Tiny beach hut in trendy Welsh holiday hotspot dubbed 'Cheshire-by-Sea' goes on sale for £150,000
A tiny hut on a trendy Welsh holiday hotspot dubbed 'Cheshire-by-Sea' has gone on the market for an eye-watering £150,000.
The bare-bones beach-side shelter is just 12ft long by 10ft wide - smaller than a standard parking space - and is made of corrugated iron.
Buyers won't even be able to stay in the cabin overnight as sleepovers are banned.
The changing hut has no furniture inside, with the only furnishings a stripy shower curtain and a few small signs.
But it holds stunning views over the seacape on the sandbanks beside Abersoch - a north Wales peninsula whose well-heeled staycationers include Coleen Rooney and Bear Grylls.
Just last month another sea-side plot went up for grabs for a stunning £100,000... and it didn't even include a cabin.
The shack's price-tag is only £8,000 short of the average cost of a terraced home in the county of Gwynedd - according to figures from the Office of National Statistics.
Estate agent Beresford Adams called it a 'fantastic opportunity to acquire a modern freehold bathing hut on this renowned beach in Abersoch.'

They continued: 'This is a modern constructed hut built some four years ago lying about 200 yards towards the Yacht club end of the beach from Footprints Café down Golf Road.
'The hut lies along the sand dunes just slightly set back from the front line huts, enjoying magnificent views across Cardigan Bay to the Moorings and the St Tudwals Islands.
'The hut measures 12' 4' x 10' internally with a small mezzanine storage area and a changing cubicle. A timber Balcony 11' x 6' 9' with double wooden door entry.'
Coleen Rooney and her family make regular holiday trips to Abersoch, swapping the beaches of the Caribbean for North Wales most years.
In August 2023 she posted several family snaps of her children with the caption: 'Always the best time in Abersoch.'
Porth Mawr beach runs at nearly half a mile in length and is known among locals for its golden sand and is mainly backed by the dunes.
Explaining the lure of Abersoch, tourist body Visit Snowdonia said: 'There are three beaches at Abersoch - it's the main beach that holds the Blue Flag and the Seaside Award.

A schoolgirl has died suddenly with tributes pouring in for a heartbroken family's "beautiful daughter". The community in Pembrokeshire has now pulled together to help her family with the tragic loss. 1 Lily Wilson, 10, passed away in her home village of Simpson Cross last week from a suspected medical condition. She lived with her devastated parents Andy and Kate and little sister Eva and was a popular member of the Roch Community Primary School. Lily, described as a "loved and valued pupil" died suddenly with a post-mortem examination expected to be held to give the cause of death. Emma Robertson, a family friend, has set up a fundraising appeal to help Lily's family cover the cost of the funeral. More than £13,000 has been raised in 24 hours as of Wednesday, June 4, smashing the initial £2,000 target. The appeal reads: "Last week, dear friends Andy and Kate, suffered the most devastating sudden and unexpected loss of their beautiful 10 year old daughter Lily. "The pain of the last week is a pain no parent should ever have to imagine, let alone navigate their way through. "Lily was a loved and valued pupil in Roch community primary school and I know her friends, their parents and staff alike are all heartbroken at the sudden loss of Lily." She went on to add that friends, colleagues and the local community "desperately want to help them in any way possible". "With the permission of Kate and Andy, I would like to try and help raise funds to help with the financial burden of the funeral of beautiful Lily. "Together, we could all help ensure that Lily has the special day she deserves and take away some of that worry from Andy and Kate, so they can focus their attention on Lily's little sister, Eva." Emma also stated that with any left over money, Lily's parents want to put the funds toward a local defibrillator in Simpson Cross so others have access to "vital and life saving piece of equipment". She added: "Every rural village should have access to such vital resources. "Maybe together, we can all help this happen." BBC tells parents: Speak to your child in mother tongue before English
The BBC material explains that it 'is increasingly common for one parent to speak one language and another parent to speak another language' and for them to use 'a common language such as English … to interact with each other'. Additional videos offer insights into introducing children to speaking Polish, Urdu, Punjabi and Gujarati. The launch of this material on the CBeebies Parenting website comes after the 2021 census revealed that 8.9 per cent of people in England and Wales speak a language other than English as their main language. It also comes amid concerns that too many migrants do not have a good grasp of English. Government planning fluency requirement Last month, Sir Keir Starmer unveiled plans to make sure migrants speak fluent English if they want to remain in Britain. The level of English required is to be raised from the equivalent of GCSE to the equivalent of A Level. The BBC's guidance takes into account increased levels of bilingualism. Case studies are offered in a Parenting Life section that cover 'raising a multicultural, multilingual child' and ' LGBTQ+ adoption'.
