Penrith and Carlisle City tonight go head to head in the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup final at Brunton Park.
The Northern League Division One rivals meet in the county senior cup showpiece at Carlisle United's ground (kick-off 7.30pm).
Darren Edmondson's side are hoping to get their hands on the trophy for the first time since 2010, while Dan Kirkup's City are hoping to emulate their 2022 success.
Penrith had the better of their respective meetings in the league, enjoying 2-1 wins in both encounters.

Edmondson's 17th-placed side finished one place above City in the table, an impressive 2-1 win at second-placed Shildon ending their league fixtures on Saturday. City ended 18th after a 4-1 last-day home defeat to Northallerton Town.
Cumberland FA chair Adam Pattison set the scene for the final in tonight's digital programme published by the county association.
He noted that this will be the last season where the competition is named after the late former chair Fred Conway, who died in November 2022.
"We all know just how much the Cumberland Cup meant to Fred, having dedicated a large part of his life to the various aspects of the grassroots game," Mr Pattison said.
"This will be the last season that the competition is named after Fred, as we always stated that we would revert to the Cumberland Cup after three finals, as we believe that this is what he would have insisted upon, and we therefore plan to honour his legacy through different means.
"Congratulations to Penrith AFC and Carlisle City FC on reaching this evening's final.
"This evening will be the third time the teams have met this season, with Penrith having edged the two league encounters between the sides. The tight meetings between the teams during the league campaign reflect the aforementioned league standings.
"With this in mind, I'm sure we're in for an exciting final this evening between two well matched teams, who will both be eyeing silverware tonight as the perfect way to sign off on already successful seasons."
Mr Pattison also thanked hosts Carlisle United for allowing Brunton Park to offer their "first-class" facilities for the final, and acknowledged the match officials - Callum Black, Ryan Woods, Aaron Roberts and Matthew Rogerson.
The final was initially scheduled to be played at Workington Reds' Borough Park but a clash with Uppies and Downies saw it switched to Carlisle.
"I would also like to thank Workington AFC and particularly their Vice Chair Richard Lewthwaite, for their help and support in initial plans for the final to take place at Borough Park for a second consecutive season," added Mr Pattison.
Entry in Brunton Park's B and C Stands tonight is £5 for adults, £3 concessions, while tickets bought online are discounted to £3/£2 - see above or click HERE

Tijjani Reijnders ‘really excited' to link up with Man City for Club World Cup

Tijjani Reijnders 'could not wait' to undergo his medical with Manchester City and expects to be in their squad for the Club World Cup. The 26-year-old Netherlands midfielder has agreed a five-year contract to move to City from AC Milan for 55million euros (approximately £46million) and told Italian media he had spent Sunday conducting a medical with Pep Guardiola's side. Advertisement City will play their first match of the Club World Cup against Morocco's Wydad AC on June 18 and the arrival of Reijnders could also impact the future of Jack Grealish at City. Reijnders told Gazzetta: 'The medical? I couldn't wait to do it. The plan is to take part at the Club World Cup with City. I'm really excited about that. 'Doing that means I'll get to know my new team-mates soon.' Reijnders was a bright spark in a disappointing season for Milan, who only finished eighth in Serie A, missing out on qualification for Europe. Manchester City's Jack Grealish could leave this summer (Martin Rickett/PA) Reijnders, who joined the Italian giants from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2023, scored 15 goals in 2024-25 and will bolster Guardiola's midfield options following the departure of Kevin De Bruyne. Advertisement As first reported by the Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, England international Grealish looks set to miss out on City's final 35-man squad for the Club World Cup. The 29-year-old was not summoned from the bench in last month's FA Cup final defeat by Crystal Palace and omitted from the squad for the last game of the season at Fulham altogether.

