
Bacha Coffee opens European flagship boutique on Paris' iconic Champs-Elysees
Founded in 1910 at the historic Dar el Bacha palace in Marrakech, Morocco, Bacha Coffee was brought onto the global stage by French-Moroccan entrepreneur Taha Bouqdib, who is based in Singapore. Bouqdib launched Bacha Coffee's first international outpost in 2019 at Singapore's Ion Orchard shopping mall.
Today, Bacha Coffee is managed by parent company V3 Gourmet, which also owns TWG Tea. It was established by Bouqdib and Singaporean billionaire Ron Sim, the founder of wellness technology and lifestyle products company OSIM.
Located at 26 Avenue des Champs-Elysees, the Paris store aims to transport visitors to the Dar el Bacha palace in Marrakech. Its interior features precious tones of red ochre, black and white chequered floors, geometric patterned trellises and carved cedar wood.
A coffee boutique is located on the ground floor, where customers can discover a selection of more than 200 types of 100 per cent Arabica coffees, roasted by hand according to traditional methods. Diners can also choose to takeaway their coffees to enjoy them while strolling on the Champs-Elysees.
Any of the 200 coffees on offer can be prepared to order, hot or iced, accompanied by a serving of fresh Chantilly cream, along with a raw sugar candy stick and reusable glass straw. Customers may choose to pair their coffee with a selection of sweet and savoury croissants. Flavours include comte cheese, butter, coffee and chocolate, vanilla creme brulee and more.
The boutique seats a total of 100 guests across five distinctive spaces, spread over two floors.
To celebrate this opening, Bacha Coffee has collaborated with celebrated French Moroccan artist Mehdi Qotbi to conceive 2,000 serialised pieces of a special edition of the I Love Paris Coffee. Available exclusively at the Bacha Coffee Champs-Elysees boutique, the gift box, which is part of the Bacha Coffee Signature Nomad collection, reproduces Mehdi Qotbi's work which is integrated into the decor of the Parisian flagship.
Th opening of the new flagship is part of V3's ambitious strategy to open a Bacha Coffee outlet in all major capitals of the world by 2030. The brand currently has 31 locations in 12 major cities, including Dubai, Doha, Seoul, Singapore, Taipei and Hong Kong.
'My dream is to be able to enjoy a cup of Bacha coffee whenever I travel to any major city in the world, in the same environment and with the same service and style,' Bouqdib said in an interview with CNA Luxury last year.

Blackstone sells biggest UK CMBS since 2008 financial crisis
[NEW YORK] Blackstone sold more than £1.5 billion (S$2.6 billion) in bonds backed by UK holiday parks operated by Haven, the largest ever pound-denominated commercial mortgage security since the 2008 financial crisis, according to a source with knowledge of the matter. The CMBS accounts for about half of a broader refinancing package for Haven, said the source, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. A spokesperson for Blackstone declined to comment. Bloomberg previously reported that Blackstone was in talks to issue the debt. The European market for commercial mortgage-backed securities is far smaller than its US counterpart, but has recently shown signs of a revival. It comes about three months after Blackstone priced a £270 million CMBS in Europe secured by affordable and social rent properties managed by Blackstone's Sage Homes business. Haven belongs to parent company Bourne Leisure, which Blackstone bought in 2021. Airbus said to deliver fewer aircraft in July amid engine woes
[NEW YORK] Airbus delivered about 63 aircraft last month, roughly 18 per cent fewer than during the same month a year ago, as a shortage of engines on its best-selling A320neo model hampered handovers to customers, sources familiar with the matter said. The world's biggest planemaker has delivered around 370 planes in the first seven months of 2025, less than half its annual goal. July delivery figures are preliminary and could change slightly, the sources cautioned, asking not to be identified discussing confidential data. An Airbus spokesperson declined to comment on the July tally ahead of the official publication of figures next week. Deliveries are closely watched by investors because that is when airline customers pay over the bulk of the money for an aircraft order. This week, Airbus's chief executive officer Guillaume Faury said that while the company continued to maintain its full-year guidance of around 820 handovers, supply chain issues would push out the bulk of the deliveries into the second half of the year. By comparison, Airbus delivered 77 jets in July a year ago, taking seven-month handovers to 400 at that point. The company had 60 so-called gliders, newly built aircraft on the ground without engines, at the end of June, a number it aims to eradicate by the end of the year, Airbus management said on an earnings call on Wednesday. Boeing has been ramping up production of its competing 737 Max jet and has been catching up to its European rival. It was neck-and-neck with Airbus at the half-year mark, with 280 deliveries versus 306 at the European planemaker. The US planemaker has been working to return its factories to a steadier tempo. It's also cushioned by a surplus of inventory as a consequence of a strike in late 2024 and its decision earlier in the year to slow production to address quality shortfalls after a door-shaped panel blew out of an airborne 737 Max. Europe: Shares log biggest daily drop since April after US tariffs hike
[BENGALURU] European stocks logged their biggest one-day drop in over three months on Friday (Aug 1), at the end of a busy week as investors grappled with the repercussions of fresh US levies on dozens of countries, including a 39 per cent tariff on Switzerland. Investors shunned riskier equities globally as Trump continued his tariff blitz, announcing steep levies on exports from dozens of trading partners including Canada, Brazil, India and Taiwan with countries not listed subject to a base 10 per cent rate ahead of a Friday trade deal deadline. Healthcare stocks lost 1 per cent after US President Donald Trump sent letters to the leaders of 17 major pharmaceutical companies, including Novo Nordisk and Sanofi, outlining how they should slash US prescription drug prices. The sector was already singed this week by Novo Nordisk's profit warning. The Denmark-listed Wegovy-maker shed 1.8 per cent and logged its steepest weekly decline on record. 'We saw during the week that companies such as Novo Nordisk had different issues. European pharma is very close to bottoming and that's why it didn't react to the uncertainty around tariffs and policy,' Anthi Tsouvali, a multi-asset strategist at UBS Global Wealth Management said. 'Europe is an export market... if we see heightened tariffs all over the world and trade being subdued, then that will have an impact on European companies regardless.'
