Sana'a (Saba) – The General Authority for Research, Technology, and Innovation honored 68 male and female students who won the 1446 AH Science and Technology Olympiad, which was implemented by the Authority in cooperation with the capital's education sector and Al-Rasheed Smart University.
At the ceremony held on this occasion, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi considered the honoring a symbol of victory, adding to the record of victories achieved by the Yemeni people, especially in light of the current circumstances in which the country is subjected to American-Israeli aggression.

Over the next two weeks, the sector will review achievement levels in the annual reports of both public and private universities and community colleges. Meetings will be held with university and college presidents to discuss their reports and the provided data. The first session involved the review of the Emirates International University's annual report, presented by its leadership. The report detailed the university's operational achievements, developments in academic, administrative, and research areas, infrastructure expansion, challenges, and proposed solutions. Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi emphasized the importance of this process for assessing performance, identifying shortcomings, and improving the quality of higher education. He stressed the need for transparency and accurate data. Undersecretary of the Higher Education Sector, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, stated that reviewing all university reports is crucial for evaluation and understanding their achievements and challenges. He noted that this process would inform the national classification of universities and highlighted the complementary role of private institutions. Dr. Ahmed Al-Haboub, Chairman of the Academic Accreditation Council, underscored the significance of these reports for the National University Classification Project. Dr. Ilham Al-Sanabani, Vice Chair of the review committee, outlined the evaluation themes used for the fifth consecutive year, including strategic planning, student statistics, faculty, finances, quality management, research, and community services. Moscow - (Saba): The Russian Soyuz MS-26 spacecraft successfully landed in the steppes of Kazakhstan on Sunday, carrying Russian cosmonauts Alexey Ovchinin and Ivan Vagner, and American astronaut Donald Pettit, after a mission of more than 200 days to the International Space Station. The crew began their return journey after the spacecraft separated from the station at 00:57 Moscow time. The braking system then began operating in preparation for the landing, which occurred as planned at 3:27 a.m. During the mission, the crew conducted more than 40 scientific experiments, in addition to a spacewalk to install a spectrometer to study cosmic radiation.
