majority of the group's weapons stockpile south of the Litani River area. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal last week, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said that his government had achieved 80 percent of its objectives regarding the disarmament of militias in the country's south. 'All over the Lebanese territory, the state should have a monopoly on arms,' Salam told the US outlet, stressing 'the need to extend and consolidate the authority of the state.' Echoing his prime minister on Tuesday, Raji appeared to take a firm stance against allowing Iran's agenda to influence Lebanon's future, telling Araghchi that the country's ability to recover from the recent fighting was tied to Hezbollah's disarmament, Al Arabiya reported. Unprovoked, Hezbollah began attacking military outposts and communities in northern Israel on October 8, 2023, in a show of support for fellow Iranian proxy Hamas in Gaza after its assault on southern Israel a day earlier. The fighting continued for more than a year, including some two months of open war in southern Lebanon, and ended with the ceasefire signed in late November. The fighting displaced over 1 million people inside Lebanon, and caused destruction that the World Bank has said will cost $11 billion in reconstruction. Raji informed Araghchi that 'coordination between Lebanon and Iran should occur through official state channels,' rather than via proxies like Hezbollah, which enjoys Tehran's support, monetary and otherwise, having received billions of dollars and all types of weapons over the years.

Zionist Government Approves Proposal to Expedite Dismissal of Attorney General

The Zionist cabinet approved on Sunday a proposal by so-called 'Justice Minister' Yariv Levin to revise the procedures for dismissing Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, setting the stage for a formal hearing that could lead to her removal. Following the approval, Levin called on government ministers to convene a hearing for Baharav-Miara as part of the dismissal process — a move that further escalates the government's ongoing confrontation with the judicial establishment. Levin first initiated efforts to oust Gali Baharav-Miara in March, circulating a proposal among cabinet members to withdraw confidence in her. He cited 'inappropriate conduct' and 'fundamental, long-standing disagreements' with the government as justification for her removal. Zionist Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara reportedly announced on Thursday that the army will issue over 50,000 mandatory conscription orders to ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) yeshiva students in July. This comes amid an escalating crisis over the conscription of religious students,… — The Palestine Chronicle (@PalestineChron) June 6, 2025 Former Legal Officials Warn of Grave Consequences In a rare and coordinated response, seven former senior legal officials — including former Zionist Supreme Court President Aharon Barak — signed a petition on March 20 warning that there is no legal basis for Baharav-Miara's dismissal. They argued that such a move would severely undermine the rule of law in the Zionist entity. The signatories, which also included former Zionist attorneys general and legal advisors such as Elyakim Rubinstein, Meni Mazuz, Yehuda Weinstein, and Avichai Mandelblit, stated that they had been closely monitoring Baharav-Miara's performance and found her conduct to be in line with legal norms. 'She is facing extraordinary and unprecedented challenges,' they wrote. 'In our view, she is fulfilling her responsibilities in accordance with the principles of law, acting as a legal advisor to the government and a defender of the rule of law.' They emphasized that Baharav-Miara has shown 'a commitment to the law, without fear or favor,' adding that her conduct merits respect, not removal. The dispute between the government and the attorney general, they noted, reflects the government's resistance to legal constraints rather than any failure on her part. 'The attorney general's role is to provide legal guidance to the government within the bounds of the law and to act as the chief guardian of legal norms on behalf of the public,' the petition continued. 'Her dismissal would not only harm the rule of law but also undermine the professional independence of the legal advisory system and weaken its ability to function.' Controversy Deepens Ahead of Hearing Prior to the vote, the Israeli Channel 12 reported that the cabinet had begun formal deliberations to change the legal framework for dismissing the attorney general. Baharav-Miara refused to attend the session, declaring the decision to alter her dismissal process unlawful. Back in late March, the cabinet had already voted unanimously — and in her absence — to withdraw confidence from Baharav-Miara. According to Israel Hayom, the government decided to move forward with her dismissal shortly thereafter. In a letter sent ahead of that session, Baharav-Miara rejected its legitimacy, stressing that the meeting had 'no legal standing.' Following the vote, the Zionist 'Justice Minister,' Levin, released a statement asserting that the government's actions were justified by her 'inappropriate behavior and deep-seated disagreements with the cabinet.' The clash marks a significant escalation in the Netanyahu-led government's broader effort to reshape the Zionist enemy's judiciary — a campaign that has drawn fierce domestic and international criticism for threatening judicial independence and democratic norms.

Iran Parliament Speaker Sheds Light on US Nuclear Proposal

Iran's parliament speaker says Washington's recent nuclear proposal lacks any mention of sanctions relief, calling the US stance contradictory and coercive. Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf criticized the latest US proposal in indirect nuclear talks, saying it lacks any reference to lifting sanctions and reflects a coercive and contradictory approach by Washington. Iran's parliament speaker says Washington's recent nuclear proposal lacks any mention of sanctions relief, calling the US stance contradictory and — Mehr News Agency (@MehrnewsCom) June 8, 2025 Speaking on Wednesday, Qalibaf stressed that according to the Strategic Action Plan to Lift Sanctions passed by Iran's parliament, the Islamic Republic remains fully prepared to build trust by demonstrating the peaceful nature of its nuclear program—but only in return for genuine sanctions relief and tangible economic benefits, all while continuing uranium enrichment on its own soil. 'The fact that the US proposal doesn't even mention lifting sanctions clearly proves the dishonesty and contradiction in America's approach to the indirect nuclear negotiations,' Qalibaf said. He blamed the US for trying to deprive Iran of its internationally recognized right to enrich uranium, all while offering empty promises of economic openings. 'They smile in front of the cameras and talk of economic relief, but in reality, not only do they avoid lifting sanctions—they don't even promise to.' 'It is clear that no rational logic would accept such a unilateral and imposed agreement,' he stressed. Qalibaf further criticized US President Donald Trump, calling him 'delusional' and urging him to change course. If Trump truly seeks a deal, he must abandon his coordination with the Zionist regime and Netanyahu's failed policies, Qalibaf said. He concluded by emphasizing that Iran must resolve its domestic economic problems by relying on internal capacities, thereby forcing the United States to accept a win-win deal that includes genuine sanctions relief. The US and Iran have held five rounds of nuclear talks since April 12 and are expected to meet again for negotiations aimed at reaching a new agreement. The two countries have been at odds over the level of uranium enrichment. Last week, the head of the Iranian negotiating team, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, said in a post on X that Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi presented the elements of the US proposal regarding the nuclear agreement to Iran during a short visit to Tehran. He also said that 'Iran will respond appropriately based on principles, national interests, and the rights of the Iranian people to the proposal.' On Monday, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghaei underlined that considering national interests would be the basis of Tehran's response to the US proposal. 'Naturally, any proposal must be carefully reviewed, and the appropriate response must be based on national principles and interests.'
