Juventus to prioritise Lille's Edon Zhegrova after Nico Gonzalez's sale
Fabiana della Valle has reported that the Kosovan has given his approval to a move to Turin. But the Old Lady are yet to find an agreement with Lille, even if Zhegrova has only one season remaining on his current contract.
The French side want a fee of €20 million to €25 million to part ways but Juve want to push that valuation to a low amount because of his contract situation, especially because the winger has rejected the idea of a renewal.
As a result, the Bianconeri are first going to sell Gonzalez to Atletico Madrid. There is an agreement over personal terms between the two parties but the Spanish side are yet to meet Juve's asking price of €25 million. This will prove key and will unlock the Old Lady's move for Zhegrova, who is waiting for a transfer.

Bayern Munich missed out on 'top player' as Toni Kroos says he's 'hurt' by midfielder's Saudi Arabia transfer
Kroos said Bayern missed out on signing Millot Bavarians reportedly declined due to attitude concerns French midfielder joined Al-Ahli for €30m Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? Former Real Madrid midfielder Kroos used his podcast to criticise Bayern's transfer strategy, focusing on Millot's summer move. The 23-year-old midfielder left Stuttgart for €30 million (£25m/$33m) to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, despite being available to Bayern for just €20m (£17m/$22m) via a release clause only for European teams, according to Bild. Kroos praised Millot as 'a top player' and claimed the Bavarians missed a big opportunity to strengthen their squad. THE BIGGER PICTURE Bayern are under scrutiny for failing to bolster their midfield depth, with both Kroos and Harry Kane voicing concerns over the thin squad. Millot was reportedly offered to the Bundesliga champions before the Saudi move, but the club declined due to doubts over his attitude. Several European clubs, including Atletico Madrid, were also interested, making Bayern's refusal stand out even more. WHAT TONI KROOS SAID The 2014 World Cup winner used his podcast 'Einfach mal Luppen' to reflect on Bayern's transfer approach, pointing out a major opportunity they let slip. "I would have signed him if I were Bayern. Millot is truly a very, very good player. He was crucial at VfB. A top player," said Kroos. "That hurt me a bit. He'll probably line his pockets for two years and then come back and see what he can do. He's a very good player with a straightforward decision. I was annoyed." WHAT NEXT FOR BAYERN? Millot has signed a three-year deal with Al-Ahli, where he earns around €10m (£8m/$11m) net annually. For Bayern, the pressure grows to address their squad depth and avoid more missed opportunities in upcoming transfer windows, as they prepare to kick off their Bundesliga campaign against RB Leipzig this weekend.

How does the LIV Golf Team Championship work? Here's a quick explainer
Do you need a quick explainer before LIV Golf arrives in Michigan? Don't worry, we have you covered. LIV Golf, the Saudi-backed golf tour, is holding its first tournament in Michigan from Friday, Aug. 22, to Sunday, Aug. 24, at The Cardinal at Saint John's Resort in Plymouth, Michigan. This will be the final event of LIV's 2025 14-tournament schedule, and it will constitute a team championship. We'll get into what that means in a little bit. LIV features some of the most famous golfers in the world, including Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Bubba Watson, Sergio Garcia and Brooks Koepka. Spanish golfer Jon Rahm just claimed his second-straight individual championship last Sunday, Aug. 17 in Indianapolis, despite not having won a tournament all season. So, if Rahm has already won the tour's title, why is there still one more tournament? Let's explain: How does LIV Golf work? Unlike the PGA Tour, LIV Golf crowns both an individual champion and a team champion through a point system across its 14 international tournaments. LIV's 54 players are spread out among 13 teams of four golfers (with reserve and "wild card" players also on the tour), many of which from countries like Spain, Australia and South Africa. Each three-day tournament features a standard 54 holes, and the player with the lowest score wins the tournament title and 40 points towards their overall total. The second-place finisher from each tournament gets 30 points and third place earns 24, with lower finishers earning a sliding scale of points. The four-person team with the lowest combined score after each tournament also takes home a title, with the first-place team earning 32 points towards their title. The second-place team earns 24 points and the third-place team earns 16 points. LIV crowns an individual champion after its 13th tournament (Rahm won this year's title). Since the Michigan tournament will be its 14th and final event of the 2025 season, we're going to focus on the team tournament format. Team Championship Michigan format While most LIV tournaments use the more common stroke-play format, the Michigan tournament will use a modified match-play format, where teams will face head-to-head in a six-match quarterfinal on day 1, a three-match semifinal on day 2 and a three-team final on day 3. Only 12 of the 13 teams will participate in the final tournament, with the two lowest-seeded teams battling in a play-in match for the chance to compete in the team championship. Friday and Saturday will feature three match-play rounds, with two individual contests and one foursome contest per matchup. Teams will be seeded, with the higher-seeded teams getting to choose their opponents for the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. Six winners will move on from Friday's play and three will move on from Saturday's play, with players from losing teams able to continue playing through Saturday and Sunday for prize money allocation. Sunday's event moves from a match play to a stroke-play format, with all four players from the three remaining teams contributing to their team's overall score. Whichever of the three teams with the lowest combined score at the end of the round is declared the winner. So ... where do these teams stand? LIV Golf team standings Here are the team standings entering Team Championship Michigan: Legion XIII, which features captain and individual champion Jon Rahm, has a commanding lead over the field entering the final tournament and will get the first opportunity to choose its opponent for the quarterfinal round. Second-place Crushers GC is lead by its captain DeChambeau, while Garcia leads the third-place Fireballs GC. When is LIV Golf Michigan? The LIV Golf Team Championship in Michigan will take place from Friday, Aug. 22 to Sunday, Aug. 24 at The Cardinal at Saint John's in Plymouth. Here are the tee off times for each round: Friday, Aug. 22: 12:05 p.m. ET (quarterfinals). Saturday, Aug. 23: 10:05 a.m. ET (semifinals). Sunday, Aug. 24: 1:05 p.m. ET (finals). Colorado Rockies game no. 128 thread: Clayton Kershaw vs. Chase Dollander
It has been quite an interesting series for the Colorado Rockies as they have looked competitive against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Granted, the Dodgers are nowhere near full strength this season, but that doesn't dismiss the fact that the Rockies have played well in their two victories thus far. Guaranteed the split, the Rockies will now look to hand the Dodgers their first series loss to a division opponent this season. Rookie right-hander Chase Dollander (2-9, 6.43 ERA) takes the mound for the Rockies to make his third start since returning to the big leagues. After a strong first outing against the St. Louis Cardinals, Dollander didn't look as crisp in his last outing. He labored through 4 2/3 innings against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field, allowing five runs on six hits, but he did manage six strikeouts against two walks. Dollander's command has been spotty, resulting in deep counts and extended at-bats. He did have success his last time facing the Dodgers at Coors Field back on June 25. In that start, he allowed three runs on three hits over 5 2/3 innings. The Dodgers will send out future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw (7-2, 3.01 ERA). At the age of 37, Kershaw is still dealing and finding ways to fool hitters and get outs. He has been on point in August, allowing just two runs in 18 innings across three starts. His last outing saw him allow just one run on two hits in six innings against the San Diego Padres. His last start against the Rockies came on June 26 at Coors Field, in which he tossed six innings, allowing a run on two hits while striking out five. First Pitch: 1:10 p.m. MDT TV: Radio: KOA 850 AM/94.1 FM; KNRV 1150 (Spanish) Lineups: Please keep in mind our when you're commenting. Thanks!