Transfer news: Gittens to Chelsea, Kepa to Arsenal, Livramento to Man City

There's plenty of juicy transfer news circling as some of the Premier League's big boys continue to act fast in the summer transfer window. MORE — Premier League ins and outs from the summer transfer window Below we round up the latest transfers news concerning Premier League clubs. Gittens the latest young star heading to Chelsea? A report from The Athletic says that Chelsea are in negotiations with Borussia Dortmund to sign 20-year-old winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens who wants the move and a seven-year contract is reportedly on the table. Fabrizio Romano has added that Dortmund have rejected a $40 million bid but Chelsea are going to improve their bid to sign Gittens. The England U21 international has played regularly in the Bundesliga since joining Dortmund from Man City in 2022. He played in City's U23 side alongside new signing Liam Delap, midfielder Romeo Lavia and star playmaker Cole Palmer, so he should slot in seamlessly. Gittens left City just before current Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was appointed as manager of their U23 side, but Maresca is clearly using his connections with that incredible U23 side. Gittens' arrival is a direct replacement for Jadon Sancho, as the winger is back at Manchester United after Chelsea declined the option to make his move permanent this summer. It lines up well with Chelsea's recruitment policy of signing young, hungry talent and Gittens has an eye for goal, makes things happen with his driving runs and has a lot of experience at the top level for his age. It all makes a lot of sense. Kepa to Arsenal is very sensible Gunner Blog has revealed that Arsenal are close to signing goalkeeper Kepa from Chelsea, with his $6.7 million release clause to be activated. The Spanish international goalkeeper, 30, was very impressive on loan at Bournemouth last season and it's a bit of a surprise that he's willing to go back to being a number two. But he will provide stiff competition for David Raya and it's very likely he will play at least 10-15 games a season to try and keep Raya fresh. This is a savvy move from Arsenal and gives them real competition in goal. Who knows, maybe Kepa will even usurp Raya? It's possible. Livramento to Man City is proving difficult Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Manchester City are struggling to sign one of their main targets, Tino Livramento. Per his report, Newcastle aren't budging on their valuation of Livramento as the England international is clearly Pep Guardiola's top target to be their long-term right back. The deal is 'on standby' for now as City may now turn to other options. Livramento, 22, is a fine player and has shaken off his awful luck with injuries to be a really consistent player for Newcastle over the last 12 months. He was key in their League Cup win and reaching the Champions League, so Newcastle do not want to lose the Chelsea academy product. But this could be a once-in-a-lifetime move for Livramento and his pace, direct running and ability to get on the ball and surge into midfield suits Guardiola's system perfectly.

Fresh blow for Panthers as another member of four-straight premiership team set to depart

The Penrith Panthers' four-peat has seen them have to part ways with some massive names like Jarome Luai, Stephen Crichton, Api Koroisau and Matt Burton. And another important member of their NRL juggernaut is set to step down next year, with CEO Brian Fletcher informing the club of his decision to retire on Saturday. Fletcher has been CEO and director of the Panthers for the last 15 years, but the 71-year-old has made the difficult decision to step away. Fletcher will quit the role at the start of 2026, leaving the Panthers with a big decision to make as to who replaces him. 'On behalf of the Panthers Group board, I want to sincerely thank Brian for his tireless service to the Panthers,' the club's Chairman Peter Graham said in a statement. 'Brian's leadership over the past 10 years has helped build a successful organisation. We are grateful for everything he has done to position the club for long-term strength.' The Panthers said in a statement: "Fletcher has played a pivotal role in shaping the organisation and has been instrumental in leading the club through one of the most successful eras in its proud history. His contribution across all facets of the Panthers Group – including the rugby league program, leagues club broader community engagement – has been tremendous. The club will now begin a formal search process to appoint a new Panthers Group CEO who can lead the organisation into its next chapter." Fletcher has been pivotal in helping build the Panthers into the most successful NRL club of the modern era. He was at the heart of the club's decision to build their high-performance academy in 2016, which has produced a number of premiership-winning players. He also helped convince Peter V'landys to join the Australian Rugby League Commission through their horse racing connections, and is widely regarded as one of the best administrators in Australian sport. 'Our focus from a football department point of view has always been about building good young men and champion footballers – and that success would then follow,' Fletcher told the . 'I've enjoyed being a small part in the four successful premierships. There have been a lot of great people in that success.' RELATED: Reece Walsh in State of Origin twist as Slater makes call on DCE 'Shouldn't be involved': Wayne Bennett hit with ban by NRL The 71-year-old is at peace with his decision to walk away. 'You often see people in jobs like mine where you're getting well paid that can stay around too long. I think it's a perfect time to retire. All the clubs are trading well. We've finished building the Pullman Hotel and the 1000-seat convention centre. We have some very talented young people in the organisation. They deserve a crack at it now.' Fletcher joins a long line of figures to leave the Panthers in recent years. The likes of Luai, Crichton, Koroisau, Burton, Viliame Kikau and Sunia Turuva have all been forced to leave the club due to salary constraints, seeking greener pastures and more money at rival clubs. And they've also lost premiership-winning assistant coaches. Cameron Ciraldo has gone on to become the Bulldogs' head-coach, and Andrew Webster has done likewise with the Warriors. Current assistant coach Ben Gardiner has also been linked to joining St Helens in the UK Super League.
